iwaeda:Baba go rest and enjoy your old age.... You're not in touch with the modern world. |
PresidObi:Pandora's box is what. A man who used States' funds to put into family business. Every politician has a dirty under wear, it's just that some are more dirty than others. PO is not a saint. The only notable investment he did with State funds is to open a brewery industry whose value at this moment is nothing to talk about. Do you know how much that investment would have been of worth now if he had even put it in harnessing the mineral resources in the land. |
pongwa:The old ways..... Ride on your horse with your sword and spear and strike down your adversary. They can choose a fight to the death or whoever strikes the first blood, or whoever gets the other to fall on both knees or on his back. The old ways is always better and honourable for those who chose the way of honour. ![]() |
EmperorCaesar:He is only making a humour. He meant otherwise. |
ATLANTIC01:It is called restitution. As a born again believer, if you're been led by the Holy Spirit to do such then it's good. There are those who preach such as a doctrine, but I'll say there's a way one would go about it and it would be an act of making himself to be self righteous. How it became some form of doctrine I can't say. Such restitution is much only in this pattern but you'll hardly see those who became rich/wealthy returning such to the less privileged or motherless babies home. God does not accept ill-gotten riches/wealth as any form of sacrifice. |
Racoon:First the health care facilities in the country is hogwash. The FG and SG have refused to pay a living wage and you want these doctors to salvage the country that's been rundown continuously by you the political elites. If your colleague Ekweremandu had salvage the country he would not be in prison in UK for a medical operation that would have been done in Nigeria. |
dre11:Now, the governor knows he is the chief security officer of the state because of his carelessness and show of force to dethroning an Emir.......certainly he did not see all these coming.....na for dethronement him want become chief security officer of the state. When bandits, bokoharam, Fulani herdsmen, kidnapping, etc, etc activities goes haywire in the state, they will start shouting Mr. President is the chief security officer and is the one who controls the security agencies. So now you want the commissioner of police a federal officer, to seek your consent on how to go about his legitimate business!!!! We all see why politics shouldn't be done with sanctimonious sentiments and bitterness against anyone because once the table turns, you who thinks have the upper hand would be the one crying. Kano State Government in this administration is making a mockery of themselves and the traditional institutions. It's high time, the true hausas of the land rise up to the occasion and set themselves free from their fulani masters. |
NeckingNgulping:It is definitely a sham and a diversionary tactic to give the populace something to tit about while the elites do what they know how to do behind the shadows. Regionalism can't be agreed upon by one man or even the National Assembly. I just wonder why did PGEJ not execute the confab report after it was submitted to him!!! Of he had done that we would probably be calling for minor amendments and upgrade. The SW has some tricks up their sleeves and PBAT has some hidden beneath his cap. It's a pity the man who needs the government to bow to him is the one bowing to the whimps of the government. |
Fareke:This whole minimum wage, the FG and National Assembly are making it look like they are doing NLC a favour and by the look of it, the President will come out with a blackmail minimum wage amount and NA will pass it and make it look like NLC is the one going against the constitution of the land. This PBAT administration is very very short sighted in all their approach. They have no idea of how to run an economy to be up and well. |
NeckingNgulping:Truth be told the type of regionalism they are talking about is a deceptive one and only fools, myopic imbeciles will agree to such integration. Imagine being in such marriage with someone who looks down on you and sees himself as your superior to conquer you. One who doesn't bring anything useful to the table but wants to make critical decisions for others to adhere and abide to. Let there be 7 States within each zone and let them be granted full autonomy and full 95% resource control. The FCT should also be regarded as a State in its own unique nature. The LGA should be fully made a solid tier of government with core mandate and responsibilities. More LGA be created and also RCDA/LCDA as cluster/development areas can be created in smaller units to fasten enhancement of critical development infrastructure. States within same geographic location or even far who share the same economic idealogy and otherwise can come together under some form of partnership arrangements and do their things and share revenue. Power should be decentralized. The NPF should be changed to Federal Police Force, the EFCC/ICPC should become one entity. Nigerian Customs/Immigration/NSCDC should become one entity. FRSC/Traffic Police/VIO should be one entity. Mobile Police/JTF/CTU should become one entity. Theres no need for 2 federal houses. We should just have 1, and let it be HOR. States shouid have their own structure that is a replica of the Federal. Ministers should be only the number of total States in the country. No need for minister of States. |
NeckingNgulping:PBAT saying he would continue where PMB stopped does not literally mean bad economy eventually. Let's just say it may go both ways, only let him not be indifferent to the plight of the common man. |
