PayPal Official be like ... Lazyreporta: It’s no news that Nigerian PayPal do not receive fund but can only send, this makes it difficult for it to be used for online business aside for buying and paying for goods and services. I have thought about this a lot and I did a top research on it and discovered a way out and this is the use of Lesotho PayPal which has the full PayPal feature, which means that it can send and receive fund as well as do other things a foreign PayPal does. So let me go straight to the point.

A classical example of removing the log in your eyes first before pointing out one in another person's eyes. Majority of the hawkers on Lagos Street running after moving vehicles are from Ebonyi state... Why not rehabilitate them first? They are more your blood than the Benue and Taraba IDPs SMH... anything for politics Funnicator: http://dailypost.ng/2018/01/10/will-make-laws-prevent-troubled-herdsmen-coming-ebonyi-umahi/
The governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi yesterday threatened that the state will make a law to prevent troubled herdsmen from entering into the state. He regretted that herdsmen blocked him from entering into his village. Umahi made this known while addressing his exco-members during the first executive council meeting that took place at the exco-chambers, government house Abakaliki. He words: “On Monday we will meet with our brothers and sisters, the herdsmen living in Ebonyi, we have managed ourselves very well but we are not happy.
“It takes enough of tolerance and a lot of patience and spirit of love for the leader of the state to condone what is happening here to happen. For if it happens in other states, they will go to war. “A lot of our farm lands has been destroyed, in everyday people will send text messages to me. So we will review our relationship with them and we will warn them that we will not continue to tolerate that. We will like to identify who and who are the real herdsmen that have been staying with us in Ebonyi state. And so, we will prevent those of them that will want to migrate to Ebonyi to cause trouble here. “We will make our law that trouble herdsmen Will not come to Ebonyi, so we register them and know who they are. So that if anybody is expanding it and we will say no to that
“During the meeting we will do a serious warning. Imagine governor will be moving on the way and cattles as far away in my village stopping the movement of a sitting governor. “What kind of country is that, we will not tolerate it again, neither shall we say that the herdsmen who have stayed with us for 60 years should leave us. “But we have to agree on what happens. We told them that we can open rice horse for your cattles and then it is their duty to go out there and get it for their Cows.
“We were told the other day that the herdsmen allowed their thousands of cattle at Ezzillo to finish our rice. In Izzi, Afikpo north and Ivo LGAs the same thing. We will not continue to fold our hands and allow herdsmen to continue to destroyed our crops, neither shall we take the laws into our hands.” The governor also commended President Mohummadu Buhari for sending troops to Benue state to forestall further killings of the people of the area but tasked him to fish out the killers and bring them to face the wrath of the law.
“We thank the federal government for deploying a large troop to Benue state to forestall further Killings but we request them to do every thing possible to fish out the killers and bring them to book so that it will serve as Warning to others.
There is no religion that permit the taken away a life of another man. “It is God that gives life. And so, God cannot give and expect a lower being to take the life away. And we also sympathize with River state about the people that was massacred and we commend President Buhari and security agency especially the army on the wonderful work they did in tracking the leader of the militants that massacre our people in River state. “And we ask them to fish out the remaining members of the gang so that they will face the law accordingly.”
Umahi also announced the approval of N29 million naira for the purchase of rice, yam, wrapper and other items to assist the displaced persons in Taraba and Benue states. “I want to thank exco-members for approving N29 million to assist our brothers and sisters who were displaced in Taraba and Benue states”, he added. |

