CFCfan: I can't wait for Sunday. Miami will make it 3-2.They have to. Outside of Parker, I have little respect for San Antonio's in-the-paint game. But damn, I have never seen such deadly, consistent shooters. If Spurs go up 3-2, their confidence will skyrocket, and this can only help the perimeter shooters....similar to what Heat did to Thunder in game 5 last year. |
I have never seen Parker or Lebron gas out in a game. And I've never seen Pops look confused on the bench, ever. Both teams were playing as good as you could possibly get. If you are a basketball fan, this is a series you want to get to game 7, just to prolong it. There are 28 NBA execs ready to make trades so they look like the Spurs or Heat next season. oh...like I said earlier, 3's have a way of luring you, then turning on you. In a 7 game playoff series, it will hurt more than help. Green and Neal will get theirs, but 3s will hurt you on crucial possessions. |
Alyricist★Laura:Check the stats you posted. It wasnt a 3 point barrage that won the game. As you will see, the assist spread among the Mavs was high, indicating team chemistry. Something the more talented Heat did not have at the time. Lebron's feet abi? Thursday is almost here ![]() Btw I love any pic showing a sad Terry...thanks for posting that |
A-40:The Spurs are definitely well coached. Dont forget though, Neal and Green had fresh legs all game long and Popovich kept subbing them in and out. Its amazing how shooters start to brick shots if their legs get worn out. There is a good reason Pops will not be giddy about this win. Even the best 3 point teams like Nash's Suns back in the day always fell in the playoffs. I wish I could read Spoelstra's mind right now - probably coming up with some crazee scheme ![]() |
^Terry went 3 of 7 from 3 point range in one of those games, so that obviously wasn't the reason they won that series. The heat didnt have an identity in their first year. In fact, we still werent sure who would be the go-to guy at the end of games between Lebron and Wade. That wasnt going to work against a team with excellent chemistry. Dallas was less athletic and just plain out-thought them |
eGuerrilla: To be frank, it worries me that we make a lot of wild and untested claims on these boards, in order to rationalise our inaction and ineptitude at a personal level.Just dont let thoth hear you. He actually believes we have nothing to fear from Iran. There is only one big bad wolf as far as some people are concerned, I agree that we like to theorize a lot to hide our passivity - but there is historical precedent for some of these theories, and we do well to not ignore them. |
I dont feel down about this loss. 3s have a way of lying to you, and its just one game. In fact, I feel good about the next game. Why? Most of the damage from 3s came after the Spurs already had a sizeable lead. If I were Spoelstra, I would do the same thing I did in Q4 game 3... dont overhelp on the 3 pointers and give up an easier 2. If Danny Green and Neal can win the 'ship for them with 3s, they deserve it - they would be the first NBA team in a long time to do so. |
Mynd_44: I am going to bedAre you going to be able to sleep? . If I were Splitter, I wont be able to sleep eitherIn other news, I'm a believer in Danny Greens shot. Dude is flat out scary. |
ShyM-X:The breakup of the Soviet Union was presided over by a still powerful Russia. Even with that, the West was able to get into some countries covertly and cause some mayhem. The closest thing to a hegemon in west africa is Nigeria. If we ever balkanize, its over for west africa. all of it. You can be sure agents from every world power will rush in, carving up resources while former Nigerians scatter across the globe, putting the Lebanese to shame. |
A-40:Lord ave mercy . If you truly believe this, there is nothing more to say. |
obanikoro epon ... there is some truth to that ![]() |
A-40:Ok. Who is a bigger threat at PF... David West or Duncan? |
A-40:No doubt. Parker is essentially unstoppable. I think the Heat are going to have to live with his 25-30pts and not over help, because Im still not convinced the Spurs can make contested 3s as easily. Those 3s by Green and Ginobili really werent contested, even though they looked that way. Their feet were already set and they had gauged the rim before the defender got there. Im not too worried about Duncan... |
joeydozzy: The guy is rightBut you forget that being physical is both ways. There are very few 90s era players who would win a physical game against Lebron. What is even funnier is a Jordan team mate talking like this. If you even breathed on Jordan, they would call a foul on you. |
A-40:The key to the Spurs is still Parker. The Spurs do have some cold blooded shooters, but under the right pressure, all shooters, especially pure shooters like Green go cold. If the Heat dont overhelp on Parker, Heat should win game 2 |
Eri8: My brain is telling me Miami will comeback and win this series but my heart is telling me spurs in 6. Shout out to Parker, heck of a game from himYou brain is brilliant. |
spurs fans coming out of the woodwork...issokay ![]() |
Can anyone name one country that has successfully banned plastic bags? I'm waiting... |
thoth: ....The true definition of understanding is when you can explain a concept to a child. There are even illustrations explaining Einstein's theories to kids. Could it be that you do not fully understand the events you are witnessing and are just being reactionary? You are starting to sound like Rossike ![]() |
thoth: That shows why so many people should first do a research before trying to counter others. Even more that two weeks you still do not know that Hezbolla has partnered with the Syrian Goverment forces and fought the Western backed rebels. They have pushed them out of Al Qusary on the syrian border which is a major arms supply route to the rebels. As of this morning more than 4000 Hezbolla fighters are camped at a military academy on the outskirts of Aleppo waiting for orders to start a push into alleppo which has been under the rebel control for months.Again, you have thrown out a bunch of facts, but have refused to logically link them. Hezbollah has always been government backed and is a proxy for several middle eastern states. We know that. Before you bamboozle us with these facts, again, can you tell us what the alliance you stated above has to do with Hezbollah smuggling weapons in Nigeria? What among these facts makes you logically conclude that they cant possibly mean Nigeria any harm? This is the question you keep trying to avoid |