Newlymarried:If this Fulani man could say such then I know there is change coming. This is the one who is supposed to be the President of the Fulani's herdmen not that one that's there. |
NeckingNgulping:They are saying the truth obviously. But has the North also not contributed to this failure of democracy dividends not enjoyed by the populace? Or they just want to talk because the President is from the South West. A Northern just completed 8 years and what did they say about it? |
BeeBeeOoh:This same Northern group that kept quiet when PMB was still in Aso Villa? The North has no business speaking for Nigeria, let them speak for the North and tell us why despite the placement of Northerners(Muslims predominantly and few sanctimonious Christians) in highly exalted positions be it by election and appointments from 1999 till the end of PMBs administration, the North still remains a region without any form of reasonable development compass be it in human capital development, infrastructure, the Almajiri is still practiced, etc, etc. The North basically remains a place that looks developed but the ideas, minds and thoughts of the people is still in the stone age. |
adenigga:Imagine an irresponsible government and institution lifting ban on sachet alcoholic beverages with the excuse that the economy is strained and it will be enforced when normalcy returns. Bunch of educated illiterate full of deception. Thats the reason PBAT says the FG will pay what they can sustain and let everyone cut their coat according to their size of they even have size. I guess the sachet is the size the poverty minimum wage can buy. |
adanny01:The SG would not call for the arrest of the other Emirs because they are just pawns in the political scene. The SG wanted Ado out of the picture and they achieved that when he was out of the State. Probably they feel that's the only way to not have serious issues and threat to life if he were in Kano. Just the same way Buhari was ousted by way of coup when he was outside the country. Since it's a facade let it stand till the proceedings are concluded in a competent court of jurisdiction. Everything happening now is for a reason. There's no such thing as coincidence. |
greggng:The bolded is what we all await. Winner takes it all. |
greggng:We are all aware of the application the dethroned Emir took to the Federal High Court and it's well within the rights of the FHC to entertain such. |
IfnobeGod20:Desist from petty sentiments even when you quote the constitution. Give these some thought and consideration. While it may be said that no State law can carpet a Federal law, also be reminded that Caretaker Chairmen is unconstitutional and likewise there is no amount of excuse for it to stand whatsoever the duration and therefore can't override the same Federal law he quoted. Now, when you say no State law can carpet a Federal law, howbeit that the Islamic law which is both a State and Religious law has always carpeted the Federal law and none has spoken against it!!! So why the abnormality? |
TheElites19s:Interesting though. Let's see what's happens on the 18th as their actual tenure ends and see what Gov.SIM will do with the security agencies at his disposal. |
greggng:The law will be enforced. Many are angry because the Ado who was dethroned is not keeping quiet and has taken the case to court. So as it is now, let the court do their part and whatever justice that comes out of it will be enforced and I'm sure no one will want to stand against such judgement. |
TheElites19s:If your interpretation of that which the Appeal Court pronounced is in order, does that mean all the bills passed by Martins Amaewhuleas Speaker still stands and the other person standing as same is illegitimate given this ruling till June 20th when the actual judgement will be given. Now if you say Martins Amaewhule remains the Speaker Status Quo that also means the incumbent LGC chairmen will remain in office according to the law passed by Speaker Martins Amaewhule? |
greggng:He does not go into exile based on self except he chooses to if where was provided for him does not fit him. Maybe you need to go back in time and read. Sanusi 1 and Sanusi 2 were banished to a specific State, LGA, town, community. Its in the history books with some personal staffs. Such was done in the case of Ado. |
adanny01:His dethroning is also banishing him because he was out of Kano for a function and the SG within it's powers ensured he did not return to Kano. Till date, the SG did not make mention of any place where he would relocate to which is out of place considering those who were dethroned before him. So where do you expect him to put his bed? So if his character is now tarnished because he chose a smaller palace to reside within Kano in the town/village called Nassarawa then so be it. The case he took to the court is not even about the stool but his rights been taken away from him. |
Blitzking:Yeah and we'll be the one to fix the figure by the hour. so they see how it is. |
sulaak:That's basically what they have been doing and giving priority the way they deem fit. Other than that there's absolutely nothing the government offers the people. |
Blitzking:So it's better the government at all levels do the right thing instead of making the man at the bottom who receives a meagre wage like he is completely nothing. All the people ask is a wage that is commiserate with the realities of the economic conditions on ground initiated by the FG arising to such ripple effects. Nigeria is not like the UK or USA where one is paid by the hour cause if that be so many persons would do multiple jobs and earn the corresponding wage for such work. |
Blitzking:What is the productivity of the legislooters? What is the productivity of the president? What is the productivity of the governors? |
Curious345:Where are you sourcing for such land? |
