ddippset:You might not appreciate him or like him. But you have to calm down. At least you have mentioned the less than 500 metres flyover constructed by him. Please don't forget that he employed a lot of persons into the Rivers State University. Please can you tell us which State governor since 1999 till date has done such projects given the time frame and if you're not from River State please tell us what your State Governor has also done that beats Wike's.... |
Typing:A lot of people don't like to try something new. The question they should even ask themselves what role does the salad cream play and they should note that people now use mayonnaise in place of the salad cream? Just because you tell them you put kulikuli they are making face and mouth like ........ |
SmartPolician:I guess that private business of such magnitude would not be standing if the governor did not accent to it. So give him the credit for it. It doesn't have to Otti's private project of Abia State Government project. So, given that, we now know that the power sector has seen good reforms that even you can be involved in if you have the right people with you and technical know-how. |
SmartPolician:You seem not to be in the country or don't you know the electricity act has been amended.... Why do you think Gov. Otti has just finished the installation of an independent power supply.... Nothing stops others from doing same |
PeterObi4Presid:There is nothing to fume about. Just pretend you don't know yet. We dont know how much you agreed with him to pay him monthly as salary. Because if he has already mismanaged or stolen much more than his salary then you need to fire him now and no need for payment. If in 7 days he can do tgis kind of magic you can imagine what he can do to yoyr business and to you in 30 days and 365 days. |
Bobloco:Gov. Fubara is not thinking through before he speaks. He is allowing his emotions play on him and his thoughts. The Nigeria judiciary is so rotten that people begin to doubt their capability. Yesterday, the judiciary was the last hope man, but today, the reverse is the case The bolded is true for all States of the federation. So it's not just whether it is a SHC or FHC. We only say good things of the judiciary when a judgment favour us but when it favours the opposition , the judiciary is to be blamed. We can't be hypocritical always. |
Pbatmedia:Some of this just are just video games. Sometimes I laugh over the kind of leaders we have and their sense of reasonings many a times.... Bayelsa State Governor wants IOCs to bring their HQ to the State , is that not the same thing Rivers State has been shouting as well, how about Delta State, will they be denied same too? So Gov.Diri can't look at the FG laws regading stoppage of gas flaring and enact laws in the State that will make the IOCs to stop it or mitigate it. Sometimes I just believe we don't have governors who are actually knowledgeable enough and be able to think through and reason. Na this Bayelsa State we dey for 4 months now no light and we don't think the PBAT has heard it but those northern states that don't have light for just 10 days are known by PBAT. Omo, we are truly second class citizens. |
AcuraZDX:The headline is saying that they have withdrawn their purported affidavit but when you read the article it says they "withdrawn part of it".... Please does this imply that the affidavits and oaths they took have been amended because to me that's what to withdraw part would mean..... In as much as I know that even such affidavit can't actually stand in court for this particular case but does Gov. Fubara and his men not gotten their hands on this so called affidavit or what exactly has he been using as evidence in the Courts he has been going to or we are just relying on media dramas and gimmicks and fairy tales. |
FreeStuffsNG:Without much thought his party has suspended him and withdraw his office and he is just a floor member till the investigation is complete. It's just a video evidence of his assault. But in Nigeria it's the other way around and you'll see the same people who are criticizing PBAT are the ones saying there should be out of court settlement. We are a hypocritical people. |
SanctifiedSista:The person who is narrow minded is calling another narrow minded just like those senators..... Do you know what's a private airstrip? So now you want Pa Oyedepo's private airstrip to be used by those so called big companies, do you even know what you're saying or to have thought? Is it now a business that you're trying to say he shoud consider or is considering and you say it will benefit the government? Are they going to share bills? Your assertion is very very laughable. |
JASONjnr:Those who are brainwashed are the one who are putting up a fight against private ownership of airstrip by individuals and organisations and givng out flimsy reasons behind such. The insecurity in the North and that in the East and other parts of the country is it as a result of those who own private airstrip? Does the proliferation of arms, drugs and ill-gotten wealth come through private airstrips? For me I don't really think any christian organization needs a private airstrip irrespective of the reason for that is not christianly. But the reasons given by the senators are ill-conceived. |
Bobloco:To the best of my understanding, Gov. Fubara is not been truthful in certain of these things. A lot of things were itemized on the peace pact agreement. Was it Gov. Fubara that took the SHA to court or they took him to court that he is the one to withdraw the case? Is it not the person who instituted the case that will withdraw the case? Is that not how they do out of court settlement? What exactly is there to hide? What other things were on that peace pact that he refused to accent to the moment he came to Rivers State from Abuja after listening to his so called advicers? Gov. Fubara is not been sincere on his own part. |
adolfHitler1934:You can say this is Nigeria but the way the political landscape is in that SHA, you can't buy those men. This is way more than integrity and loyalty. Those men were in the game while he was still a civil servant and accountant general of the state. Those men had been working with Gov. Wike. Those men were the people who worked with Wike and ensured he became governor against many odds and opponents. Even the former LGC chairman worked for him through Wike to ensure he is governor. So, how much of Rivers State allocation will he be giving them and for how long can he do that if it's all about money? Is it not this same money we were meant to believe the former governor wanted from him!!!!! There's so much Gov. Fubara is yet to tell Rivers State people about the real issue between him and his Boss. All I can say is that na gossip we dey gossip. |