Not trying to justify Glo's poor service or preach to you to remain but let me ask the following questions 1. Have you checked to make sure the network mode on your phone or dongle is set to 3G alone? Leaving it at Auto as most people unknowingly do, degrades service performance as your phone hovers from 3G to 2G or 4G as the case may be. I have mine steady on 3G and at night I revert to 2G to save battery life. 2. Are you on 4GLTE? If yes then, I would advice you stick to 3G. Not sure Glo have upgraded all their base stations to 4G or have them compatible. I use only 3G. 3. Have you tried your SIM on any other device other than the one you're experiencing issues with? Some of these mobile phones have low radio power hence are unable to amplify the signals they get from the base stations. Most equipment manufacturers trade quality for fanciful features to attract patronage. Of what use is a mobile phone with 10000mAH battery or 40 mega pixel camera (front and back), sleekiness, gbogbotigbo but comes with low radio transmission power? 4. Have you tried other network Simon your phone in the same area to see if they perform any better? Most networks are based on shared infrastructure so what affects network A, would most likely affect network B maasoap: My data just expired and sms alert was sent from Glo network. I'm glad to inform you that I was happy it was finally over with the frustration of the highest order. For the past one or more week, I couldn't open a website page with it. It was badly timed for glo: reduction of data volume by half combined with the dead network. Bye bye to rubbish. Please, don't tell me that it was due to my area. |

Sad really. Its obvious there was a power surge 360metrosports: Vivid Imagination, one of Nigeria’s oldest fashion brands, lost millions of naira on Friday following an early morning fire that engulfed its main store and factory located at Falemi House, Obanikoro, Lagos.
According to reports, the fire which must have been caused by a power surge, started at about 2am, and raged for hours before it was put out by men of the Lagos State Fire Service assisted by some well-wishers. By the time the dust had settled, the store, which is home to the company and client’s fabrics, clients’ ready-to-be-delivered outfits, ready-made clothes, shoes, accessories and documents, was completely razed and virtually all the machines were burnt.
Dele Momodu who shared photos from the scene wrote, 'Fire guts one of Nigeria's biggest fashion factories VIVID IMAGINATION in Lagos, my designers of 27 years'.
An official statement from the Management, signed by the Managing Director, Godwin Mekwuye, said: “We wish to announce that early this morning there was afire incident at our company that vastly affected our store and factory. The damage done by this incident was phenomenal because it affected over thirty years of the brand’s history and memories as well as hundreds of millions naira worth of goods and equipment. This is a very difficult time for us as we begin to investigate the cause or causes of this disaster, but we assure our clients’ that the process of revival will begin immediately and we would ensure that this setback will not affect our time-tested efficiency and qualitative service delivery.”

Business › Re: Nigeria: Mobile Payments Still Hugely Untapped by bigtt76(f): 1:57pm On Feb 10, 2018 |
This is because CBN is very confused as to what make up 'Mobile Payments' ....Mobile Money is not the same as Mobile Payments even though I can use my bank issued cards to make payments through my mobile, it does not equate to Mobile Money ...but they won't allow innovators to tap into this rather they would be giving all sort of requirements for mobile money license with ridiculous fees postbox: Data from a new report series from the NBS, produced in collaboration with the CBN, reveal that 462 million transactions valued at N29trn were recorded on electronic payment channels in Q4 2017.
As expected, ATM transactions dominated with a volume of 240 million. Internet subscriptions directly correlated with electronic transactions stood at 98 million in December 2017, according to the Nigerian Communications Commission. This translates into a penetration of 53%.
Based on data from the Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System (NIBSS), total active bank accounts as at February 2017 stood at 67 million, pointing to 36% exposure (of the country’s population) to electronic payment transactions. Financial inclusion is still far from its optimal level.
The volume of point-of-sale (PoS) transactions shows the impact of the cashless policy on the economy. The NBS data show that 47 million PoS transactions were recorded in Q4 2017, representing increases of 20% q/q and 113% y/y.
Meanwhile, mobile payments recorded 12 million transactions valued at N307bn (US$1bn) in Q4. The value of transactions grew by just 30% y/y and accounted for only 1.1% of total electronic transactions.
Mobile banking remains hugely untapped. Indeed, better synergy between telecommunication operators and banks would boost e-transactions. Kenya is the leader in this field through M-Pesa and other platforms. Ghana is worth a mention, too: its central bank has reported total mobile transactions in 2017 (12 months) of GHS156bn (US$35.9bn), compared with KES4.6trn (US$45.3bn) for the 12 months to June 2017.

