Good suggestion from a wise and knowledgeable bro. Just to add... If the returned product gets missing, another wahala or the seller claims it's been tampered with Protein0: I'll advise you to keep the item and claim partial refund
Here is d reason, you'll return it for nothing less than 8$, then wait till she ships another one which might be the same. Band 28 is very unpopular in China.
Just sell d one you have, claim partial refund and make it up to get another one from another store while making a thorough research to be sure it has band 28 prior to purchase |

I'm on the latest miui version 10.0.4.0 if I change to the default theme its there. Another intriguing thing I noticed is that depending on your device version, the way the Settings entries are arranged may be different. For example on the Global Version (SG) on the settings menu you have for example Battery and Performance. On the Taiwanese version (SH) under the same Settings, the menu entry is Battery and I'm sure this might be different on the Chinese version (Chinese ROM) genius43: I guess you are not on version 10.0.4 yet, cos it is visibly absent irrespective of the theme |
Phones › Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by bigtt76(f): 9:18am On Nov 30, 2018 |
The theme you use sometimes affect the proper display of settings. I'm using My Oreo theme and each time I check for miui updates, that blue button to click is missing but when I changed to the default Miui theme, it reappears Change back to your default theme and see if you can find the settings there. 2kurupt: What version of MIUI 10 are you on? Mine is 10.0.4.0 and this issue became prevalent after I did my last update. That's why I believe it's a bug.
That particular option is missing on mine and that's one particular setting I always disable since from my days of redmi note 3. |

Politics › Re: We’ll Miss 2019 Target For Refineries’ Revamp – Kachikwu by bigtt76(f): 11:46am On Nov 27, 2018 |
As if they planned revamping it nwakibie3: ’Femi Asu
The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, has said the plan to get the nation’s ailing refineries to work at almost full capacity will not materialise by 2019.
Kachikwu stated this on Monday in Lagos at the 18th edition of the International HSE Biennial Conference on the Oil and Gas Industry in Nigeria organised by the Department of Petroleum Resources, in conjunction with other stakeholders.
Last year, the minister vowed to resign if the country failed to attain self-sufficiency in the refining of petroleum products by 2019.
When asked to state the year that Nigeria would be self-sufficient in refining petroleum products, Kachikwu, who was a guest on BBC Hard Talk in London on May 22, 2017, replied, “I have said 2019, and that is the target that I gave.”
Earlier on May 4, 2017, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation expressed commitment to actualise the December 2019 target set by the Federal Government to end the importation of petroleum products into the country.
The Group Managing Director, NNPC, Dr Maikanti Baru, was quoted in a statement as saying at the Nigeria Oil Industry Award Dinner during the Offshore Technology Conference 2018 in Houston, United States, that measures had been taken to achieve the target.
He explained that in terms of refining and production of local petroleum products, the ongoing arrangement with the original builders of the refineries to return them to at least 90 per cent capacity utilisation before the 2019 deadline was still intact.
Kachikwu said on Monday in a keynote address that 10 out of the over 40 licensed modular refineries had got into serious work, with three likely to come on stream towards the end of next year.
He said work was ongoing on the four refineries owned by the NNPC, adding, “Hopefully in the next board meeting next week, we will be able to come to final landing on the commercial terms for those investments. If we do, that brings in the processing of 445,000 barrels of crude.
“Even though I had wanted in my usual bullish nature to get this thing driven so that we can have all the refineries working by end of 2019, obviously it will slip a bit. But what is important that we must begin the process. We are going to deliver those barrels refined by 2020, so be it.”
On the refinery being built by Aliko Dangote in Lagos, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, the minister said, “We are working very hard with him on it.”
The PUNCH reported on November 8, 2019 that the proposed rehabilitation of the nation’s refineries had suffered delays as the third-party financiers for the project had yet to be announced, more than a year after the NNPC said 28 firms had expressed interest in its financing.
Nigeria has four refineries, two in Port Harcourt and one each in Kaduna and Warri, with an installed capacity of 445,000 bpd, but they have continued to operate far below the installed capacity for many years.

