kael: This is chidi Lloyd's ( the guy with the mace) Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/chidi.loyd lets show him dat he cannot hideWhat would you have done different, I'm curious. If a colleague storms the house with thugs, chases everybody away then elects himself as speaker, I'm not sure that being a gentleman helps you much. |
teemy: not if you really relate with the character played by will smith in the movie.I was pulling his legs. I actually relate to that character a lot. No tear shedding tho ![]() |
dayokanu: Tinubu has not forced anyone to join his party, Anyone not satisfied with him and his practice is free to join other parties or platforms. Fight no deyAbeg tell dem o |
Sir Pius and his roundabout articles. Anyone notice he never gives his own solution to the issue at hand? WHy hasn't he named who he thinks would be a better candidate? He reminds me of Abati back in the day. Both these guys get carried away by the pen. Their wise sound bites die the moment you try to put them in practice. Thankfully their are a few realistic columnists like Okey Ndibe who can criticize and be practical at the same time. And no, I am not a Tinubu fan |
The earliest images of Mary and Jesus were black anyways - check out the black Madonna and child. Chei! See wetin yoututbe wan cause ![]() |

babe_online: lol...do you mean Africans will be mad if they see a picture of a black Jesus or do you mean whites??I mean Africans. Which in itself is disturbing |
more like thought for food. boy is it depressing how Haiti continues to be ravaged |
babe_online: lol...you sound like you are angry but I understand very much why you might be pissed. Sometimes when I think about just how much Mr ''Jesus'' is worshipped by black Africans who live in the sh.ithole of the world, I begin to wonder if blacks are really sane. To answer your question I really don't know why they worship him so much while they suffer so much too...anyway today I dey go ''church'' but na to go chop rice and take drink. MAN MUST WACK!!!!Africans will tell you they dont care what color Jesus really was. But see how dem go vex if they see a picture of a Black Jesus. Insane indeed |
ACM10: In the post 9-11 world. The so-called post factor analysis can never favour those that are predisposed or sympathizes with Islamic extremism. Superpowers are now cautious in dealing with such groups. The world has moved on from the age of ignorance and misconception. No superpower will support rabid extremists, who will only send suicide bombers to their country. They are wiser now. Moreover, they are well aware that the age of exploitation has gone. The event of '67 was possible because the mentality of colonialism was still prevalent which was rooted in exploitation. Everyone is wiser now. Equal partnership with mutual benefit is the rule of the game now.How do you explain arming Syrian and Libyan rebels |
Seun: The pursuit of HappynessYou shed tears over pursuit of happyness? Turn in you man card immediately, that is if you still have one |

