LOL. 'show us the result of all your rallies'

I don't know why it's so hard for these people to understand that this country, as it is currently structured, no tribe or group of tribes can break away from this country so easily.

Times without number, I keep telling people that if Nigeria was meant to break it is that time of the biafran war that the country would have broken. It was much easier for the country to break up during that period because of the geopolitical structure of the country as at that time.

If Nigeria could not break up during that biafran war era despite the fact that we had a much weaker central government as at that time, it can't break now. It will take extraordinary catastrophe for that to happen. But this secessionists don't get it!

I will keep saying this: NO MATTER HOW MESSY THIS COUNTRY MAY APPEAR TO BE, AND NO MATTER HOW IT IS BADLY GOVERNED, THE FORCES HOLDING THIS COUNTRY TOGETHER ARE FAR STRONGER THAN THOSE THAT WANT THE COUNTRY TO DISINTEGRATE!

As far back as 1998 the Financial Times of London wrote that Nigeria is a Natural Gas Rich Country that Coincidentally happens to have Crude Oil

Let us Just thank Jesus Christ for all his gifts to our Undeserving Nation

O boy, the way God bless this country eh, it's just so sad that we have not been lucky enough to have selfless, incorruptible, visionary leaders of the caliber of Awolowo who should have been leading this country from inception.

Nigeria has no business being poor if our natural resources were well managed by selfless leaders who have future generations in mind.

I believe God is using this natural gas of a thing to give Nigeria a second chance to recover from crude oil money mismanagement and finally fulfill its glorious destiny among the comity of nations.

I hope we will have sense this time around to start electing good vibrant selfless leaders.

After reading that your comment, I am trying to imagine the type of father you are, or would be:

a sentimental, permissive, irresponsible father who would allow her daughter do anything, and would support and defend all evil done by her daughter in the name of her being 'a naive young girl'.

That girl you call 'naive young girl' is far more exposed to the dark side than you would ever be. Even though the man himself was irresponsible and psychologically sick, the girl is far from being innocent. She is a devil incarnate, a professional killer born to kill and a criminal.

Unilag must be commended for refusing to be politically correct because Chidinma is innocent until proven guilty.

A naive young girl, tricked, bullied, drugged and sexually exploited by a man old enough to be her father.

Considering she was under the influence of drugs when the murder took place, it becomes a case of involuntary manslaughter bordering on self-defense amidst a moment of temporary insanity.[/s]

The only thing we are 100% sure of is that she killed the man! That is the only fact that has evidence because the man is already confirmed dead and she confessed that she killed him. Every other story she cook up need to be investigated and verified before it can be accepted as truth.

You are correct. But I still believe for the interest of fairness and lasting peace rotational presidency should be legalized.

Power should be rotated among the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

If it's a turn of a particular zone to produce a president, all political parties must be mandated by law to field only candidates from that zone. I believe this will give everybody a sense of belonging.

Religion / Re: "Youths Can't Think": Bishop David Oyedepo Begs FG To Regulate Twitter, Others by BlackFlamefromP: 3:30pm On Jun 20, 2021
Oyedepo is not irrational young man. He is right.

In as much as social media has many advantages, it also has many dark, evil and bad sides.

The people who make positive use of social media are few. All other people use social media platforms to pollute the psychic and mental atmosphere of the nation with their negative and destructive thought-forms.

In a country like Nigeria where over 70% of people are addicted to negativity and negative news and are generally unpatriotic and irresponsible, if government can regulate social media it wouldn't be a bad idea. The people using it constructively for self development and career advancement has nothing to fear

grossintel:
I'm disappointed, this is an example of irrational thinking. He can as well encourage FG to ban mobile phone and laptops entirely since yahoo boys use it for fraud.

Ban kitchen knives because women are now using it to kill their husbands and boyfriends.

The benefits of social media can never be overlooked, if not for YouTube I wouldn't have learnt coding, graphics design or game development.

If not for Nairaland, I wouldn't have known freelancing works and how to go about getting clients abroad who pay well.

If not for Facebook, I wouldn't know the best and trending products to dropship.

If not for Twitter, SARS will still be out there killing youths for owning an iPhone.

Whats my own, can they really sensor social media? I don't think it's ever going to happen. Nigerians are very smart people with dump leaders so they will end up playing catchup.

While I agree with many commentators here that that stuff there may not be real solar cooker, I want to advise the 'inventor' of the product not to take all the insults and negative comments personally. I will advise him to keep developing his inventive talent and come up with a better product. He can do it. Rome wasn't built in a day.

