Golden State shoulda been 2 up! If not for a bit of bad luck and naivety. Steph Curry,Klay Thompson how can one team be blessed with those kind of shooters! San Antone in trouble

Derrick Rose is a weakling! After signing a 5 year 95 million dollar deal. How does he sleep at night knowing fully well his team needs him! Iman Shumpert tore his ACL the same day Derrick Rose did last year but he is back now making things happen for the Knicks! Did you see his dunk the other day? He shoulda been back since March yet he keeps stalling I wonder if he would feel mentally and physically ready to pick a ring should the Bulls go all the way

Hahahaha at least we've established Lebron flops and is quite talented at it as well or are you still in doubt?

As for Ibaka! Ninja please he plays close to the rim! Hence his high percentage. There's a reason why he is called Air Congo and its not for his jumpers which is still a work in progress! Like I said I would easily list 25 guys at his position that have better J's than Ibaka
I like your energy brah...feel free to rag on Lebron all day. I like it because he reads social media, and thats the only time he gets motivated to play

As for Golden state, if they had won game 1, they would have lost game 2. They won game 2 because they decoded the spurs game 1 run. Thats why Jackson couldnt help the grin at the interview ...they came into the spurs house and stole 1. That the best result that could have happened.
SportsRe: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 3:13am On May 10, 2013
Roland17: I beg to differ on your point about Ibaka being a jump shooter, Ibaka only developed the jump shooting aspect of his skill set this season and brooks allowed him shoot all through the season with hopes he would get better and add some more weapon to their already depleted armory, especially after they traded J. Harden, but the sad truth is his jump shooting is way way below average, irrespective of numbers.

Since the post season commenced have u seen him attempt jump shots like he did during the regular season? and when he did what is his percentage of made jumpers, in-fact Ibaka has been a liability to OKC this post season, he's been unable to stay out of foul trouble and its been impossible to play him and Perkins at the same time.
He developed it last season actually. In fact, the Thunder were not the standout favorites last year initially, they took revenge on the mavs and then wiped out the spurs. Watch thosse games, Ibaka was hitting about 80% of those outside jumpers. Thats why they won 4 straight against the best spurs team ever assembled since Ginobili's first year as a spur.

He isnt making them this year at the same rate, because people know about that shot. They dont face guard him, but the put enough pressure for him to miss - he doesnt have a full 2 seconds to gauge the rim anymore. Before you say this makes him a bad jump shooter, consider that Derek Fisher is in the same boat. He makes a lot of 3s, but his numbers drop when you put pressure on him. Ibaka's mechanics are that of a pure shooter - im guessing a pure shooter coached him. He has the form and follow-through, but if you bother him a tad, he will start to miss, because it really isnt his primary strength. But he can make 8 or 9 of those shots on any given night

By the way, even Doug Collins, a coach alluded to this in game 1. This is a known fact.

When I took JAMB, it was hilarious - you could see older dudes who had taken JAMB x times just panicking half way through...muttering all the way.

the bulls are so undermanned its not funny. i hear rose may play game 3. I really hope the bulls front office is not that stupid - he is guaranteed to reinjure himself if he jumps into the playoffs

Looool Ibaka is not among the top 25 jump shooting power forwards in the league today so how can you tell me he has a legit jumper? He had to keep taking those shots because OKC needed someone not named Durant to provide some points! Ibaka is so offensively challenged he couldn't make an uncontested layup in the previous round! Woe betide OKC if they have to rely on Ibaka on offense
The difference maker in the Spurs series was James Harden so where u got Ibaka from I do not know
Ibakas's FG for this year:.573 and about half were jumpers. Numbers dont lie. I know you will argue with the numbers...eh thats your isssue

Lebron and D.Wade say hi
lmao. I'm not even going to get into this. if you are a lebron/wade hater...is cool with me. Anytime I press folks for evidence, they start to ramble lol.

Ibaka can spread the floor? huh huh How do you spread the floor without a legit j bruh?
He has a legit jumper. That is why brooks lets him keep shooting the 18 ft jumper today, even after he missed the first 5. Or do you know better than his coach? That jumper also helped them past the spurs (who were scary good and had like 20 straight games won, including playoffs) last year.

Even better, he had enough pull to have his own colloquium. That is definitely history.

dayokanu: Can OKC pull this off
NOPE. The grizz wear you down game after game. By game 5, you could see the clippers bigs huffing and puffing on every possession. Anytime there was a dead ball, you'd see DeAndre Jordan bent over, hands on the knees.

Ibaka can spread the floor, but will those shots fall when he gets really winded? I doubt it. And Fisher is a solvable problem - the grizzlies actually prefer him attempting 3s than Durant getting hot.

Roland17: Even though i agree with your assertion, i doubt Shane is a typical example...

Shane Battier is 34, he would turn 35 in September, which longer term are u talking about with Shane? except u mean after his NBA career.lol
i guess you have a point there. dude has been in the league for a while.
PoliticsRe: No More Tribal Attack In Politics Section by birdman(m): 6:07am On May 08, 2013
Dudu_Negro: clarify your point
what part needs clarification? A nairalander constantly abuses other ethnic groups and mocks them. A strict moderator decides he wont have any of it, and starts enforcing the rules. The said nairalander, rather than tone it down, expends considerable energy fighting for the right to abuse others. This is madness, the psychological kind. If you are so used to attacking others that you are unable to function otherwise, you really do need a psychiatrist.

