Politics › Re: NIA DG, Ahmed Rufai, A Misfit, National Security Threat - NIA Directors by bigtt76(f): 9:22am On Feb 01, 2018
The man has worked with NIA for how many years and was never a mis-fit then until he was appointed DG? Are these people serious? A low ranking officer is of more risk than the DG. The low ranking officers do most of the footwork and are in a better position to sabotage the country than a DG would.

He should not hesitate in retiring all those fools complaining. Where were they when Boko Haram started or is it above or beneath their intelligence nostrils? angry angry angry angry

awakeupcall4all:
Some directors in the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) have raised an alarm over recent developments in the agency, particularly the change in leadership. The directors, in a letter to the House of Representatives Committee on Security and National Intelligence, called for an urgent intervention to stop the change in the agency 's leadership from having severe consequences on the country's security apparatus. They are demanding the removal of the newly appointed Director-General of the agency, Mr. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
Dated January 29 and co-signed by EO Olanrewaju, Nelson Obiakor and Ahmed Sarki ( not real names) on behalf of a group named Concerned Directors of NIA, the letter said the appointment of Mr. Abubakar is a threat to cohesion in the agency. According to the letter, Mr. Abubakar is the first head of the agency to be appointed from a rank below that of a director.

"Since its inception 32 years ago , nobody below the rank of a director has been appointed as its head. This explains why we regard the recent appointment of Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, a man who is on record to have failed to merit elevation to the rank of director and who has retired from service to come and preside over people who are not only his seniors in rank but who fit into the order of precedence," said the letter.

The disaffected directors argued that Mr Abubakar’s appointment as DG NIA will set a dangerous precedence.

"While we are aware that part of the new DG’s agenda is to retire those of us who are his seniors, as it is more likely that he may not want to work with us, it is evident that he will pursue a vendetta mission, which he has already indicated in his very first address to us.He is at liberty to go ahead with what we know he intends to do, but we wish to point out the underlying dangers in a massive purge of senior officers of the agency, to the effect that, not only will the millions of dollars spent on training and retraining us be lost, we are also custodians of the country’s intelligence dossiers, and may decide to use same for mischief," said the disenchanted directors.

They warned that the country’s already brittle security situation may become worse if they are shabbily treated by the new DG NIA. They also said if Mr. Abubakar is unable to work with those of them still in service and with better credentials, the Presidency should appoint a serving director, who understands the dynamics of the agency in his place.

"Having failed promotion examinations to the directorship rank, which we can attest to and make bold to state that it amounts to administrative suicide to allow a practical misfit take over the agency and later mortgage same to his paymasters, who have ulterior motives," said the directors.

They requested the House to investigate Mr. Abubakar's nationality.

"Since the government, itself admitted that Mr Abubakar was born and bred in Chad, while on the other hand, he claims to have been born in Nigeria; at least going by his the records and his CV, suffice it to point out that there is an obvious contradiction. We call upon this honorable body to thoroughly look into this seeming discrepancy," they requested.

They stated that the agency's rules require that any prospective appointee into such strategic position must be vetted from the cradle.

"It is an incontrovertible fact that Mr. Abubakar’s links with Chad, a country with likely rival interest with Nigeria, makes him suspect as an espionage and not fit to head the country’s elite intelligence agency.

"It is necessary for us to alert that, the issue of likely doubtful loyalty is a serious issue in intelligence corridors. Where a person’s nationality or that of his spouse becomes unclear, a thorough vetting from the cradle become even more demanding.

In this case, it is very dangerous that the vetting process has been compromised, which is an ominous danger to the nation’s security," argued the directors.

The equally requested the House Committee to investigate the activities of the Mr. Babagana Kingibe-led Presidential Review Panel as the relate to Mr. Abubakar's appointment.

"It is very curious that paragraph 4(1) of the recommendations of the Kingibe panel prescribes that a serving director should be picked as the Director-General, only for the same characters that sat in judgement over the need to reorganize the NIA, turning around to violate their own recommendations, by picking one of them to contemptuously assume duty as head of the NIA," the directors said.

They alleged that it was very clear from the start that the Presidential Review Panel was inaugurated purposely to protect the former DG, Mr. Ayo Oke, who has repeatedly threatened to expose beneficiaries of his time in office if there is an attempt to disgrace him. The angry directors further alleged that the motive is to ensure that the remaining $44 million of the NIA intervention fund is kept within the reach of the cabal.

