Nigeria judiciary and technicalities ...makes you wonder if spotting technicalities is now part of the legal studies in Nigeria. Its either a lawyer errs when filing a case on technicality or the opposition lawyer spots some in the judgement undecided

Na chicken or cowo or goat na hin God send give Muhammad or Abraham for quran and bible respectively? No bi Lamb?

myads890:
I just noticed this after eating meat yesterday. Most markets sale either goat, pork, cow but never ram and its not common to find a restaurant ram meat on the menu despite how tasty and filling the meat is.

Have you ever bought ram meat in pieces @ any market? If yes, where was that?

Nairaland General › Re: Theres Nothing Wrong In Eating Ileya Meat (its Wrong To Put It On Front Page) by bigtt76(f): 11:16am On Oct 05, 2014
Very true and I support this as always. What we put on the front page negatively impact on the getting tangible business prospects for Nairaland like other bloggers benefit from.

Nairaland as one advert professional desribed it, is just like a junk yard and no business corporate would want to be advertised through such platform no matter its traffic per second.

Mods need to wake up or Seun develop an algorithm to automate the front page postings based on sheer popularity, relevance using key words not capable or inciting religious or tribal bigotry, or fake unverified news or articles.

We also need to stop all those 'click here for more links' its distracting. There should be a script to read off thise links and display a preview of the content to enable users decided whether they want to continue or not. Facebook has such in place.

I could go on and on ....maybe Nairaland should have her own National Conference to iron out all these issues.

Remember, Nairaland is just a mini Nigeria and if we cannot get it right on the cyber representation of the country, then we can't get it right on the physical.
Politics › Re: More Than Half Of Nigerians Live On Less Than A Dollar Per Day: Fact Or Fiction by bigtt76(f): 10:20am On Oct 03, 2014
The average Nigerian on the street do not make indomie noodles themselves. They rely on the services of Mai-Shai to make ends meet. At the mai-shai joint, a pack of prepared indomie goes for N80 with the option of fried egg at N50 each makes an average plate at N130.

Mamaput joints operate on the Eat-As-Your-Pocket-Dictates (EAYPD) basis so no fixed amount though the threshold is from N100.

So if $1 = N164 then UN or who ever is right to say we live on less than $1. I doubt if many do breakfast, lunch time is mostly observed drinking pure water as they normally chase after customers.

NOTE: Living on $1 a day does not necessarily mean that person makes just a dollar a day but rather thats the amount he can afford to use in feeding while planning towards other commitments.

For example, a cobbler (mobile shoe shiner with the box) cannot be said to make only $1 a day when they charge you like N50 to N100 just to polish your shoes, repairs goes high depending on the level of work done. If he makes N500 a day, he cannot afford to blow all on feeding alone, he also saves a little to replenish supplies as well as travel back home from location to engage in farming activities when farming time approaches.

Concluding, this is not fiction but fact though it depends largely on the status of the surveyed sample undecided
Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan Highest-paid Political Figure In The World by bigtt76(f): 9:47am On Oct 03, 2014
Hahaha

daryoor: Goodluck Jonathan led People With Money ’s
annual list of the “100 highest paid political
figures” released on Thursday.
It's been a rough year for the political figure, but
at least he has his millions of dollars to ease the
pain. 56-year-old Goodluck Jonathan has taken
the No. 1 spot on People With Money ’s top 10
highest-paid political figures for 2014 with an
estimated $82 million in combined earnings.

in compiling this yearly list, the magazine
considers factors such as upfront pay, profit
participation, residuals, endorsements and
advertising work.
The Nigerian political figure has an estimated net
worth of $245 million. He owes his fortune to
smart stock investments, substantial property
holdings, lucrative endorsement deals with
CoverGirl cosmetics. He also owns several
restaurants (the “ Fat Jonathan Burger ” chain) in
Abuja, a Football Team (the “Otueke Angels”), has
launched his own brand of Vodka (Pure
Wonderjonathan - Nigeria ), and is tackling the
juniors market with a top-selling perfume (With
Love from Goodluck
) and a fashion line called
“ Goodluck Jonathan Seduction ”.
The ranking is significant for many Goodluck fans,
who have been waiting for his triumphant return
to the glory days for what seems like a lifetime.

Im not married yet but I just got outta a relationship some long while back cos my ex couldn't bring out the best in me.
