juman: Hmmmm.IBB's generation didnt start it. The blame game is convenient, but its just not true. Is our generation any better? The few that have gotten into power, have you seen how shamelessly they looted. Jand educated BankOle comes to mind among others |
its (almost) funny to me how someone will troll a thread with abuses unceasingly, and then when called out on it, get defensive. I think the mods are getting too heavy handed, but if I were in their shoes, what would I do different? Why cant we be proud of a true Nigerian forum for once and not try to sh** (abeg make una no ban me for one word o... lol) all over it. |
ekt_bear: LETS GO HEATThe Pacers will counter punch. Hibbert being on the bench has helped the the heat - he will likely adjust in the second half |
A-40:The dinosaur goes home . Solid career with one 'ship. Lucky for him there was no twitter etc back when he had domestic violence issues... people are much less forgiving these days, plus all the twitter ish |
JeSoul: Honestly I don't even know why the NBA operates like a communist organization. Cannot say this, cannot critisize that, cannot wear this, cannot do that. Abegi jor *hiss* David Stern should retire to China and let this league evolve. Take cues from the NFL...they run a tight ship without it seeming overbearing. There have been grumblings over the seasons that the league being majority black makes Stern believe he can humiliate players. NFL is more balanced. Its one of the reasons I like Dwade - he almost whooped Stern's @ss in one meeting when Stern was talking down to players I don't think so mehn. There was this possession call in game 5 (if I get time I'll go find it on youtube). It clearly went off Lebron underneath the Pacers rim. Rather than look at the replay as the Pacers were protesting they awarded the call to Miami. Ensuing play Lebron scores a 2pter. Pacers get it back, lose it. Ray Allen comes back and scores a 3pter. Time out pacers. Just like that, one call results in a 5pt swing in Miami's favor.Speaking of the Celtics, they do have one more run in them if Rondo comes back healthy - but it will be futile. I forsee a Garnett injury should he try to log significant minutes next season. And I know Melo will be waiting again |
JeSoul: Don't mind them jare. After the fact. The Pacers could've won the series by now if not for nonsense officiating...I've never been one to entertain talks of conspiracy but honestly...some of the blatantly bad calls have truly been amazing. The calls have been pretty decent and bad calls have gone both ways. I havent seen any blatant, game changing ones all series except maybe against the heat in game 3. Even those calls are credible. If Wade didnt take every other game off, the Heat would have won by now. Now they have to play a younger Pacers team with nothing to lose. I hope Wade breaks a leg and doesnt play ![]() |
Hibbert fined 75K for "no homo" phrase. Na wa o... I think this will impact his game a bit come Monday. Anyhow I see Miami losing this game |
uk appears to have a more insidious type of racism. |
you keep posting a video every week to keep this yamayama thread alive. People who are obsessed with other people's sexuality usually turn out to have their own issues.. |
I think in a tightly contested game from start to finish (no team jumps up by 10 pts early), Miami still wins out. The Pacers frontcourt can match the Heat, but I'm not sure their guards can play consistently enough to win 2 out of 3. Make we see na... |
A-40:True talk... then again I never really warmed up to the Ron Jeremy lookalike of a coach. Gundy has a way of whittling down your nerves over and over and over and .... |
^Agreed. In fact, they deserve this series. I cant count the number of times I saw Wade try to pretend like he was playing hard and just ease his way through the game. Other than Haslem and Mario, the Heat are bored. I expect a staff meeting by Riley tonight...Wade is gonna get flogged |
jidegirl12: Beg God to free you this time and sin no more cos you sound like a good poster.and yet when they grow and start ripping people's heads off, you act surprised. |
babyosisi: Sad oThe local black population is probably chuckling. Africans look down on the local blacks, thinking they are are better off. They forget that they will one day have children, and those children will be raised in the same environment that made local blacks angry and useless. Its annoying to realize how reactionary and utterly clueless Africans are, thinking that by reason of your own success, you will somehow, by magic save your kids from the environment you have chosen. Lets leave aside the crazy Michaels.....do you know how many countless kids of immigrant Nigerians, second generation and up are so useless it would have been better their parents lever left Nigeria to start with? If your child starts acting up, send him him home until he is past his teenage years. He will come back fully appreciative of the opportunity, instead of getting exposed to poisonous racism and self hate. |
