TravelRe: Ice Skating In Nigeria: At Silverbird Galleria by BlackMamba(m): 3:27pm On Jan 08, 2007
Good idea. Soon tourists will flock to "Silverbird ice rink and ski resort" instead of the safari. Or better still, we'll be able to send our first ice skaters to the next winter Olympics. grin
Nairaland GeneralRe: What Can Make You Kill The Mother Of Your Children. by BlackMamba(m): 6:59pm On Jan 05, 2007
It may be mental disease or a person snaps due to a bad ugly experience. Whatever the reason, you never know what will lead a person to kill a close relative. But, it's still isolated incidents that happen even back home in Naija.

OgaMadam:
Ok but seriously if i date a naija bobo is there reason that i fear that he will revert to his IGBO route.
NO, if you're young smart and an upwardly mobile college grad, preferably an attorney or a doctor from a stable family.

nightrider:
Blackmamba,
ok what recreational activities do you suggest.
There are many sustainable outdoor activities crying for development in Nigeria. Only to adopt an "entertainment" in a country were we can't even generate enough electricity to sustain vital social infrastructures.
Even if they employ private energy sources to maintain the stupid rink, that's just a waste of resources to entertain the rich and pompous amidst all the poverty. huh

ICE RINK + TROPICS = COLOMENTALITY

Is there an end to our shameful copying of the West including recreations suitable to their environment. huh huh huh
BusinessRe: How We Made N5m From Recharge Cards Within 6 Months by BlackMamba(m): 8:00pm On Dec 29, 2006
I'm sure you can de-activate the pin-numbers if lost or stolen. This will prevent miscreants from robbing those that distribute the cards.
SportsRe: Premiership Remnants by BlackMamba(m): 10:12pm On Dec 28, 2006
Anybody criticizing Kanu should just shut up. There is no loyalty in professional sports. It's a fact that he probably would have landed in less fancied league, if his present club didn't pick him up over the summer. He has every right to try to maximize his earning potential based on his current performance. Nobody ever criticize teams when they trade a player or decline contract renewal, due to sub-par performance. But when a player demands restructuring of contract, based on performance, uninformed fans cry foul. It's all business. I support Kanu to push his club to give him a long term contract now!
PoliticsRe: Ethiopia Vs Somalian Islamists by BlackMamba(m): 3:28am On Dec 27, 2006
I hope Ethiopia can exterminate this cancer called Somalia. It's an open wound that can't heal. The world will be a better place without their unending barbarism.
RomanceRe: The Reason Why Naija Girls Are Rude! by BlackMamba(m): 3:05am On Dec 27, 2006
@Radiant,
Naija girls are not rude. It's you that have an attitude problem. Based on what happened, as you presented it, this guy wanted to chat you up. Only for you to show up with your ugly side.
FashionRe: Fashion Mistakes People Make by BlackMamba(m): 8:33pm On Dec 26, 2006
What has travelling got to do with how you view men with sandals. Majority of Nigerians still abhor gays but we don't connect gay to sandal wearing in Naija.
FashionRe: Fashion Mistakes People Make by BlackMamba(m): 8:03pm On Dec 26, 2006
Why do most African Americans view men that wear sandals as gay. And this includes wearing a sandal during summer when it's comfortable to do so.
RomanceRe: Jealousy And Relationships by BlackMamba(m): 4:44pm On Dec 26, 2006
How can 2 people in a relationship be jealous of each other? Lack of trust, I can understand. Any relationship is doomed at the slightest sign of jealousy. Jealousy is dangerous to platonic friendship, not to talk of intimate relationships. I can manage a lot of bickering in a relationship, but my mind can't comprehend my wife/girlfriend been jealous of me.
FashionRe: Fashion Mistakes People Make by BlackMamba(m): 4:24pm On Dec 26, 2006
@loverBwoy,
You mentioned wearing sock and sandals/flip flops as a fashion mistake, but most African American guys see not wearing a socks as a fashion no-no. Different strokes.

Christianity EtcRe: Do Catholics Believe in Being Born Again? by BlackMamba(m): 3:19pm On Dec 22, 2006
If you believe in the religion started by Jesus Christ, you can claim born again status if that makes you feel "more" Christian.
On judgment day (if there will be one), we shall find out if every Christian, including born-agains chose the right path to eternal salvation (if that's possible).
Mind you, there are more people on earth that do not even subscribe to Christianity. Only for us to waste time to worry about born-agains.

They all wear white gowns while the big dogs wears a red gown to stand out.
Christianity EtcRe: Brotherhood Of The Cross And Star by BlackMamba(m): 3:52am On Dec 22, 2006
I can't but wonder the level of ignorance and desperation that can make people so stupid and dumb, and propel them to support and financially sustain these shadowy religious fraud. Funny enough their poverty and disease persist while "The Spiritual Teacher and Sole Spiritual Head of the Universe", smiles away to the bank.
Christianity EtcRe: Brotherhood Of The Cross And Star by BlackMamba(m): 3:12am On Dec 22, 2006
I'm on the same page with you. Only stressing your point. huh

OOO's son and daughter were in my school here in Canada. They're regular people, believe me.
With all the wealth their dad acquired through religious deception, why wont they discard the white "bedsheet" and enjoy life like regular people.

You're are acting a bit immature in this situation, but don't worry about it. It's natural. Just go talk to her and don't worry about what will happen. If it doesn't work out, fine. At least you overcome your fears and give yourself a chance which is more important.
FoodI Hate Cooked Onions! by BlackMamba(op): 10:23pm On Dec 21, 2006
While growing up my mum did everything to make me eat them but finally stopped when it started to affect my eating habit. Because having a separate dish made for me without onions was completely out of question, I became very good in picking out all the strings of cooked onions from my food before I eat.
As an adult, in control of what I eat, I make sure cooked onions is not part of my meal, even when placing orders at restaurants. I don't have any allergic reaction to onions. Infact, I enjoy fresh onions in salad and suya. The problem is the cooked onions. My body cringes if I mistakenly chew one while eating, and usually spit out the food.

Is there a medical explanation to this condition? Do I really need cooked onions in my food, because I can care less about the slimy thing. I've enjoyed my food ever since I banned cooked onions in my meal.
