If Lloyd Austin, the US secretary of defense dare loses his life, in whatever circumstances, those in the president inner circle must definitely honor him, not just that, the president would assure the world in a live broadcast, that everything is fine, though lost a hero, and probably declare a sober mood for one week. In Nigeria, even if all our citizens are dying, the president would jet out to attend meetings, governors would be acting inhumane like they're spirit and would never die. Our leaders see death of citizens and armed officers as normal thing, and they don't care if much more lose their lives, so long they're not related by blood. Even if Nigerians are dying, buhari would still continue his whatever celebration abi na fruitless conferences abroad, come back to Nigeria till it's concluded, and act like nothing happened, so malami isn't any different from his principal. They are there to satisfy the law as they deem it fit, not to please Nigerians and her armed officers.

The writer is contradicting himself. First he said the pastor is being an hypocrite for advising people to have a plan B while preaching faith.

At the same time, the writer said the idea of people “checking out” is not new, and mentioned a 80s advert, if the idea of leaving is not new, why criticize the pastor for saying something everyone else already knows?

The writer said, the pastor is having a privileged mentality, at the same time, he said even unprivileged people are either leaving or plan on leaving if u should check Twitter.

At the end of the day, let everybody do what works for them.

He should attack the message not the messenger. I doubt he would have seen anything wrong in the statement if he is a Northerner.

Most politicians including him are always playing to the gallery instead of enriching the debate constructively and intellectually to find a permanent solution.

Why will you unilaterally impose a blanket ban on the herdsmen including those who are law abiding and not see it as akin to banning spare parts dealers in the north, knowing that it is dominated by southerners who mostly sell fake spare parts that still take away lives? This is a great opportunity to resolve this age long problem and the leaders for and against open grazing should think as patriots and look beyond their regions alone. There are herdsmen in interior communities where open grazing has not led to problems and when you ban open grazing by fiat, to what extent will it affect the small holders who can't afford to start a ranch immediately? If they all quit being herdsmen and become bandits, the society will still pay for it.
So I expect serious intelligent suggestions on this issue abeg. I know that bigotry and hatred will prevent some people to look at the big picture but this is time for the patriots.

How can one be a liability on one's children! Anyone who sees his mother or father,or both, as a burden is ungrateful. It's a big mistake with terrible consequences to neglect your parents for whatever reason - how can you regard your mum as a witch because someone labelled her as such.
