Nokia XL is an MTK device

RobinHez:
I think ur reasons for choosing the phone is the brand "NOKIA" which has always been known for making beautiful and durable phones...

I can tell u, The Nokia XL doesn't fail in that department. It is very solid...

But people complain because it gets boring on the long run...cuz u get left behind in the Android market.

So if u ask me, like Bigtt76 said, Go for a Lumia in price range...or another good brand like samsung (I know u don't want any mtk device)

The XL is not totally bad...but u might get bored with it on the log run.

Phones › Re: Nokia XL?? by bigtt76(f): 11:32pm On Oct 31, 2015
Old versions of the apps would work for a while before it would stop as it can no longer be updated.

Computer applications used during the days of Windows 95 cannot be used on Windows 10 which is the latest and neither can Windows 10 applications be used on Windows 95.

Best you invest in a device that would serve you longer rather than temporarily.

I use Infinix Hot2 and can safely tell you it's worth it. Besides it's certified by Google as an officially supported device. I'm not a sales agent but I love telling people the truth forget the Nokia XL.

If you're bent on using a Nokia device with same design then go for the Nokia Lumia series running Windows at least they will be supported for long while.

Teeboy22:
ok, thanks, i just like the phone. The camera ,

well since Whatspp, instagram, skype, viber, bbm, & so can work on it..am Okay with that..

Or wah u think

i dnt really like dah infinix

i prefer samsung android or sony

but still de nokia on mi mind for now
Phones › Re: Nokia XL?? by bigtt76(f): 11:23pm On Oct 31, 2015
Seem you're new to Android devices?

The phone design is good and alluring no doubt but is grossly lacking.

Teeboy22:
exatly bro cool

i just like the phone... But wetyn b dis Android Jelly Bean ishh...
Phones › Re: Nokia XL?? by bigtt76(f): 11:21pm On Oct 31, 2015
This is coming from my personal experience with the phone.

It has no Google Play Store to start with except you root and flash Google Play Apps (Gapps) on to it. You have to make do with Nokia Store which has limited android apps.

Currently not supported by Nokia or Microsoft which means it's stacked on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 which means several apps may not work with it without backward compatibility in place.

Screen resolution is poor and pixelated meaning not to sharp to the eyes.

Has low memory capacity of 8GB and 512MB RAM

For that 25k you can get an Infinix Hot2 with better memory and RAM (16gb and 2gb), latest Android OS and better screen resolution.

Phones with specs mentioned above goes for at least 20k or even less.

Except you want the Nokia XL for other purpose, I would not advise my enemies to buy same for less.

Teeboy22:
pls i need more explanation on this. I dnt understand huh

Phones › Re: Nokia XL?? by bigtt76(f): 10:50pm On Oct 31, 2015
That phone is no longer supported by Nokia or Microsoft. Buying it would get you stacked on Android Jelly Bean. Go for other brand with updates to Lollipop the least and are cheaper.

Exactly! They forget I'm not binded in contract with CBN. The terms and conditions governing my account was with the banks and if the rules have changed, have the banks communicated same to their customers?

Have the customers been given a new terms and conditions to be executed?

Sad they so-called learned bankers are dumbs. Tuesday will see the courts filled up with law suits against them all.

Diamond Bank was sending me emails stating 1st October 2015 as their own deadline, when I sent an email copying all concerned, they stopped bothering me. Waiting for them to shut my account they will see hell.

Let them try it and they will be visited with law suits on Tuesday morning.

Useless people without insight into how these things should work instead making it difficult for everyone.

How can you capture people's details electronically without making provisions for correcting errors? Lots of people including myself have wrongly captured data requiring correction without which it cannot be linked to other banks.

I've complained severallyseverally, sent emails to no avail. Waiting patiently for my account to be deactivated and I will sue them all for billions then they will stop all these foolish behaviors.

Crime › Re: Hardship, Wickedness Of Neighbours Pushed Me Into Robbery, Says Suspect (photo) by bigtt76(f): 9:30pm On Oct 31, 2015
Truth is people no longer want to work and earn a living. They seem to be satisfied exploiting the scriptures which urge people to give in order to receive blessings.

Coming out of Supermarkets or ATM galleries these days, you see people standing by begging and it makes you wonder they're not disabled in anyway so why are they begging?

People here may want to bash me for this but it's the truth.

This evening I saw a young man of about 25 years gesticulating with hand to mouth to motorists in Lekki asking for money for food and I'm like bad as e bad, there are construction sites around that area with lots of these boys working day and night to earn a living and here's one begging?

I tell you it's becoming rampant and it's not good because it now deprives the needy genuinely in need.

Thank you for this. When you talk people are quick to rain insults on you.

The fact that it's a battery and produces electric energy doesn't mean it can power all electrical devices.

A stove produces heat in order to cook food, I wonder what heating element was deployed on the stove that is powered by dry cells as tiger battery.

Has anyone wondered why such batteries cannot be used to kick-start a vehicle assuming they are connected in series to give 12v (same voltage as a car battery? Like say na car battery de guy use I for understand sef grin

The secret in it all is the current. Once the current a battery produces is not strong enough, it cannot do any better than using a candle to cook.

BTW like I always say, with the numerous mobile phones around, not a single photograph of the pots content shown boiling? Asking for video would be asking for too much. grin nor bi only battery stove we go see

Denn:
Stop acting itk....

Read the attached screen shot and tell me how a change in voltage at the expense on current will cook stubborn beans with tiger battery
