What stage have you passed?
There is the GMAT one and then written English (essay).
I think current affairs also happens on the same day as the essay.

afrobaby: @agiboma, am in Lagos, Surulere. I heard lagos state doctors are even on strike, that means I will have to try a private clinic, which I guess may be more expensive. Please, how do I know if my baby is doing fine(hubby says he knows the baby is fine), I feel more enrgetic these days, except for the fact that I get dehydrated often and also use the rest room so many times, i dont really feel preg again, am 15 weeks + 2 days today. I dont wanna go for scan, dont know why, lol.
Just go for one scan first so that you know that the baby is developing fine then just continue with your multivites. I am farther along than you but i am yet to start my classes as well though i have done a scan and now have my EDD.
Family › Re: How Was Your First Year Of Marriage? by blank(f): 1:24pm On Apr 26, 2012
My first year was pure bliss. Hardly any disagreements, we were just having fun. We would bring out our mattress to sleep in the sitting room cos that was the only room that had ac. Money was a bit tight cos I was still doing my masters and did not have a job. When I finished my masters I returned home thinking I would get a job immediately but no such luck as I was pregnant. Things were great and I could not be happier.

I waited to write my own experience cos I wanted my 2nd year anniversary to pass. This 2nd year has been very turbulent. Trying to manage the home, my son and then I got a job was so stressful. Whenever I return home I would be so cranky and tired then would have to start making food and blah blah blah. Arguments became 2nd nature to us and I could not understand what was happening to the man I had known for more than 8 years. Now, I have tried to reduce focus from my career so that I won't feel under pressure to be the best at work (something had to give and I decided it was my career). We are rebuilding ourselves and things are now settling into something of an enjoyable rhythm. Just have to find a cure to my speaking before really thinking of the import of my words. God will continue to make us stronger.

@ Agiboma, you have stated your opinion, no need to call others "fools". Your actions paid off for you, that is good but the same actions have not paid off for the op. She has said that she has been threatened. Does she have to wait to be beaten before she leaves? Remember that you once said that you chose to remain cos you had no means to support yourself and your kid. The OP has and she is tired of the relationship and is ready to move on. Whether she meets someone new or not is a risk she is willing to take. All she asked for where the services of a lawyer! If you know one, tell her, if you do not know one, let her be.

menia: It depends on if your application is a fresh application or is for renewal. if it is a fresh application it can take between 3-6 weeks(15 to 30 working days) but if it is renewal it can take between 2-4 weeks(10 to 20 working days)
I had a student visa before so this can be a fresh application? My issue is i need the visa to also apply for American visa.

MacLovington: ^^^^

Seems like typical Naija syndrome:

(1) Much will be advertised in public (ministerial jobs etc) but a few will gather in secrecy and allocate them to their family members and cronies.
(2) After much noise in public, the whole thing will die a natural death.

So things are never straight, transparent or reliable.
I don't think so. There must be a reason for the delay. Lawyer is a very honourable man. Still waiting for Ajah land.
Family › Re: I Want A Divorce. Need A Lawyer by blank(f): 11:09am On Apr 25, 2012
She is not looking for advice. She has her mind made up and she must have weighed all her options before coming to that decision. I don't know any lawyer except Debrief so you might contact her or she may see this thread and look for you.
I wish you and your kids the very best in life. You will find happiness and your kids will grow up and do you proud. Do not listen to anyone that tries to guilt you into doing what you don't want. You are the one in the situation and you know where it hurts.

@ Lawyer, i have a question. Is it the fault of the surveyor if it is not free from govt acquisition? I am a bit confused. Are they meant to check if it is unencumbered before doing the survey plan or after?

Thanks.

The story has lost focus. However, i love the part 4. I like her way with words and the way she gives information without being too detailed allowing space for our imagination to grow. She is good.
^^ Thanks blank.

So asides the tummy exercises at 3months + did you do any other form of exercise before then?

And how long did it take for you to fully recover from your C-Section? 9 weeks on and I still a twinge on part of the scar. It's healing nicely, but I feel I'm not "there" yet - if you know what I mean..
I have not done any exercises till now! I keep postponing it and now its kinda late. This is 14 months after the surgery and the scar still hurts a bit. I don't let anyone touch it cos it hurts in a funny way.

Is the house for rent? Why not rent it from him and stay comfortably with your family. At least, u know the landlord and you will be bringing in business for him instead of giving the money to an outsider. That's my opinion o.
Hear! Hear!!

Very true - and kudos to you on your new clinic Agiboma smiley

Question for all mums who've undergone a C-Section...I had mine 9 weeks ago.
What exercises can I take to get back in shape? I've recently started taking long walks with my baby and I'm considering swimming as an option but not sure if its too early as I don't want to risk picking up an infection from the pool.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.
When i had mine, the doctor said to wait for at least 3 months before i could start doing tummy exercises.
Family › Re: Sisters-In-Law: Why Do They Change So? by blank(f): 5:08pm On Apr 19, 2012
Ninapha: Honestly I quite understand where u are coming from but lets us face it, its almost impossible that the man never informed his brother, i suppose the case here is that the brother did not inform his wife and or the brother-in-law did not personally call the brothers wife (Madam) to inform her. Whatever be the case, A good woman would have managed the situation first and later talk it over with the husband. Whats the matter hiding things as if the brother-in-law cannot afford them or forgetting she may also need the assistance of the so called in-laws someday.

Like you said, her attitude was really uncalled for, and it tells alot on how she has been living with her supposed husband if she can do this to a visiting inlaw, whaao that husband is in real soup.
You said it is impossible, the guy himself said he did not call so where are you manufacturing your facts?
