eagleeye2:You're wrong read the law again. The FG owns by governor controls. The Land Use Act, enacted in 1978, was meant to standardise land administration systems across the country. It vested all urban land within a state in the state governor, and all non-urban land in the local governments in which they are found. (There are currently 36 states in Nigeria, and 774 local government areas.) The state governor and local government authorities are empowered by the Act to grant “statutory rights of occupancy”. |
rottennaija: SarkinYarki:Do either of you have proof. Its strange Sahara reporter's wouldn't Puting date on the attack. They made it seem like it happened this week. It's bad journalism in my opinion if that's case. |
These cooperatives will then be able to enter rental agreements for land use with State Governments and also benefit from on several other terms including loans, grants, and subsidies. How much do end user pay for services. Why is that part not mentioned anytime the discussion starts. Its pure crony capitalism. Nobody wants annother program tax payers will overwhelmingly subsize. The United States charges fees and leases for grazers. What does Nigeria get? Will Nigeria also lift ban on beef and pork imports? That's a benefit to people and will lower food prices. |
Nothing like that can happen. The states have to agree The governor of each state can easily reject initiatives and have alot of power under land use act. I believe legislation is required outlining this. |
Nbote:Im surprised they didnt film themselves hoisting their black flag after their prayer on the ship. I doubt they can maintain position so they might aswell destroy it. The other stuff like trucks, guns, food, medicine are very useful. |
SarkinYarki:I already have, just saying what needs to be done. Can you tell me what's wrong with my criticisms? If there's no solutions to take just relax and watch world burn like the Joker. |
“Our base was attacked on the 26th to 27th. We are on our way to escape. I was captured by the Army Kalaifa (sic) and now we are under their detention as prisoners of war.”I always wonder why the military has hard time sending in reinforcements from other branches or something. These naval officers said they were under attack for 1 day and were forced to retreat. They needs to do more than swap out security chiefs and throw money at situation. They need to coordinate and strategize better if they dont want troops sent to early grave. As we know Boko Haram prefers theire captives to be little girls. jarkbauer:It might those areas in particular. Touting will continue to exist in areas like identity change affidavits. That annother issue nobody interested in that causes alot of damage to society. Everyone sadly has an excuse why things dont change. |
Nuzo1:Ok we can disagree thats fine. It would be idiotic for them to essentially steal package in transit then try to extort you. At least we can have one set idiots trying to steal... NIPOST delivers all sorts of sensitive documents and packages daily. The other funny thing is the agencies like NIS are the corrupt clowns extorting you and making process take longer than necessary. We just option of getting mail in my scenario. |
Nuzo1:Instead of reforming the NIPOST you want them to collect your taxes for nothing? You're a very generous man. My cousin used them for her business and it worked well. NIPOST wont have any idea what's in package to racketeer. Nobody's dumbb enough to write drivers license inside. |
FarahAideed:The people enable their foolishness. They mail passports in US and just started in UK. Buhari could make it happen sith executive fiat. Anyway in todays news Lagos state government is asking people to collect licenses like it matters. Why the simple solution alludes them its a mystery. |
Why dont you mail it? Why isnt government patronizing the Nigerian postal service? Why should we the constomers come in twice. You have their address on the card. Why Isnt the government mailing PVC, drivers licenses and other cards?
|
“Why not? Of course, the government will go ahead with the programme, particularly in states that are willing to have it. For states that are not interested, no problem.”I dont think people care too much about states partnering with federal governments. The governor of each state can easily reject initiatives and have alot of power under land use act. Its the fiscal and economic aspect that is one issue. The other is obviously religion and demographic change. I believe legislation is required outlining this. |
When asked if it was right for the government to spend taxpayers’ money on what would benefit herders alone, Ngelzerma argued that crop farmers had similarly benefitted in the past.My issue with the plan is it's never disclosed how much the end users will pay for these services. In America the government charges a lease and fees to graze on federal land. What is Nigeria getting? Its pure crony capitalism. We have other market solutions that can be implemented like ending ban on beef and pork imports. The Southern and North central politicians aren't interested in market solutions. We should be lobbying our representatives and have them look into implementing an improved version on Bureau of land management policy in United states. It should be fiscally sustainable and net tax revenue. Second it should be explicitly clear any Nigerians can use facilities. Permits and leases generally cover a 10-year period and are renewable if the BLM determines that the terms and conditions of the expiring permit or lease are being met. In Fiscal Year 2015, the BLM was allocated $79 million for its rangeland management program. Of that figure, the agency spent $36.2 million, or 46 percent, on livestock grazing administration. The other funds covered such activities as weed management, rangeland monitoring, planning, water development, vegetation restoration, and habitat improvement. In 2015, the BLM collected $14.5 million in grazing fees. The receipts from these annual fees, in accordance with legislative requirements, are shared with state and local governments.