obadiah777: CHEATING IS DIFFERENT WITH MEN AND WOMEN. SEE THE WOMAN IS A RECIEVER. SHE IS GETTING FOREIGN MATTER INTRODUCED INTO HER BODY. THE SPERMATOZOA IS A FOREIGN BODY AND IT CHANGES THE COMPOSITION OF HER AND THEN SHE CREATES ANTIGENS TO THE GUYS SPERMATOZOA SO THE GUY IS WITH HER FOREVER. EVERY GUY A WOMAN HAS EVER SLEPT WITH REMAINS WITH HER FOREVER. SHE HAS ANTIGENS OF ALL THE MEN SHE HAS EVER HAD SE-X WITH. THATS WHY A WOMAN LOOKS HAGGARD THE MORE PARTNERS SHE HAS. HER IMMUNE SYSTEM GETS JACKED UP FROM ALL THE ANTIGENS CREATED IN HER. EVERY MAN A WOMAN HAS YANSHED IS IN HER FOREVER. FOR MEN ITS DIFFERENT. FOR MEN IT IS MORE OF A SPIRITUAL WEAKENING. FOR WOMEN ITS BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUALspiritual weakening....lmao |
Hoodrat: You cannot destroy slavery by becoming a part of your Master’s cultural incubator." - John Henrik ClarkeHenrik Clarke will live forever through his words. |
JeSoul: Lol...wetin Popovich do you now? no love at all for the guy who'll end up one of the greatest coaches everEven I dont remember anymore lol. I know he threw the previous coach under the bus and took over because he knew Duncan was coming up in the draft |
Gaggi: The OP is very right here. It's actually not about being locally trained or not, it's just a cultural thing. We have a culture of being rude, not thorough, aggressive and generally poor attitude to work. You nailed it. You can usually tell a Nigerian that has just landed. Give it 6 months to a year, and a mellower version usually appears . I dont know that your prescription will work though...we are taught to be courteous and our cultures usually emphasize some level of communal respect already. As someone mentioned earlier, I'm not sure we fully realize the western damage done to our psyche. I personally think you need to live outside the country for a bit and observe. I see some "locally" trained dudes rolling their eyes already ![]() |
^I cant see why Hollins wouldnt be back. I dont think coaches have that kind of latitude. Tony Allen fits in Memphis, but I doubt he can resist the offers he will be getting. He could easily be the missing piece on esp. on defense for severalcontenders. Plus the fact that Grizz management traded away Rudy Gay, the teams only real shooter and a borderline superstar means Allen isnt going to be considering loyalty as much. Especially when you realize Gay could get his own shots, and would have forced the spurs to play legit D, rather than cheating on Zbo all the time. |
Kai! Naija man and grammar...once they start to use double barrelled words you know its over. ![]() In other news, can the Grizz become the first team to come back from a 3-0 deficit? God I hope so. I cant bear Pops ever grinning again. |
Comparing tmac's footwork to Lebron...sheesh. Tmac beat you off the dribble with deceptive speed and his length, not footwork. Of course you wouldnt know that... you are just rambling, hoping you sound like you know what you are talking about. I see you are one of those NBA "fans". You just make up stuff out of thin air and want others to prove you wrong. I dont have time for that BS. The "awful" footwork beat every defender in the post tonight. If that is awful, I'm cool with it - come back when you have some grown man objections to Lebron - I could name some legit ones for you, but honestly, it would be a waste. He is the Shaq of Wingman....Face palm moment..bro, stop exposing yourself. please. |
::DaddyBlack:::Scoring off your weaker hand with your back to the basket in the post as Lebron did today, is about as good as you can ever expect a big man to get. Any better, and you are looking at an Olajuwon type big man. On a sidenote, its hilarious the negative responses Lebron gets sometimes - its almost like some primitive man-fear of this guy's greatness, basketball-wise. If Lebron's footwork makes him a fool, what does that make you? |
Mynd_44: You actually expect the Gizz to win this series or put up a better fight? Not when the Spurs saw their mistakes from last season and raised not to allow it happen. I on't be surprised if the Gizz are swept sef.Im not really a Duncan fan, but he is a solid leader, playing at a high level with infidelity looming in the background |
