Attend more Naija activities in the U.S. or better yet, visit Naija and save your time on a faulty assumption that 80% of Nigerians are gap-toothed. Or if you must do your little research, just ask the 80% of your 50 Nigerian acquaintances. That's a more accurate research. |
Food for thought: What is your goal here? Is it a spiritual mandate you must accomplish to secure your own happiness? Are you so engulfed in saving your friend from a fantasy eternal damnation that you wont give a thought to her happiness in real time? If the hope of paradise is an individual reward, why worry so much about it for your friend, or are you worried that her "transgressions" will adversely affect your chances in paradise? |
Get ready for veiled bigots: "Too many foreigners are killing our football" |
Real men don't "enter into relationships" with their boy's girl, even if she was introduced to you as an "ashe" If you respect your guy, you don't do that. Put in some work and find your own girl. |
The murder of Bola Ige left me confused and thinking about Nigeria. I'm used to all imaginable "craziness" that go on in Nigeria but not this case. I still can't understand how the Chief Law Officer of a country was killed in his bedroom and the government goes about business as usual. I can't remember a higher public official that has been killed, outside a military coup. I can understand the reluctance of the Federal Government in the matter, but the lack of common outrage except a few people like Soyinka, is to say the least, scary. What about the Yoruba elite? May be there is something about this case that I'm missing. |
thando: y are Nigerians alwayz comparing themselves to South Africans ![]() There ought to be some kind of surcharge for stupid posts on this forum. Where did this one come from ![]() |
There is obviously more to this story than our inept media will rush to publish. Can't they do some little investigative journalism eg. place some phone calls or something, to authorities and provide the public with some sensible information. |
Why don't you tell him where to watch the f**king match or shut up if you don't know. |
To answer your question: Yes, you must adapt to the language of your environment, including the accent, to improve your communication skills. I'm not talking about street talk which looks stupid if you are forcing it. I cannot imagine someone adopting West Indian accent or Patios in Europe or U.S. ![]() |
sealed: Isn't marriage a commitment?Sure. Commitment for life without parole if you have no pre-nup to mitigate your sentence. |
Ethio_guy: I only said something I have read on this site that is all.May be you were browsing with your computer screen turned upside down. Or you might just be expressing a figment of your imagination. IGBOS are from IGBOLAND, Thank you. |
Marriage is a natural aberration, to conform with societal norm. Assuming such a risk with no safety net is plain insanity. |
Coming soon. |
herbsman: As a trained soldier at Sandhurst, UK., he has been exposed to politiking in various forms.most of our military dictators went to Sandhurst. whatever that's worth. |
Is your aunt still in love, crazy or what? How can she invite her Ex who, BTW, informed her that he will come after her even if she's married, to dinner with her husband? She better make up her mind who she wants before this gets real ugly. |
With the number of Nigerian men living abroad, I wonder how those unrelated incidents reflect on the character of every Nigerian man abroad. There is bound to be saints and murderers in any given population. Don't twist facts to suit your goal. |
I'm dressing up as Mrs Etteh to tonight halloween party. |
I know Arsenal v Man U will be a big deal for football fans but Patriots v Colts is shaping up to be the mother of all battles for the other kind of football fans in North America. |
The relevant legal questions are what are the status and powers of political parties when fielding candidates for an elections I can't comment on the fairness of the supreme court ruling without an understanding of the laws that they based their ruling. The supreme court was not asked to rule on the validity of the election. If and when the current election petition gets to the supreme court they might still rule against Amechi. |
The odds of becoming a successful trader (most Naija business is simple commerce) from boy-boy level, is as long a shot as a graduate with no connection in high places. Except you're involved in some fraudulent business which sadly is the only sure path to successful business in Naija. |
If you want your version of Jesus married and mystical, feel free. People believe in all sort of crap these days. Why do you seek approval. Religion is just what it is. Belief without proof. |
Some folks will always find a way to raise stupidity to higher levels. Or may be it's just some kid expressing junior opinions about dressing. Either way, this is just dumb. ![]() |
stellose: @benny gee or what, if you want to reason like an uneducated igbo man like you are i wont fail to be your hostMust we bring in IGBO into every conceivable squabble. Jeez ![]() |
Whether you like OJ or not is irrelevant. The fact that 12 people selected from the community analysed the evidence and found him "NOT GUILTY" is the key. No matter how you feel about the decision, the jury is still the best judge of facts. Look at the big picture and quit making sentimental judgment. |
Cut a green table cloth and sew a white sheet in between. What a designing genius. An "Obioma" tailor would've done better. |
Yes, because Magun detects only human penetration. Condom, been a foreign object, Magun will assume wifey is just masturbating with a vibrator which do not contravene Magun law. ![]() |
CONSPIRACY THEORY Football has long been discovered as the best way to distract Nigerians from the perpetual corruption in government and crippling hardship. Initially, the local league and national teams were good enough in this role, but the over time the perennial corruption in government has rendered football in Nigeria unable to perform. So in come the innovation of satellite TV to import football into living rooms and sports bars, to keep the masses busy with sports entertainment while the country is looted. |

http://odili.net/news/source/2007/oct/4/21.html Globacom Premier League Enyimba players head to Niger Republic for treatment By Christian Okpara TO ensure that its injured players receive proper medical attention, Enyimba Football Club of Aba has shipped four of its injured players to Niger Republic for 'adequate' treatment, an official of the club has said. The club took Uche Kalu, Andy Ogwuche, Saminou Rabo and one other player to the neighbouring francophone country because, according to the official, who pleaded for anonymity, "Niger Republic has advanced facilities for treating sports injuries." Uche Kalu, who was the revelation of the last NFL Super Four League, and Ogwuche, the source said, have been in Niamey for close to two months, while Rabo and the other player left for the country just before the beginning of the season. He revealed that Enyimba took the option of sending the players to Niger Republic after a futile search for a place to treat their injuries locally. "Uche and Ogwuche have severe knee worries, while Rabo's case is a recurring shoulder injury," he said. Rabo, who joined Enyimba last season, is a citizen of Niger Republic. Another Enyimba star, Odey Ogar, who was involved in a motorcycle accident shortly before the Super four play-offs, the source said, has gone back to his village in Benue State to treat his injury the local way after trying orthodox tratment in Aba. The defender sustained 'serious' injuries in the accident that occurred while he was holidaying in Makurdi. Confirming the report, Enyimba's Media Officer, Tonnex Chukwu, said that the club wanted to ensure that the players were properly taken care off, adding that "reports from Niamey indicate that the boys will soon return to Nigeria." |
Chairman Chukwu has been involved in Nigerian soccer since retirement. He was the Super Eagles coach as recent as 2005 when he handed over to Eguavoen. Presently, he is the coach of Enugu Rangers. |