Georgry:You can't take the same case on same subject matter to the HC again. I don't believe anyone ambushed Gov. Fubara in that saying because he withdraw. The agreement he had with PBAT on white paper specified certain things to be done by him. Now if he wants us to believe that he was told to withdraw the case of which he did, also note that the other party is supposed to withdraw as well because it's a two way thing!!! Those who went with him to the peace pact have not even come out to say that PBAT deceived them if that is the case..... From my own perception Gov. Fubara did not carry through on those agreement on that pact the moment he came back to Rivers State from Abuja for reasons best known to him. So you'll see he is speaking from both sides of his mouth. You can't be saying you don't have any problem with PBAT and on the other hand you'll taunting the president. There hare things you don't do as an administrator on public television. |
Eboski:It's an appeal in futility. There's no court that will give him judgment because there's still no court that has declared vacant the seats of 27 others. We are being told that there's a case at the Supreme Court with respect to that but I can't seem to say from where because the Appeal Court previously said the Rivers State High Court lacks jurisdiction and so can't declare those seats vacant. On another case the FHC said he should resubmit the budget to the proper SHA members. I still don't know who Gov. Fubara is taking advice from but it all seems like they will not work in his favour. He's attitude shows lack of maturity in handling such things. |
Omooba77:It's just 10 days for these States and they are complaining..... Meanwhile in Bayelsa State there has been no light for more than 3 months going to the 4th . |
Sleekfingers:What will the compensation do? When he serves a jail time of 6 months and loses his seat, many like him will respect themselves. |
Ikaeniyan0:Of what importance is settlement our of court? That prison sentence even if it's 6 months that Senator will serve and he will lose his office and other will take his place. That way many others like him will behave themselves. Even the Senate President and Speaker are not exempted. |
2Ways:It is that same court that put Fubara to be Governor. Itis that same court that put a serving senator and governorship aspirant in prison too. Relax the court is not done yet. There is more if Gov. Fubara keeps going against the judgment. |
press9jatv:Good a thing you saw bridge construction. Let SIM do his own infrastructures and he will be appraised. |
WizardOfNG:Fair enough. You can't take away harassment and extortion, etc ,etc.... from the blacks. I am not aware of how it works in the EU but one thing that is certain is that we have never copied anything and done it better like you have in Indian movies. |
Gboss247:I think with the way Nigeria is zoo in the Rivers State is no longer something the SG should do or even maintain. It will be better if that place is turned into a large place where different kinds of fisheries can be raised and some put in a gigantic glass aquarium. The government can even build it into a ranch for rearing of all sorts of livestock especially cattle and goats. There are exotic breeds. |
WizardOfNG:It is not about being pessimistic but about sustainability. If another FRSC comes on board he will be looking for what to do and abandon this one. We lack continuity. |
VeeVeeMyLuv:What a figure for repairs.... Now so i hear say the solar street lights been given to contractors by nddc in this operation light every community is #1million naira each pole... The business is truly lucrative for all parties involved. |
officialwdhtv:What does he mean by fair hearing ? Or is it like the kind of fair hearing they would have requested if Sen. Ekwerenmadu had perpetuated that issue that got him locked up in prison in far away country. Hypocrisy smells. As far as I'm concerned if this does not go to court then it's because the bolt driver have refused to get the services of a good human rights lawyer. This is a civil case and letting it be with the police and all will be time wasted in futility. |
press9jatv:You dey make some of us dey laugh..... Well, infrastructures don't hide and a the appropriate time all will be seen and appraisal will be done. |
WizardOfNG:Let us not deceive ourselves of what is not reality as long as it concerns security. Even the countries in under UN, NATO, EU don't share the same driver license and vehicle registration number plates, people who have a better security network and data base than Nigeria don't and will not even do such.....How much more Nigeria!! What exactly is the drive for this if not for the agency to look for ways to enrich themselves through such registrations.. Is it not this same country that we have been given NIN, BVN, DRIVERS LICENSE, VOTERS CARD, MULTIPLE SIM CARDS FROM ALL THE DIFFERENT NETWORK PROVIDER AND YET THE SECURITY AGENCIES AND APPARATUS ARE STILL LAGGING AND SECURITY IS GETTING WORSE..... And you want FRSC to have a data base.... The one they have what have they been doing with it... |
BeeBeeOoh:How these people come up with such ideas I don't even understand!!!! Every country should have their own pattern for driver license and number plates while that which is for ECOWAS because of regional trade they should also have a different pattern for such so that those who are into regional trade and business with their vehicles can opt for that a proper identification process and data base be kept to maintain security. Trying to make all ECOWAS states have same drivers license and vehicle number plates will cause a serious insecurity problem in and for Nigeria since we already have one that is yet to be tackled given the prone nature of our boarders and attitude of all those who are expected to mount the boarders. |
FutureFocus:Yes it is a beach in its own sense but for use for cultural events and all...... I guess we should be expecting a new facelift and uplift befitting of the times we are in. |
press9jatv:What has he done that he is so soon be named the best governor in Rivers State? Do you think he can be given any title that can beat the titles given to former governors before him? (1) Gov. Odili..........Golden Governor (2) Gov. CRA............I can't remember what he was called. (3) Gov. Wike........Mr. Projects........who lives up with the expectation. (4). Gov. Fubara.......what do you think he would be called? |
press9jatv:This is a welcome development. It's also timely that Gov. Fubara also do something about the Old Port Harcourt Park at Mile 1 and also ensure that it's also given a modern fitting and State of the Arts equipments and buildings for that land there is massive to be left the way it is. |
Onyiridike:Please mention the names of the idiots that have been doing such and doing it well and better and please make mention of the name of your State Governor, after all it wasn't his/their father's money !!!Since it's so easy for idiots to get projects accomplished. I wonder how come the country is the way it is given the number of idiots that could accomplish things that are significant. Thank you. |
