Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor

The A/F sensor consist of 2 Oxygen Sensor housed in a common area with common chamber between them. Air/Fuel Ratio Sensor operates on a wider scope not like O² sensor.

The A/F Sensor is quite different from Oxygen Sensor. The O2 Sensor measures oxygen through voltage. Air Fuel ratio sensor uses current to measure air to fuel ratio. AF sensor uses minimal current for its operation.

This is the major difference apart from the inner construction.

SYMPTOMS OF A BAD A/F SENSOR

* Rough Idling
* Reduces Engine Efficiency
* Decreases Fuel Efficiency
* Black soot noticeable at the tail pipe

Fixing the A/F sensor is more complicated, you need to run a thorough diagnosis. Some other components are involved like the Injector, coil pack, plugs, leakage around the air hoses. So just let an Auto Technician run through.

Mostly the code thrown up is P2195, which stems from Faulty O² sensor, or harness or wire gone bad, poor connector, faulty Injector and lastly Faulty ECM - Engine Control Module.

So in conclusion run a comprehensive diagnosis to safe you some changes.

I drive Honda Accord 2003,4 cylinder. After and engine overhaul, I noticed my automatic transmission makes a whinning sound. And selection is erratic after prolonged driving, car movement is no longer smart as before. I serviced the selonoid valves and yet problem persists. I googled the problem and they suggested a bad converter and filter. What do you advice?

In that situation you won't see a visible leak when the coolant gets to a certain temperature they vaporize and leaves no trace the best way to get a leaking radiator or water pump mostly is to fill it up run the car on a spot for 30 to 45 minutes then ask SOMEONE YOU TRUST OOOO. To step on the brake and engage while still in drive let press down the brake pedal and you carefully inspect the radiator rubber packing round and Thermostat area then the water pump

Boss you will surely see it that way, cuz for you not to see it means the leak is still quite minimal and not in excess crack.

Good day house, Merry xmas and Happy New Year in advance from us at B-Automobile.

Acura RL 2008 was one car built to perfection, the sleekness, easy to handle just lovely.

I worked on a particular one today and am going to point out few things your Kazeems will do.

I was contacted by a customer with a complain of P0128 Cooling System Malfunction. He explained how his temperature guage fluctuates anytime he's driving and how a Kareem he took the car to work some magic and told him all was well till he went to pick and discover all was not well at all.

Let me analyse here

Most local mechanic will condemn your Thermostat once you complain about temperature issues. Always pay attention to your guage and the little info we provide here

The Solution that his local mechanic gave was to remove the spring around the Thermostat and place an empty Thermostat cover back in the car. Which didn't solve the issue.

After running diagnosis and checking the Relay for the fan too which I discover was not working optimally, I changed the Thermostat and the Radiator Cooling Fan Control Module and all was back to normal.

In summary when you have a cooling system issue always run full diagnosis and correct it and dont go for the easy way out.

Note: Don't be deceived that our weather doesn't support Thermostat. O wrong naw.

Brother man and anybody buying this scrap will not only regret it but also find it as irredeemable cross. 1st the engine bay has gone down meaning no life again in this car
2nd the allowance between the front tyre and and body speaks alot about the accident nature of the car and suspension system totally gone back to factory age.

3rd the rust is not just on the outside but underneath and inside the car.

If I should put a price then 200k is just ok. Cuz that is a scrap

Tappet Noise

A tappet noise refers to the noise made by the Lash or Clearance between the Rocker arm and Valve stem in a car.
It also occurs as a result of the lash or clearance between the valve lifter and valve stem at start up for at least 30 seconds. It normally occurs if oil is not regularly changed or oil pump delay to supply oil.

The Tappet Noise can vary from start to continuous noise. When you start the car in the morning the Tappet Noise can come on for few seconds which makes the issue to be minimal, but when it is continuously giving the sound through out the driving period more attention is needs to avoid permanent damage.

Avoid using thick oil
If the oil is too thick then it will not pass through the tiny holes resulting in an increase in friction. The increased will not only lead to noisy lifters, but it may also increase the temperature a little bit. On the contrary, if the oil is too thin, it won't provide proper lubrication as well as padding.

In this situation we have the lifter as the main cause of the Tappet noise. Which can be fixed. But it is also important to differentiate between a knock sound and a Tappet Noise.

Tappet Noise comes from the top most part of the engine, mostly heard under the Valve cover and increases as the car is revved up.

Guys please I have an issue.

The car am driving is a Toyota Camry 4 plug. Sometime ago when I got the car, the mechanic in my area told me to come so that he can do "Fuel consumption" for me. He said he does it for other uber drivers. As a sharp guy that I am, I knew it was a scam and fake. I bluntly told him am not interested.

4 days ago, I took my car to him for servicing and oil change0. Since then, I noticed that my car has been consuming fuel more than normal. It now gulps fuel. Infact, 3000 naira fuel I put in Ikoyi entered reserve before I can reach Agidingbi in Ikeja. Thats abnormal because on a normal day, my car needs only 400 naira fuel for such a trip. Now, it takes 2,900.

Am very certain this mischievous and dubious mechanic did this.

Please who is aware of what he might have done to my car so I can correct it immediately. Thanks

Bro am Black fat pig been refer to by angryiboman, and here is my advice.

1. Run a full scan
2. Check for poor fitted injector noozle
3. Check your MAP/MAF sensor if it has tampered with
4. Check your charcoal canister and catalyst system including O² Sensor
Lastly what kind of engine oil did he use to service your car? That also can contribute.

#angryigboman your broke ass is yet to pay my money.