It's better off in private sector. The state never made any money on it anyway and weighed down by billions in debt. After the purchase it what happens to the debt? I just hope it cleared off AMCONs books. |
Blackfire:We have easy market solutions like allowing competition to thrive by allowing beef and pork imports. The politicians in south and middle belt never bring it up since they're not interested in market solutions. Cattle equally become very aggressive when given certain drugs to make them strong to cover distances and in the process they invade farms."Im guessing you're putting this out their so the government increases your budget. Tell us how many of these drugged out Fulani herdsman have u arrested so far. Lol the fulani herdsman are selling these drugged out cows in open market. Nigeria need to remove ban on beef and pork imports. Its not like northern Nigeria eats pork anyway. Front Page: Lalasticlala

Lol ask buhari to start drug testing lol. Im sure a good number of them will pee hot. It takes usually takes a month to clear marijuana out of system. |
orisa37:Watch the video he said what each on sentenced for. They tried to kill senior army general over ambush by boko haram. Its that incident in may 2014 at Borno. |
I knew this wouldn't end well for them. There proper channel to express grievances in the military. Their actions couldn't be tolerated. Ps: the video is from 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0z3NzIKM98 |
grandstar:Lol she looks a little too old to be having kids. If she has it in her cool. They can settle for some pets. |
Betting guys what are the odds. Lol how much to submit a bet. |
He added; "It will be more difficult for people to change data in their passports henceforth, as we already have about 7000 uncollected passports. The security in the new passport will discourage people who believe they can just wake up and change their names due to reason best known to them. The passport is linked with the NIN and the BVN, so with this, it will be difficult for anybody to change data, but my duty as manager is to reduce the level of corruption in the system. After adding all these security features they cant be bothered wth mailing the document like they do in UK and US. The money they're charging should factor it in. They'd just have to copy the process they use over seas. Most of the corruption is just employes extorting people. Just fire them then do better with issuing receipts and online checks like the US. It's all about accountability. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/after/status.html |
Oluwamarc: Oluwamarc:Glad you changed your tune. Yeah its the easiest way to get these expensive projects done. The federal government will partly fund and add free trade zone. He can export the bitumen like he planned to. |
Oluwamarc:You didnt read about Akeredolu lobbying for years about this project? There's some articles from 2017-2019 from him asking FG to establish deep seaport in Ondo. Akeredolu seeks deep seaport in Ondo After another closed-door meeting with the President, Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) told State House correspondents that the state needed the Federal Government to take advantage of the natural resources in the state.

atheistandproud:I agree the program isnt necessary anymore. I feel its just a means for institutions to extract cheap labor from graduates. Lol my favorite example is Kemi Adeosun that produced a fake certificate. She managed to achieve high positions in state and federal government without anyone raising alarm. That's proved these guys dont take vetting process seriously. The politicians should be lobbied into doing so just like they were with not too young to run. It might need a vero proof majority depending on Buhari's opinion on the matter. At least it wont need constitutional amendment from what I glanced. Front page: Lalasticlala mynd44 |
That judgement is odd. I want to see if the supreme court agrees though. If not who needs NYSC. Front page: Lalasticlala |
Badagry project which would been more expensive to embark upon because it lacked the required minimum of 16 meter raft in depth.Ok this was my first guess lets see if they follkw through. The governor been lobbying for this project and weed legislation pretty hard. That's depth will constant dredging like the other shallow ports. It for the best NPA will probably lose millions in arbitration court. |
sky101:Stop electing idiots into state assembly problem solved. They're supposed to write laws to limit executive over reach so they dont act tyrannical. The other solution is LG police. |
