Daily withdraw limit is $300 per account so pooling all the funds won't work. Time they start embracing online stores ![]() Demmocrats: |
Hmm so all oloshos go wear black arm abi na leg bands? Or hold one minute silence before the show? Nairaland sef ar take all kain news on the FP |
Choi .....how can one person travel with one hundred ATM cards and expect NDLEA or Customs to start applauding you? Especially not bearing the carrier's name (even bearing your name sef). I understand the need to use same to withdraw abroad more than the daily $300 but then it could belong to unsuspecting Bank account owners whose accounts are being drawn illegally. |

Aero seem the cheapest from the lot including Arik Air and Med-View. I terms of accommodation, there are plenty good ones your decision hold be guided by your mission in Ghana. Always chose a hotel or accommodation closest to your destination while in Ghana becos traffic hold up there is real and taxi fares are on the high side. All the best and enjoy your stay. nairalandist: |

The problem is not the size or carbon emissions it is rather how the waste would be managed effectively without causing harm to the people. Safety of the reactor itself needs to be ensured. In this times of insurgency it looks more gloomy having such located here. |
Very true! |
Unfortunately that best doesn't seem enough or visible. The menace is on the increase and daring daily. These guys are not faceless, they live amongst you. The same medium or media deployed in the past that was able to unify the decisions to attack and maim non-muslims should be deployed against these people. The North should show more commitment towards eradicating hem completely. For once set aside religious sentiments. abduljabbar4: |
Over the years, we've seen Northern Nigeria religious and fanatical citizens show their unflinching support against any perceived aggression to their beliefs. If it's not a case of a Christian butcher selling the forbidden pork to an unsuspecting moslem buyer, it is the near violent demonstration leading to the relocation of the Miss World beauty pageant from Abuja becos of its conflict with the Ramadan period. Events outside Nigeria seen by the Northern Nigeria moslems as being contrary to the preaching of the Holy prophet, had seen them reacting. We all saw the first cartoon and lately the case of Je suis Charlie as one of the numerous catalysts needed to make their voices heard. How can I forget the 2011 post election violence which saw innocent NYSC Members killed for serving their beloved country. During the wake of the Boko Haram crisis, we've been told their teaching does not portray Islamic teachings which many of us are made to believe. One thing I and many others are yet to understand is why haven't there been any of the usual uprising against these groups going against their religious teachings? ![]() Who knows, maybe an uprising by the Northern Moslems would be the much needed game changer required to eradicate this menace. We've seen many northerners migrate to the southern part of the country in search of peace (hitherto, the southerners had been forced to do the same). Why are you guys still silent? All yeee Northern stand up against Boko Haram the same way you've all united as one to fight against the enemies of your religion. Except of course you're telling us killings in thousands of your own people is most welcomed by these criminals ![]() |

Let me see how they will earn that 40% increase when they don't supply power. We've been without steady electricity more than a week now. Each time I call to inquire why, they will supply 3 hours before we get for at least 20 hours per day albeit intermittently.Useless peopo. |
What's wrong with people? It's her religious upbringing to accept the husband's decision to take a second wife so why would she be hiding her pains or not happy over it? Please let her be! |

Naaa. Staff was genuinely at the bank who got my details for illegal use. erekoshe: |
Most times the fault is from the card holders. For example 1. OP instead of posting the first 6 and last 4 digits of card rather decided to bloat out the last 4 digits alone forgetting that it would be easier for some cyber rogue to figure that out. Mind you most Nigerian banks thesedays replicate the PAN on card expiration and only updates the expiration dates. 2. OP's laptop has numerous pirated stuff or has visited pirate sites in the past in search of free movie downloads. Those movie sites though free are costly in the aftermath. Let me give you an example here, you go eat in a restaurant somewhere in Europe or America, you make payment with your card for $50 but it was never deducted from your account as expected even for months. Then all of a sudden you started getting alerts on your account more this later despite having not used the card in recent times and still the $50 payment had not reflected. What has happened here is that your card details was harvested for its value and not for payment of services rendered. Same thing happens when you download the latest movies from those sites, keyloggers are installed on your browser to store your card details and send to the movie site owners for future use whenever you go online shopping. 3. Not discounting our local banks staff though. Recently I got a call from my bank from a staff I never knew telling me I need to update my account details. An account I've done my BVN linkage. Staff said my account was being upgraded and I need to fill out a form else I can't access my funds. I tried as much as I could to get to the nearest bank branch and did as directed but staff still insisted I fill out an account opening form. I crase for am dat day after I discovered my funds were being moved to a suspense account and back again. He let me be and there's been peace since then. Staff wanted to use my funds to meet his target I guess and tried getting me open a fresh account. It is staff like this that clone people's cards or create cards for accounts without one. Always have a number tied to the account for alerts. 4. Using your EMV chip based cards in the US or elsewhere is not safe. In fact Nigeria's card based infrastructure is more upto date compared to the US and others still using Magstripe technology. Reason being that it's too expensive for them to carry out the much needed infrastructral changes to migrate the cards. Therefore it's easier for some bar attendants to clone your cards for other use. |
I've received several mentions over my earlier comment on this issue. It baffles me the way people think shaaa and are quick to start insulting or judging ones reasoning without themselves having time to reason the reason behind the comment ![]() Let me state this that I'm not insensitive to the issue at hand or believe the doctors should be treated any worse than reported but the thing is that we are seeing a one-sided version. If I may ask, are the patients at the hospital treated any better? I doubt it ![]() The genesis of this poor facility is no doubt related to the excessive clamoring of better remuneration by the professionals in the country today at the detriment of the provision of good facilities. Lecturers, doctors, nurses etc wants to be well recuperated which in itself is well deserved but what about the object of the well recuperated professionals? The students, the patients, the general citizens etc? Are they well taken care off? I bet you if the OP were to present us with a clear picture of the wards you will find even worse yet he's concerned about his and other resident doctors well being for the night shift. Who deserves better bargain? The doctors or the patients? When you spend more trying to renumerate professionals with little left to upgrade facilities then there lies the real problem. |
