My thoughts really looking at your pix down there. I was opportune passing along the Admiralty Way going towards Buka Hut when this started. It was just like someone burning bush and on closer look saw thick black smoke blurting out. My thoughts were that a car was on fire. On my way back it was still the same and I saw people packing things out of the store with people snapping away. I tried calling 112 the Lagos State Emergency Number twice and it went into Voicemail <no response after the initial greetings from the IVR machine> luckily going towards the Ikoyi Link Bridge I noticed a Fire Vehicle 'strolling' towards the direction ....smallish looking van shaa only for me to see photographs of the store in huge flames. One would have thought a big supermarket with sponsorship in terms of financial facilities from banks such as GTB and StanbicIBTC would have been world-class enough to be equipped with fire fighting facilities <another big hotel Dover is next door> unfortunately that is not the case alas it was just a play ground for the Lekki up and coming always looking forward to exhibiting their childish behavior on Hoverboard inside the store woodcook: I am sure there is no wall reel in the building.
I think it high time we start taking safety seriously in Nigeria. If only our insurance companies could lobby our legislators to pass a law that makes it criminal for one to own a house without all the necessary safety features('first-responds' before the arrival of experts). Not only are the owner of such houses be charged, but the person that approves such building plan.
In a situation where there are such amenities in the building, there should be a department responsible for bi-annual check to ensure that such amenities are up to standard and in good condition. Should there be any incident and a prove that a safety feature was not in working condition as at the time of the incident, both the owner of the house and the government agent that last cleared such building as safe should be prosecuted. |

Is CBN trying to say that only 21 million Nigerians/Residents/Diaspora own accounts with the banks? Assuming each 36 states of the Federation including Abuja has 1 million workers (at least most states say they spend 90% of Federations Allocation on Staff salaries) that translates to 36 Million Nigerians. We've not added Federal Government civil workers, military etc. These categories should be not less than 5 Million. What about Nigerians working in the private sectors? Lets say about 2 million Nigerians/expatriates Business men should amount to about 3 Million Schools, Organization accounts etc not less than 2 million Summing all these together we should be getting at least 48 Million potential bank accounts meaning if everyone has at least 2 accounts that should be not less than 98 million bank accounts in the country and CBN is saying 21 Million BVN accredited accounts is pas mark? we still have a long way to go. Until we are able to get a good statistics database in this country we will still be where we are |

Is this in the Nigerian Constitution too? If yes then that constitution is crap shaaaa cathodekazim: Group sues Buhari, seeks to halt ministers’ inauguration
Nigerian youths under the aegis of Youth Concerns Realisation Initiative have filed a suit seeking to stop President Muhammadu Buhari from inaugurating the 36 recently-cleared ministers.
The members of the group are protesting against the non-inclusion of youths among the ministers-designate.
Media officer of the initiative, Ms. Blessing Luka, who spoke on behalf of the group at a press briefing in Abuja, on Monday, said it was now clear that the administration has no intention of giving Nigerian youths a chance.
She expressed regret that politicians across party lines had formed the habit of using youths during elections and dumping them afterwards.
She said, “We at YCRI have filed an action in suit No FHC/ABJ/773/2015. We expected to see youths among the President’s 36 nominees sent to the Senate but we were disappointed to see no youth in the list.
“For this reason, we have gone to court to ask for an injunction to restrain the President from inaugurating them until they give the youths a sense of belonging.
“This matter was filed on Friday October 30, 2015. What we are simply asking is that they (ministers-designate) should not be inaugurated or assigned portfolios.”
Luka stressed that it would be a total disservice to the nation for youths who formed the bulk of Nigeria’s population to be left out of the decision-making process.
According to her, Nigerians youths had restrained themselves from resorting to self-help, hence their decision to seek legal redress.

Try and be objective in what you're advising one to do when he comes back to NL and starts ranting or requesting for assistance it all comes back to you. RobinHez: No!

Yes not all Android devices receives updates and NO Android is not Android as you mentioned. There is a reason for moving up in versions ranging from security to performance. I wonder why I'm even bothering myself about it all. Teeboy22 you are at liberty to buy whatever your heart directs you to do. All I gave you here is from my own personal experience. I also had no rest the first time I saw the phone and not until I bought it and tweaked the he'll out of it before I realized it was not worth it. Thank God it was stolen and I finally found peace with first Tecno Phantom Pad II (G9), Innjoo Fire and lately Infinix Hot2. Note all devices are still working fine. So my dear, satisfy your taste and urge. Have a lovely Sunday and happy new month. RobinHez: Lol..of course u'll be able to update!
Not all devices received the lollipop update...not to talk about receiving the Marshmallow update. Android Is Android ...
The only problem u' might encounter with apps is, if there's an update for an app, which is exclusively targeted at latest android os. |