"The failure of the immediate past Acting DG, Muhammed Dauda, to allow them access to the money may be the reason for his removal," they reasoned.

The Concerned Directors also disclosed that the Clandestine Operations Unit of the NIA has been ordered to manufacture and clone documents that could be used to defend Mr. Abubakar against the legitimacy crisis he is facing.

Romance › Re: Victor Ibeh: "My Son Had His 1st Kiss, Friends Told Him To Sleep With A Virgin" by bigtt76(f): 5:59am On Feb 01, 2018
Is this the jew boy? grin

BoneBlogger:
A Nigerian relationship counselor and writer has revealed what his son was told by his friends after having his first kiss. According to Victor Ibeh, his son was told to sleep with the virgin girl whom he kissed in order to "own her permanently".

Victor also narrated his similar experience at the university some years back as he deflowered a virgin who is now happily married to another man.

Victor narrated his story on Facebook. Read below;

My son had his first kiss yesterday. After that experience, he called to tell me. He was so elated about the experience that he was literally jumping out of his skin in excitement. After the narration, he told me that his friends asked him to have sex with her, because she is still a Virgin, so that he can own her permanently. Emphasis on “own her permanently”.

I had to ask him to repeat himself and he did. So, I excused myself to get some beer, because I wasn’t “inner-standing” what he was trying to say.

After taking a sip of beer, my mind became active to process what he said.

“You mean you want to Bleep your girlfriend and deflower her, so that you can own her, who taught you that?”

“I love her so much and I don’t want to lose her. My friends said that a girl can never leave the man that deflowered her.”

“Have you taken time to find out if she wants to remain with you forever? Oh! You are just concerned about your own selfish interest and you call that love. What if she comes up tomorrow to says that her values have changed, will you keep her against her will?”

“I’m sorry dad. That’s what my friends told me. I thought they were right.”

“No, Son. They are wrong. This is why you shouldn’t learn sex education from your peers. They will ruin you with their ineptitude and foolishness.”

(Takes another sip of beer)

When I was in the Uni I had this same experience with a girl I loved. My friend told me the same thing. Unfortunately, I didn’t have someone to give me healthy counsel. I deflowered her and she happened to be the only virgin I have ever had in my life. Somehow I don’t just dig virgins. It is personal.

The sex at that time seemed like it held her bound to me, but at the fullness of time when reality hit us, she moved on. Today she is happily married to another guy.

Ridiculous is the fact that I actually believed that a piece of flesh called hymen would buy me a woman’s romantic loyalty. Who does that?

It wasn’t just that I was foolish, it also reveals how lowly we regard female folks.

Trying to use “love spell” on people or doing anything to enslave them to us is not love. That’s why I don’t call it “love spell”. I call it enslavement spell. Anything you do and take away another person’s power of choice is never motivated by love. As an individual, if I feel you are expressly or subtly taking away my power of choice, I will fight back. Whatever love I have for you can turn into hate in a blink.

I hear some people spell others into marriage. They are mad. Really mad. Even if you use gifts to enslave people, you are evil. The power of choice is a fundamental need of humans.

By the way, adults who also believe in Okafor’s law are morons. They are not better than this my 19 year old son who doesn’t know how to wash his back properly while bathing. The fact that an emotionally broken woman allows you to have sex with her every time you knock, isn’t something to brag about. An emotionally broken woman is almost like a lunatic on the street. How does one brag with the fact that he slept with a lunatic who isn’t in the best of her mind?

Who even said women don’t find their way back into the lives of men they have bleeped before. Who are these married men who keep going back to Bleep their exes. Shebi Nkechi’s law does not affect them?

Hymen doesn’t buy you a woman’s loyalty. Relationship thrives on values. If a person’s romantic values are not guaranteed in a relationship, don’t expect him/her to stick.

(Continues drinking his beer)

Roads rehabilitation gulps N480m
As Anambra declares work-free day for funeral
Tony Okafor, Awka

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is committed to giving a former Vice President, late Dr. Alex Ekwueme, a befitting burial.

Ngige spoke on Sunday at Ekwueme’s hometown in Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State after inspecting facilities for the burial of the late VP.