Lucky you ....Nice buh this place nor be busy naaa ....come Ikoyi or Festac come see Emmahunk: CHANGE? You Will Be Shocked At What I Saw In This Govt. Office. (photos)
In a Country where it's extremely difficult to find any public office that actually works, I hardly expected much but my experience at Warri Passport Office left me stunned.
I have decided to share this because we as citizens owe it as a duty to bring to public knowledge the ills in our public institutions. In same vein, posterity will hold us accountable if we do not commend those that at least tried to make a difference. Having been away from the Country for close to a decade, I have decided to come back home a little earlier and uppermost in my agenda was the renewal of my Nigerian passport. At Lagos ,my siblings had advised that I handle the renewal when I got into my good old town of Warri as the town now boasts of a Passport Office. I actually agreed to this with mixed feelings knowing what the hustle and bustle of anything Warri used to be like. Few days after I arrived Warri, I left for the passport office not knowing what to expect in the company of my two siblings.
My first shock came when at the main gate of the Delta State Government House Annex, manned by different security agencies, a young Immigration officer almost magically appeared beside the passenger door of my car and politely asked; " sir, how may we help you?" For the first few seconds, I was pleasantly surprised and wondered if this was happening in the same Nigeria we have been reading so much filth about.
On realising that I had come to renew my expired passport, this same man politely directed us where to park the car and proceeded with us in tow to where he called the 'servicom' desk. By this time, I had taken a quick assessment of the environment and besides a sign on the wall that reads, "welcome to Warri Passport Office" , there was nothing to tell me I was in a Passport office. I mean, no crowd, no hustling and bustling that is synonymous with your average passport office. At this point, I have become very apprehensive. My mind kept screaming, scam!
Anyway, now at the servicom desk, I met about two people already filling out forms and I joined them while wondering where everyone else was if truly I was in the right place. Few minutes later, one of the officers at the desk ushered us into a fully air conditioned semi hall where over fifty people were comfortably seated watching a news channel on a wide LCD television. Again, I wondered but this time at the serenity and orderliness of the crowd. Something definitely is not right, I reasoned. Then, just as we were settling down, a voice came through the speakers installed somewhere: " Attention please , Numbers.....to....,please move to room 3 to collect your passports". I was still wondering if truly this was Nigeria when another voice called out this time a set of names directing them to two different rooms conspicuously marked SCREENING AND APPROVALS. The orderliness was so amazing that for a moment, I realised that this Country can work again. By now, my inquisitive mind was asking so many questions and as if in answer to one of these numerous questions, a young lady in well fitted uniform emerged from the room marked 'screening and walked briskly into the room marked 'approval'. She emerged from the room in less than two minutes and in very clear voice called out about ten names of people that she asked to follow her for capturing.
I was stunned and took a quick glance at my wrist watch as people left the room in batches creating room for new entrants like myself. My watch revealed that I had spent about forty two minutes when I heard my name over the speakers. I quickly entered the room that I was directed to and met about four busy officers again in an air conditioned room. The interview was brisk, thorough BUT professional.
In all it took an hour and 52 minutes from the time I sat down at the servicom desk to submit my application before my number was announced to go to room 3 for collection of my passport.
Albeit this sounds too good to be true, I must confess that till this moment of writing, I am still wondering how a public office in Nigeria can be so organised , comfortable , courteous and efficient.
Definitely, all hope is not lost in this Country, trust me. |

Hmmmm.... I feel for the Oukitel K10000 and almost bought it before I stumbled on this thread PaulThor: . Lol, i used oukitel k6000 plus and my brother, I hear am. The phone must be switched off after charging unless you won't recieve calls. You can use it to iron your clothes sef. The overheating can cause global warming. And the battery life though good isn't as I expected. I decided that wasn't a phone for me. I mistakenly saw mi max on jumia and in getting to know it, I found out it has an improved version, mi max 2. This was going to be my first Mi phone. After using the phone, my life became illuminated. All I wanted was a phone that's warm on heavy usage but xiaomi gave me a phone that remained cool no matter my heavy use. . I said am using gionee and I regret buying it. Those comparing tecno, umidigi, infinix, with this brand need Holy Spirit intervention. It will give you what Samsung will give you and halve the price with better camera and better battery juice. If a brand can conquer India that's over 1 billion people within 2 years, then it's not just hype but excellence inclusive.. . I have bought over 10 xiaomi devices for friends and family. All I get are good and wonderful report. . Don't worry, doubters go believe when they use one. . By the way . N50K FOR MY GIONEE M7 POWER . The phone is worth N100k now oo . Holla if you are interested.. |

Yea back in the days our Boyz would buy from those platforms and ship to their folks back home. Once it's been shipped and arrived, they would file a charge back claiming not delivered or unknown transaction. Of course they would get refunded but the goods bought has already been delivered optimised: Is that the reason? good to know, because I always wonder. I had thought it was their prohibitive shipping and postage fees. |

Was the water contact caused by the customer (buyer)? Or it was a factory defect? Just curious because some customers (buyers) can be so callous to attribute anything to the seller I feel for you touts though ...not easy! Well done. Protein0: You and any other persons that have this and other similar issues can buzz me if you want your device returned to Xiaomi after sales for assessment and subsequent repairs, you'll bear the shipping costs plus the repair cost if it is found out to be user's damage, otherwise repair is free. A certificate of the assessment will be given prior to repair to make you decide
Below is an example of such case. Customer bought note 5 4/64gb. After 4 days, he called to say screen has stopped responding to touches. I retrieved the phone from him and refunded him. I sent the phone back to xiaomi after sales unit, below is the assessment report. Phone has had contact with water before. When I retrieved it, it was just the screen not touching, but the phone, on reaching China, could not be powered on again, obviously due to continuous moisture effect while in transit To pay ¥350 for repairs. There are instances when some buyers chickened out of having their items returned for assessment by xiaomi on being told dt factory faults will be repaired for free but they'll have to pay if buyer's damage.
Point of reference is that, people will flay the brand for such short duration of usage B4 developing fault, oblivious of the fact that even a new born baby exposed to harsh conditions will "develop faults", if not die. |
