I for one can still remember when i was 5 years old , i was with my dad in his car at night. So while we were about to take a right turn into our street, i saw at the corner of the road a huge shining ''man'',he was shining better than a flourescent bulb, and he was as tall as an electric pole. He just stood there, like a guard. His movement were slow. As my dad slowly took the bend, i watched his face, my dad seems to take no notice of the image,so i tapped him on his arm and pointing,''daddy look at''. He looked but replied with ''what is it?''. I knew he didn't see what i saw. Up till this day, i still wonder what that being is.

Another one was when i was six year, i was in our home and my mother kept a bucket of water in the corridor , i looked closely and i saw sugar ants by the side of the bucket, mysteriously they were going inside the water on a straight line and when they get to the bottom they release themselves and float to the top, like they were under going some kind of training. I thought they were picking something at the bottom. I believe, children, when they point with their finger, they really see something we cant see.

Did the landlady got the quit notice from the court or police station. The notice is always issued by the court for certain period after which the court representative will be at the resident to pack the tenant load if she refuses to leave. So why did the police went to enforce the notice instead of the court? Police lawlessness. But they shouldnt b treated that way.

when you say or perceive that
someone or something else is in charge of your life (or
an aspect of it), rather than you. This can be as simple
as always waiting for directions before you take action,
or more complex like blaming your genes for a medical
condition that limits you. When you give away your
power, you give away your ability to make choices that
will make your life better. For instance, you may not be
able to do anything about an inherited medical
condition, but you can still choose to live life to the full
with that condition. Doing this will energize you.

3. Keeping lists in your head.
Sometimes, I find myself exhausted because I'm trying
to remember so many things. When I take a moment to
write them down, my mind can relax because I know I
won't forget anything important. The simple act of
writing things down saves me energy now, but it also
saves it later. If I insist on keeping all my lists in my
head, I almost invariably forget something. That causes
all sorts of stress and wastes so much mental
energy later, when I have to scramble to pull something
together or apologize profusely for missing an event.

4. Checking email more than twice a day.
Most people really only need to check email twice a
day. Most of your messages aren't urgent and, if
someone has something that you really need to know
right now, they can always call, text, or come find you
themselves. When you check email all the time, you're
distracted all the time. Sometimes, you're even trying to
check your email while you're doing something else.
However, multitasking doesn't really work. You're
actually switching rapidly between tasks, not doing
several things at once. All of this switching takes
energy, which you wouldn't have to spend if you could
focus on each task alone.

5. Trying to control the uncontrollable.
I like to be in control, even when that isn't possible. In
the past, I've wasted a lot of energy trying to control
people and situations that it simply was not within my
grasp to control. When I can let go of those things, I
find that I have more energy to spend on the things that
it is within my power to change. Letting go of the desire
to control usually comes from places deep inside of us,
and you probably won't be able to let it go overnight.
Start by figuring out what you're afraid of that causes
you to need so much control, and begin to work with
the idea of letting go from there.

6. Working long hours.
Working longer hours doesn't necessarily make you
more productive. In fact, productivity tends to drop
significantly the more hours you make yourself work.
When you're working long hours, you're wasting your
energy. That energy would be better spent finding a way
to rest and to
rejuvenate, so that you can come back to your task
later, at optimum levels of productivity. Even if you
don't get every second of rest that you need, a short
break will help you focus again.

On many occasions I see these force men in lagos state entering private cars and replying with 'staff' when asked to pay. I just don't get this law! Isn't the reply 'staff' restricted to BRT buses alone? Does it mean if a police man enters my car with his 5 children and 2 wives, he won't pay me? Or if 50 police men enter my car in a day, I won't eat because they are members of staff? Why don't they just buy their cars? With 300k you can at least get something good on four wheels instead of shortening the ration of private transporters. Its not fair! If arrested, they pay, if you enter their car, they pay. What if they take drop worth 5k, so they will still say 'staff'? Very annoying!

No sir! I wouldn't. But its easy to say about myself and not about others. I watched a movie recently titled THE LEDGE. A man had his lover held at gun point, and the only thing he was asked to do was jump down from a high rise building. He did, but many people didn't know his reason. I don't understand how a person can actually be brainwashed to that extent of killing himself even though I agree its possible. Its terrible. I really wish we see the end of this. Even if it means the military taking over till Nigeria is restored to order, its better than a militant group assuming control of overnight and making us bow to their excesses

I believe some of these suicide bombers are made to do these acts under duress. It could be that their families or somebody they love is held under captivity and the life of the person depends on their own suicide. Other wise, I don't understand how possible it is to tell a human to do a thing like this. We in the south are not as worried as we should be about this menace because we reckon it as remote, far off, peculiar to northern nigeria alone. But NO! It is a nigerian problem, because if these people succeed in capturing the north and making a military base out of it, then the beginning of our ruins become near. Our worst fears and worries will take effect, and any medicine will be too late to cure our wasting ailment. General Umar gave a speech on this recently and it is still treated as a matter of irrelevance. South! Let's act now before we cry for help!

I agree with all you said, and I certainly didn't mean it the way a lot of people seem to be taking it. I would have modified the post to make it clearer, but people seemed to be enjoying the insults they spend minutes typing, so I let them have their fun.

No, nothing is wrong with being a cleaner. I'm just saying, that in this day and age when women are really proactive about their lives, cleaning is left mostly to young girls who are trying to gain admission or are students already trying to support their parents. OR older women who already have families to cater for. There are different circumstances though, which I'm very aware of, that make smart women stoop to conquer.
But, a 26 year old who's a cleaner? Let's remember that banks hire cleaning outfits, not the cleaners themselves so whatever the bank pays is already slashed in half before it gets to the cleaner that does all the work. How much does she get at the end of the month? Is it worth running errands for her mates who are tellers or customer service officers?

I have a neighbor who's always after me to fix my nails or make beads and although it isn't my style, I do it from time to time to encourage her. She's gathered enough money to include sale of weaves into her trade. She could very easily get a cleaning job too.

There are rude female doctors, pharmacists, tailors (esp the good ones with high patronage) Nepa officials, office assistants etc.
Saying It ws unfair, I was feeling sorry for the banker. Everyone has some good in their hearts and want the opportunity to live someone and be loved back. It's only normal to have your specs in mind.

If you read the comments made so far (the 'impolite' ones) you are been redressed for holding an opinion that the man who marries a cleaner should be less-esteemed than the man who marries a woman strictly on the account that she is a banker. If I may rephrase the question, I'll rather ask you: between Jane ( a virtuous cleaner with a low salary, ), and Judith ( a rude banker with a fat account), who would you advice your brother or son to marry if he MUST marry either the one or the other?