He said Buhari had committed about N1bn on Ekwueme from the day the Federal Government took over his medical bills to date.

While saying that road rehabilitation alone in Anambra State and neighbouring communities of Imo and Abia states in preparation for Ekwueme’s burial had gulped about N480m, Ngige said Federal Government was not leaving anything to chances in ensuring that the Ekwueme family enjoys the role their late patriarch played in building a better Nigeria

He said, “You know that I belong to the Ekwueme family; I’m part of that family.

“I’m in various committees and subcommittees for the burial of this great statesman. I can tell you authoritatively that Mr President (Buhari) is committed and passionate in ensuring a befitting burial for Ekwueme.

“If he doesn’t come for the burial himself, I’m sure the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, will be here for the burial as a matter of right.

“So, I’m here to inspect the facilities in preparation for his burial; and I can tell you that I’m satisfied with the progress of work.

“The Federal Government is doing rehabilitation works on Amawbia/Ekwulobia road, up to Uga and Akokwa in Imo State.

“We’re also doing road rehabilitation on Oko/Umunze road up to Ibinta in Abia State.

“I know the cost of all this, not less than N480m.

“The Federal Government is building the mausoleum, which will contain a modern library and other facilities and I also know the cost of that too.

“And remember that the Federal Government took up all the medical bills of flying him abroad and bringing him back to Nigeria from London upon his death.

“The cost of hiring an air ambulance is not a joke. So, Buhari has honoured this Igbo son in all ramifications.

“He has committed not less than a billion naira in this project because he is passionate about it,” Ngige stated.

The Minister added that the Federal Government was considering naming a national monument after Ekwueme to immortalise him.

Similarly, the Anambra State Government has commenced works on internal roads in Oko and environs, preparatory for the burial.

Briefing reporters, a Senior Special Adviser to Governor Willie Obiano on Inter-Party matters, Chief Ben Obi, said a virgin four-kilometre road had been created in the area for easy movement during the funeral.

He said parking bays had been created in about six points, where shuttles would be provided to ferry mourners to the funeral venue, while St Mary’s Catholic Church, Oko, playground would serve as a helipad for the Vice President’s visit.

Meanwhile, the Anambra State Government has declared Thursday this week as a work-free day.

In a public service announcement by the Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, all markets and businesses in the state would be closed on that day.

The announcement read in part, “As part of the funeral arrangements for the late Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme (GCON), Anambra State Government hereby announces that … Thursday, February 1st, 2018 is work-free day in Anambra State.

“All markets and businesses will be closed on that day to enable Ndi Anambra, friends, associates and well wishers to pay our last respect to the late Vice President.

“All those attending the commendation ceremony, including various social, cultural, religious, political, professional, educational, market men and women, and all other groups are to be seated by 10am prompt.”

Born October 21,1932, Ekwueme died on Sunday 19th November 2017 at a London hospital

He served as first elected Vice President of Nigeria from 1979 to 1983 under a former President, Shehu Shagari.

Na it shouldn't be difficult cos Remita will deduct from other payments and net off the balance before remitting to TSA on behalf of the school.

Shukusheka:
Oh thanks, the point I wanted to make is that reversing that payment won't be as easy as the guy made it look, the school would still need to give permission before the amount is reversed from their account. For him to get his money on time, he will need to put pressure on everyone; the bank, Remita, the school. Lest they use internal bureaucracy to delay the refund.
Education › Re: Pls Help Me out am Seriously In a Hot Soup by bigtt76(f): 7:08pm On Jan 28, 2018
The bank has no business with the school, rather the bank would contact Interswitch (Card Processor to Remita) and in turn Remita contacts the school since they signed up to Remita. Once Remita approves he gets his partial refund.

Shukusheka:
Reversal of transactions by the bank isn't as easy as you think. The bank would still need to contact the school requesting for permission to reverse the money.
Education › Re: Pls Help Me out am Seriously In a Hot Soup by bigtt76(f): 7:05pm On Jan 28, 2018
All payments made through Remita goes straight into the TSA account and to withdraw it has to go through the Federal Accountant General's office.

The best option as pointed by Jmao. Give the bank your payment details etc and request a refund. The bank will contact Interswitch (Card Processor) who provides service to Remita who are the custodian of the TSA to do the refund. It may take between 5-10 days. You need to prove your case to the bank before this is effected.