thoth: Syria: Update. More than 4,000 Hizballah members have entered the city of Aleppo, a spokesman for the rebel Free Syrian Army said on 4 June. The Hizballah fighters are stationed at a military academy and preparing to attack Aleppo, the spokesperson said. Comment: The military school is on the outskirts of Aleppo and is located in a neighborhood that the government still controls. The three recent visitors to Aleppo - described as Middle East experts - said they were told by the rebels that the military academy would be one of the staging bases for forthcoming government operations in Aleppo. -You are not the only one using Stratfor. When an intelligence think-tank produces info on a situation, you are supposed to apply it to your present situation, like their other clients do. An American hedge fund looks at the same information differently from a Chinese oil multinational. I havent seen you apply that here. You have just taken raw information, and have not done any critical analysis on it. For example, what does alignment between Syria and Hezbollah have to do with Hezbollah's relationship with Nigeria? You still havent shown any link between the two. |
JeSoul: My brother na so we see am oh! they won't fine you if you say what they want to hear, but the minute you voice some opposition the gag gets put on. Nonsense. Broussard earned like a truck-load of respect from me for being the only one with enough stones to stand up and speak his convictions and damn the consequences (and if he worked for the nba he woulda probably gotten fined). The rest of them just sold-out or too scared to voice their opinions cos of Stern and his minions. Useless nonsense.Broussard in in trouble. The unspoken rule of corporate media is, if you are black, dont let me catch you thinking for yourself. I know Barkely and Shaq are very anti-gay, but they had to murmur along and agree when the topic was brought up on TNT. If I were Broussard, I'd be dusting my resume for the next job. One tiny mistake, and ESPN will have an excuse to fire him and no corporate owned media (>90% of all media) will ever hire him again. Thats one brave brother tho ![]() |
GenBuhari: In the event of our oil crash, the govt's response to it would determine whether a revolution occurs or not.Ok I see what you mean. Lets hope it doesnt crash under GEJ then, because the dude will literally wet himself and be unable to do anything for months. Other than setting up a committee to look into it |
thoth: you are very right just that i think the name Hezbollah was carefully chosen to tarnish the image of the great movement. Hezbolla has been fighting for the Syrian Goverment since last two weeks against the USA sponsored Al Qaeda and has given considerable damage to the western destabilation plan on syria. So now just like iran they want to bring in out on the lime light and darken it and make it their next target.Do you have proof of this, or are you just making this up as you go? Your obsession with the west has reached the point where you are making up stories and passing them off as fact? This does wonders for your credibility. |
thoth: the only bad guy there is is the West. Go and find the meaning and struggle of Hezbolla and then tell me what they will be looking for in nigeria. The weapons are not useable so it is evident that it is a plant to sway opinion. In fact i am tired of nigerians and their stupidity.I dont need to look anything up. I know exactly what Hezbollah is. Just becasue they are enemies of the west doesn't mean they are your friends. In fact they have never been your friend, and have lower opinions of you than the west does. Are you able to comprehend that logic, or do I need to add a "I am tired of Nigerians because of..." phrase to help you out. Anyone that doesnt see it your way is stupid abi? smh. |
AjanleKoko: Surprising that in 2013, black people still make excuses of racism as a valid reason for descending into crime and terror activitiesIts not about excuses. I havent seen one Nigerian or human being that thinks the Michaels had any excuse. Its a numbers game. The worse things get, the larger percentage that falls thru the cracks. A radical 0.1% of the population can do significant damage. If racism makes it jump to 0.5%, this is a problem. Those who have kids do well to not ignore it. |
nerodenero: End times already here and only God can safe us.The world has drastically lost moral values and human lifes are of no significance. ![]() |
thoth: I find this hard to believe, this is another ploy to throw out another ally against USA created BOKO HARAM. Since the Hezbolla Guyus started fighting AL-Qaida in Syria the US and his allies has been trying to paint them black, what would hezbolla be doing in West Africa of all places, i think the ignorance of nigerians anything that sounds arab is immidiately classified as a terrorist organization.Dont go crazy with the conspiracy theories. Is it possible SSS was tipped off as revenge on Hezbollah? Yes. But its no secret that Hezbollah has been gaining ground in Nigeria since Abacha's reign. Saudi and Iran have been fighting proxy wars on our soil for decades - I hope they hang all involved i want any body who has used a weapon on the front lines to tell us what ordinary dust can do to your gun talk less of this kind of rust. What is your point though? Why does a Lebanese civilian have a cache of arms hidden. Wether the weapons will work as effectively is besides the point. I know you want to see the west as the bad guy. That is your choice. But remember, there are other bad guys out there too. Iran's hands are not clean. Nor are Syria's |
lmao...who are you guys deceiving...is this how they look early in the morning? |
GenBuhari: You are right.Dont be so sure. Already, multinationals are hoarding cash like crazy because everyone expects this summer to end of year to be volatile. The US, our solid customer, is already on pace to oil self-sufficiency and the only reason China isnt cooling off on production (thereby keeping oil prices high) is because fears of an slowdown at home could lead to more riots. In short, there is nothing stopping crude from dipping precipitously long enough to make things unstable for Nigeria. I think it is a bit selfish to wish for the crash though. I don't think a Nigerian revolution will have the kind of orderly outcome you are hoping for. Sub-saharan west africa will go up in flames if Nigeria burns. In short, we need to stop looking for miracle solutions, keep the pressure up and see what our generation can do. |
Siga: ...Counter punch for where...that one na next season...lol...they can go counter punch their wives and girlfriends...Lol. The pacers have been composed most of the game, better than I expected...the heat just put it in another gear. I think we will be seeing this same series in the ECF next year. |