While I sympathize with your point but I think Nigerians should learn to look beyond party. To me it's the quality and personality of the candidates contesting for the election that matters not the party he belongs to. The day Nigerians learn to vote for quality candidates irrespective of their party is the day we will begin to make progress as a nation.

Come to think of it, is it not in this same Delta State that a whole Pat Utomi contested for governorship but Deltans ended up voting for Okowa? You see what I mean?

Please always post the figures for public consumption. You look younger and sound educated so, you are supposed to be doing things differently. You need to have either quarterly or monthly EFCC publications of recovered loots and the looters' names. Only then would people take you seriously. All these media brouhaha like your predecessors won't hold water.

There are some loots you claimed to have recovered but still tied to some court cases which you might either win or lose in the end. If the owners had veritable facts, they could still get them back and as such, they can't be categorised under recovered loots anymore. You need to highlight all these in your publications as well, which should be assessible to Nigerians.

Nice point there. I hope they take note of this.

Primitive, twisted, sick unenlightened mind trying to form enlightened. So somebody should waste data and time to download vpn with the risk of infecting his device with maleware or spyware just because he want to deactivate his twitter account? Are you for real.

Deactivating twitter account just because of the ban is not even wise to begin with. What if the govt decide to lift the suspension today, you then start from scratch? Can you see how foolish you are?

Aisha Buhari you mentioned did not use vpn to access her twitter account in order to deactivate it as you claim. She hurriedly deactivated her account as soon as it was announced that twitter activities would be suspended in Nigeria. She did that when Nigerians could still access their twitter account. People like you who go about spreading fake news all over the place are one of the reasons govt was forced to suspend twitter in the country.

Your other comments about Nigeria shows you have a long way to go. You need mental re-programming and regeneration because your real problem is a sick unenlightened mentality.

I can see that you are one of those people who have neither brain nor 'anus'. When people wake up to find that they are unable to login to their twitter account because of the ban on twitter, shie, na your anus them go use login to deactivate their account or do some other things? Do you think it's everybody that is so addicted to twitter that they have to resort to using vpn to bypass the restriction? Vpn comes with its own danger, so I don't think twitter is worth the risk; I can't advise anyone to use vpn just because of twitter. It's not worth it.

Btw, I'm not even suppose to reply you; I'm just doing this for the sake of those who may genuinely be mislead by your misleading and deceptive comment

larryjonze:

On another day would just ignore, you sound like a typical nigerian.
The fact that you havent deactivated means you have an option to access twitter when you want, all it takes is your decision. as long as the choice to visit twitter is totally yours then the BAN is ineffective.
As we speak, active or offline you still count as a member, that is what count as population stats. if una mean business then deactivate maybe then jack will take una serious. aishat understands & knows she had to deactivated.
The ban will be consider effective when its not by your decision you're offline.

Politics / Re: Twitter Needs India And Nigeria To Grow. It's Running Into Trouble In Both by BlackFlamefromP: 6:26pm On Jun 13, 2021
I can see where you are confusing and deceiving yourself.

Just because someone has not DEACTIVATED his twitter account doesn't mean he has access and is still being active on twitter. I myself used to be active on twitter before the ban. After the ban I stay away from twitter but my twitter account is still intact. Will you say that the ban is not working simply because I have not deactivated my twitter account? LOL. That's where you are mixing things up and deceiving yourself.

Anyway, some people are just incurably delusional and never want to face reality and admit obvious facts unless doing so will not shatter their delusion. So I can sympathize with you.

larryjonze:

Oga you lie, twitter a community of elites therefore anyone capable of handling twitter won't have an issue using vpn cost nothing, so when you say few individuals i can categorically tell you nothing as changed.
Firms in nigeria are still very much on twitter, or you can show me just three companies not under NBC that as deactivated there account, speaking of celebrities everyone I can think of are still on, mention just one that left and i will show you 100% stay.
Since buhari ban twitter, aishat deactivated why have buhari children & liein mohammed children not deactivate what are they still waitin or keepin the account for.

It doesn't seem to occur to you that it's only very few individuals with insignificant numbers of followers that still uses VPN to access twitter or tweet. Big law-abiding companies especially in highly regulated industry like financial institutions, radio and television stations, telecommunication companies, many other corporate organizations and high net worth celebrities with hundreds of thousands or even millions of followers have all complied with the government on twitter ban.

How can twitter's suspension affect anybody's job or business, when there are many other social media platforms people and businesses can use and have been using to connect with the world, share ideas and information, advertise their goods and services and solve problems. Why are these narrow-minded people making it look like twitter is the only social media platform people have been using? How much twitter pay una to spread all these nonsense?