Funny how everyone is analyzes Lebron on a game by game basis. One game he is superman, the next game he is awkward offensively. Bottom line is, Miami is the best team right now, because they have the best player with a better supporting cast. Can they be beat? Yup. But the worst thing you can do if you are the Pacers is engage the heat verbally... Lebron's primary weakness is he plays well only when challenged. If I were a Pacer, I wouldn't utter a word after this game, and hope the heat get lax again. Otherwise its going to be like last year. I just watched Vogels after game interview...dude knows whats up. Dont give the heat any locker room fodder. |
JeSoul: Lol. Popovich has 4 championship rings and you call his "brand of basketball an eyesore"? haba lol. I will be the first to agree Spurs ball is by and large boring and predictable - BUT he was not hired to make Sportscenter Top 10 plays - he was hired to win championships and he has done that for a long time, able to draft wisely and maximize potential. Spurs ball may be 'predictable' but it doesn't mean just because you know what they're going to do, you'll be able to stop them.Well Pops has done one thing different this year. Lionel Hollins even admitted that the spurs had plays he had never seen before. Lets see if he can surprise the grizz in game 2 |
I agree completely with 1-5. Nigerians generally dont realize how brash (and sometimes annoying) they are until they leave the country. And this is true not just in the west, but other African countries. You almost want to "sapas" the yam heads . I'm curious as to which the OP thinks is actually true of Nigerians |
Heat-Pacers (4-1) I see the Heat beating the Pacers 4-1. Pacers claim to be a physical team, but the only legit physical starter is D. West. The rest try to feed off of him. Hibbert's fake toughness is particularly hilarious. In fact they are lucky they didn't meet the Bulls because the Pacers would have been out by now. Their only shot is Hibbert getting a ton of offensive rebounds against the generally shorter Heat - I don't see that happening 4 out of 7 games. I look forward to an overconfident Pacers team eating dust ![]() Spurs-Grizzlies (2-4) Frankly, I want the Grizz to sweep the Spurs, and put an end to Popovich's messed up, ugly, eyesore brand of basketball that he has refused to give up because he won chanpionships with it a decade ago . I guess his pride wont let him admit everybody now knows his style of play, which is why even the Warriors gave them fits. Unless Popovich suddenly changes his plays, the Grizz know what to expect. Spurs will win one or two, because its hard to stop Parker's penetration for a full 48, even with Tony Allen on him. I can't wait to see Pops go fishing..again. |
So its Heat-Pacers in the east. Melo vs Lebron in MSG would be something, but it aint happening |
JeSoul: Welcome aboard! here's a welcome giftUncle ke? lmao. Here is why all the talk of flop, fairness, etc is not bugging me: The league is a business. The reason you dont have any compromising videos of Jordan is because it does not help the NBA's cause. Just like every star player's career has been whitewashed, so will Lebron's. And there will be endless "moving" documentaries on NBA TV making you think he, Kobe, etc are the best things since sliced bread. If you think Lebron's was bad, you shoulda seen Jordan. You couldnt even touch him. Or check out the Kobe's second, third championship runs. Who cares about that 10 years later? Few people even remember. The sooner you realize this, the earlier you save your energy - find a team you like and just enjoy the game. If there is one thing I like in Lebron over Kobe, its that he has figured the game out. Not the game itself, but the fact that this is fundamentally a business. He may be chasing rings, but he understands this is a business first, sport second. I hope he becomes as rich as Magic by the time he is done. Meanwhile A-40, keep wasting your time ragging on millionaires. |
A-40:See how ridiculous you are getting bros. You are now at the point where you are demanding that Lebron must not fall down when pushed unawares by a 6'10 center. And yet you are supporting the dirtiest team in the league, the bulls. I can see you are getting desperate |
JeSoul: Sorry just had to revisit Birdman's claim that the Heat don't flop....wow..una dey determined o . Its 3-1 anyways. I have to admit that was funny. I'm no fan of flopping in any case |
For sure, I'm smelling upset. GSW has outscored spurs twice now...they lost game one because of lack of experience. Spurs basketball is outdated. |