I understand the Ibo/Igbo angle, given that many prominent people refer to themselves as Ibo - I personally see nothing wrong with it, but d.mn, why waste energy on calling people names they have decided they dont want to bear. And by the way, I really wasnt refering to you - there are much worse offenders the mods should be focusing on. There should be some leeway in the politics section otherwise there will be no conversation.
PoliticsRe: No More Tribal Attack In Politics Section by birdman(m): 5:43am On May 08, 2013
some people are funny. look at all the effort trying to convince mods to let you abuse other people. some people need a psychiatrist for real.

They ain't scrubs at all.

Nobody flops on the heat. Honestly, I think Battier takes way too many charges - those hurt your career long term.

PoliticsRe: 2015: Merger Parties Pick Buhari by birdman(m): 4:05am On May 06, 2013
The running mate is more interesting in this case. If a Northern muslim has been chosen, a southern Christian has to balance the ticket. We could very well see a SE governor if Buhari is indeed on the ticket. I get the vibe this is all misdirection though, to throw PDP off its game for a bit.
Foreign AffairsRe: Claim: Obama Hid 'Gay Life' To Become President by birdman(m): 1:47am On May 02, 2013
I think everyone can agree that all the evidence so far is circumstantial - my word against yours type of thing. Unfortunately, the accuser is an ex-con, who committed crimes where he had to represent himself as something else and fool people - forgery, scam, etc. Just by Sinclair making this claim, he he killed the rumors. I cant beleive anyone is desperate enough to take a random ex-con at his word.
InvestmentRe: Advice On Making Money As An Undergraduate. by birdman(m): 12:57am On May 02, 2013
Seun: There is nothing that will make money sharp sharp before you graduate without you having to do any work. Investments that can generate money without any work or risk usually have relatively low returns, which makes a lot of sense. If you want to make lots of money, you have to work hard. There is no way around that.
Rituals are not that hard to do,

CelebritiesRe: Gwyneth Paltrow Voted World's Most-Beautiful Woman by birdman(m): 1:26am On Apr 29, 2013
Seun: Dude, I'm not an expert on the type of women that gay men are attracted to. All I know is that I am completely straight.
But are you honestly suggesting that most or all of the people who voted for her as the world's most beautiful woman are gay?
Also, if Gwyneth Paltrow was considered to have a masculine body, she would not have been chosen for her feminine role in Iron Man.
Of course not... I was half kidding. Still its just ridiculous the low opinions corporate news media has of people's intellect. Paltrow is in no way, shape, form or culture, in the past, present or future ever going to be the most beautiful woman. Not even top 100.
CelebritiesRe: Gwyneth Paltrow Voted World's Most-Beautiful Woman by birdman(m): 8:53pm On Apr 28, 2013
Seun: That's a ridiculous statement. If you think about it for a moment you will have to slap yourself for saying such nonsense. While I am not particularly enamoured with the lady, I don't think she deserves the insult of being compared with the likes of frying-pan deep Beyonce.
Dude is not far from the truth... she looks like a little boy. If you find such figures appealing, there is a good chance you also lean the other way. Of course this is one of those taboos oyinbos will never discuss in the open wink
Foreign AffairsRe: Great African Women In History by birdman(m): 7:05pm On Apr 28, 2013
bukatyne: Just like Egba girl said, I think there are different types at branches of feminism and people have different interpretations.

I believe that my husband (currently my fiancé)and I are equal and that is what propels me to treat him the way he treats me. Before I do certain things, I try to think of how I would feel if he does the same thing and this helps in putting things in perspective. Knowing we are both equal has helped me understand that he sometimes need my help, encouragement, support etc. and I am prepared to be there for him as he is there for me.I do not understand why people especially men start frowning when it is implied that men and women are equal. I wonder why they feel it's a license to disrespect or be rude.

I also don't know where people get the idea that it's unfeminist to take care of your family esp husband and vice versa. The home must be cared for and it's the people in the home that would care for it. I however object to the fact that it is 'unmanily' to clean your home or do chores.

If only Christians can develop the fruits of the Holy Spirit, it would not matter if we are male/female, we would treat each other as humans first before gender.

I believe feminism was developed as a solution to a problem. If it is solving it or not, is another kettle of fish.
Yankee is now at the point where men are suing a female sorority to allow them membership under their version of equality. What I have noticed is that while many feminists have no problem with this, all black women I have talked to have a negative reaction to this. This is because feminism is a western construct and does not mean what African women think it does. I like the bolded, and I dont think you need feminism of any sort to achieve it.

In short, dont destroy a potentially good thread with unafrican stuff. Moremi and Queen Amina can stand on their own accord

Seem like you are a wife beater and a puncher yourself that's why you could spew such rubbish without shame!
Who told you every man is a wife puncher?! What disrespect to the male folk!
My dear, there are lots of good guys out there that don't have such barbaric character!
Just like there are lots of beautiful women with good character out there!
For the fact that someone made a choice to choose wrongly does not mean every husband or wife is bad! Trust me, their are lots of lovely partners out there!
If you refuse to acquire the right knowledge and choose wrongly......... That's your biz!
I usually don't reply to peeps that are not on the same 'frequency' with me!
I simply drop my comment and walk.......if you like take it, if you like don't! Just like I read others comment and take the ones that I like and discard the rest!
So Oga once again....... MY HUSBAND WILL NEVER BEAT ME!
Tnk u!
So what if he does beat you. What then? You are not the first one to think it cant happen. You have no control over another adult's decisions no matter how much you fast, pray and do seminars all day

Lets see how much this nugget will help you if your husband starts to use you as a punching bag. You can do all the counseling and seminars you want, but the successs of the marriage still boils down to your partner actually wanting it to work out. And you have absolutely no control over what an adult decides to do. You can pray, fast, beg, go on vacation all you want, but if they arent interested, you are wasting your time