A-40:Im happy for Howard. I think this is the best decision he could have made. His personality just does not fit the lakers or their fans. |
dasparrow: If Lagos State were to break away from Nigeria, I believe she has what it takes to become the Dubai or Singapore of Africa. The problem is, some unscrupulous human beings who are currently benefiting from the current corrupt setup of things in the nation called Nigeria will not allow secession. I believe that if each state or region can break away from Nigeria, things will begin to sharpen up and then we will see which region has been slacking and holding the nation backward and hindering us from reaching our true potential.Physical secession is not necessary. Political power comes from a strong economy, and its only a matter of time before Lagos becomes autonomous politically and economically. When that happens, physical secession is a forgone conclusion. How will it happen? Every region that does not need federal allocation to survive inherently weakens the power of the FG. And the FG cannot kill that region's growth without going through House/Senate, where they will never get enough votes. In other words, you can have a standing ready army and still lose the country. Eventually, Nigeria will become a loose federation as a compromise to keep the FG alive. The fact that Lagos is drawing other west african countries hastens this process, and I think it benefits all Africans in the end. Finally, we may have the makings of a true country, not a map drawn by colonialists with installed puppets. |
Roland17: You definitely have not been following the Indiana Hoosiers and NCAA basketball in the past 3 years, Victor and Cody Zeller are huge talents and the magic should be very happy with that pick.Cody Zeller is good. But he is a long term project. There are lots of faster big men in the league who understand the game even better. It will take at least 2, 3 seasons and I dont think NBA execs are that patient anymore. Btw can someone open a new thread and kill this baga? |
Nice find. There was one scary line... Nigerians economists say that if the international price for oil dips below $90 a barrel, the government in Abuja will become insolvent.Lets hope this doesnt happen while Uncle Jona is in power |
payless: My Igbo brothers and sisters, are Boko Haram terrorists "freedom fighters"? The Chairman of your party (PDP), Bamangar Tukur said Boko boys are not terrorists but "freedom fighters". I believe you agree with him.Haba. Has it come to that? ![]() Seriously, guys should stop wasting time on Fani-Kayode. At best, he is a PDP plant, at worst he is a rambler whose only claim to fame is his father's fame. |
Rossikk: First of all you are a liar.Im guessing you believe your response was civilized ![]() |
cashflowpc: Why?Hot cakes get cold. If you study computer science, you can still jump into the IT field, and jump out when you want. IT workers are classified as administrative expense, which means companies aggressively look for ways to reduce IT staff. If you study IT, you will find it hard, if not impossible to jump the other way to Comp Sci. If you are in IT and not self-employed, there is a really good chance you will become outdated before you are ready to retire. Bank on it. |
pres-elect:They havent axed the whole thing. But the provision axed will make the act harder to enforce. |
thoth: Have anyone ever tried thinking how this generation of blacks can be converted back to Africanism(afrian philosophial beliefs, religion, culture, outlook and development) ?Very thoughtful post. However, I think violence is not what is needed. In fact, violence would help the stronger nation, because they can use it as an excuse to wipe you out for good. Witness China, which didnt assert itself physically until it knew it was ready. Or Brazil, that used a slow grassroots movement to build true independence. The truth is that even if a violent conflict ended in Africa's favor, it still wouldn't help us. Lets be honest - most of our tears are crocodile tears. I cant tell you how many times I've seen Africans bemoan their lowly status, but then you watch their habits and you realize they really dont want change. Or even freedom. They just want comfort. Any victory we win by violence will be quickly lost by our habits. There is no other option than the slow but steady grassroots learning, making the truth available to people, and letting that seed grow with time. When truth aligns our habits, change is inevitable. |

ekt_bear: Meh. I don't think gayness being taught in schools would make my kids gay...I personally think that it is mostly genetic. There is more to sexuality than genetics. There is a behavioral component too. Its not politically correct to emphasize it, but it is common knowledge that people who suffer abuse, or absent fathers, etc.. often take out their inadequacies sexually. That doesnt make it right or wrong, but its something to consider. If its only genetic, how do you explain, for example the jump in incidences in the american black community. Contrast that with black populations elsewhere. Anyway, some parts of oyibo culture are good, others are bad.Lots of good in fact. I have personally learned a lot. Given that Nigerians are some of the most racist, xenophobic, tribalistic, sexist and bigoted people that exist on earth, I am not sure that I want my own kids to follow the Nigerian example...the oyibo one is better.Even the most tribalistic nairalander will never think twice about living next door to a member of another tribe. You cannot say the same for oyinbo can you? As soon as you can show me Nigerians institutionally discriminating against other tribes, I'll agree with you. Even till today, Yankee is still a fundamentally racialized society. How can you compare that to Nigeria where tribes are marrying up at a dizzying rate? When last did you hear of an Igbo police officer gunning down a Yoruba man, just because he thought he could get away with it? If the Trayvon incident happened in Nigeria, it would be an open/shut case. Tribe would never enter into it. Its fashionable to piss on Nigeria every chance we get, but lets be real. I am trying to become more tolerant as I grow older, and want my kids to be the same way.I commend you for being mindful of others. But being tolerant does not mean accepting what you believe is capable of destroying you. For the record, I have no problems with other people's choices. But I know all this African bashing is not about that. They want to get us to the point where we teach our upcoming generations that this lifestyle is ok. Aint happening. I can already see what all that tolerance has done to the AA community - once the family structure goes down, its not coming up back again. In fact, the major thing separating a young Nigerian immigrant like yourself from a young AA is most likely a family structure in place. Why in God's name would I want to jeopardize that? |
ekt_bear: My philosophy: live and let live.Wait until you have your own kids. We dont have a lot going for us, but we sure as hell wont be selling our family structure just to fit in. Before you know it, they will be asking that it should be taught as normal in schools. One generation later and our kids will be lamenting how we followed oyinbo man into destruction, like we always do. |
maybe its time to let the old man go. Are we keeping him alive for selfish reasons? If life becomes too painful to live, abeg let the warrior die a natural death, |