Bomber Its “bumper” folks , haha .
Men In Black This refers to the police , the popo , the Nigerian Police Force .
Agbero This word doesnt really mean something abusive , it can be translated as “Carrier of people /carrier of crowd” .But the madness of the agberos has made the word abusive. So it means conductors, tax collectors , infact any tout and their species .
Alaye From my little understanding of Yoruba , alaye means “the living” “alive” “lively” ,but the way its used is similar to the way Americans call their friends “nigga” or “brah” or “bro” .
Gberaa It means “move” or “move fast” or “drive” .
Figo Danfo slang for 500 Naira .I am still confused how they coined this name .
Shandi/Muri Danfo slang for 20 Naira . Muri-> Muritala Mohammed on the note
Waso/Wazo Danfo slang for 50 Naira .Coined from two out of the three major ethnic group’s intepretation of “come” .
Wa= Yoruba
Zo=Hausa
Faiba/Fiber Danfo slang for 10 Naira
Cut Your Hand This one cracks me up every time .It means “turn the steering wheel” .

I understand all these and you repeated everything I've been saying MrMcJay: Okay. I think you need to understand something.
In Law, there's something called legal personality. Zenith Bank, Zenith Insurance, Zenith Pensions, Zenith Capital, Civic Properties Ltd are all separate legal entities with legal personalities distinct from each other. Each one has the ability to own assets, liabilities, declare losses and profits independent of each other. In the eyes of the law, they're separate legal personalities different from each other.
Hence, the properties owned by Zenith Insurance would reflect in its asset base and not that of Zenith Bank or Zenith Capital.
What could have happened is that Jim Ovia (as an independent legal entity) took a loan from Zenith Bank to finance he building of Civic Towers. Upon completion, he took in Zenith Bank, Zenith Capital, Zenith Pensions, Deloitte, etc as tenants all paying rent to him while he finances his loan obligations to Zenith Bank. The loan to Jim is an asset to Zenith Bank, Civic Towers is an asset to Jim, while the loan is his liability to the bank.
The Civic Towers you're talking about is an asset which would not reflect in the asset base of Zenith Bank even if they both are owned by the same person.
As for Ecobank, they got incompetent lawyers and auditors who did a shoddy job before buying Oceanic. I strongly suspect they were aware but were either paid or threatened by the powers that be to keep shut. If the information they got leaked out, the deal would collapse and no subsequent investor would touch Ecobank with a long stick.
I don't know if I explained it enough. |

You think the Chairmen would use their real name? All na fronting. Zenith Pensions is a tenant in Civic Center Towers Lekki. You mean Oga will just give them space for free? Or you think all their branches on Ajose were bought by Zenith Bank? Till date ECOBank is unable to annex all branches of former Oceanic Bank because they belong to Madam Naija banking sector stinks and that's why most of them can't co-locate with other businesses to save them the cost of opening new branches MrMcJay: Are you sure about this?
I actually have been involved in several real estate transactions involving several banks and I've never seen transfer documents bearing the names of the Chairmen or owners.
Also, if you know lawyers involved in legal audit of banks every year, they'll tell you that what you posted is an exception rather than the norm. |

They don't buy but rather go into long lease with the owners usually the bank chairmen or owners (eg former Oceanic Bank, Zenith Bank, UBA etc all do it). Most Nigerian bank buildings are owned by the bank owners and rented out to the bank they own MrMcJay: Picture 1 is Golden Plaza in Falomo in Ikoyi. Picture 3 is in Victoria Island off Akin Adesola. The other 2 pictures aren't MTN headquarters.
FYI, Golden Plaza doesn't belong to MTN, they are tenants there. MTN is such an irresponsible company that 16 years, 5 months and 7 days after it came into Nigeria, the headquarters is still in a rented Plaza.
MTN comes into Nigeria, makes billions of dollars here, moves it out of Nigeria through Stanbic and our National Assembly lawmakers are afraid of clamping down on this economic robbery.
The problem is that when MTN hires sound lawyers to defend them, is it people in the National Assembly like Dino Melaye that would reply MTN? Dino that can't even write a single paragraph without falling into grammatical epilepsy. |
