Everyone is focused petty things like rally sizes and coming with sophomoric insults to Candiate names. It amazes me Yemi Kale will get away with not posting important stats. Last time he blamed it government funding. The government knows the population are idiots who couldn't care less about how said policies factually effect the lives. The media and opposition Candiate are too dumb to bring it up themselves aswell. Its honestly amazing the can run this play twice. |
Upworkwriter007:No wonder they stifle the private security industry. The police are essentially running a racket while a crime spree goes on. I'm only surprised the biggest complaint by people is dont hold that womans handbag. |
duro4chang:You mentioned they aren't allowed carry guns. Do you believe they effective without having firearms. If so what do you think laws restricting police protection services would be appropriate? If private security in its current form is a reasonable alternative the police don't need to be guarding theses individuals. |
duro4chang:Looks like we have a genius in the thread. If the police or laws are preventing preventing private security from doing their jobs that's what need to be changed. I'm sure this an issue people complain about but are uninterested in solving. JASONjnr:Lol its hilarious how the police and government are at the center of most issues plaguing society. Im not surprised the hungry police man is being a nuisance. Alot of them state sanctioned criminals in uniform looking who to extort and bully. |
l00l:Still not a counter argument. If guns don't deter criminals then saying allowing private security have guns wouldn't serve as a deterrent. Most people can't afford private security and police clearly aren't protecting them so the guns will be their only option. |
l00l:Not a false example and your point doesn't negate the arguement. Self defense shooting account for alot of gun use. The exact stats vary. |
I do wonder why tax payers have to shell out cash to protect "VIPs"? Tax payers don't owe these individuals any favors. This is especially true when police man power should be deployed to fight crime. What's stopping these rich people from hiring private security guards? Is there nobody providing security services. Are they not allowed to carry the guns around? If the alternative exist people will take it. If the government is smart they should let the private security industry thrive like South Africa. Its clear the police aren't doing a good job tackling crime. Loosening gun ownership restrictions would make it easier for individuals to protect themselves. Its obvious the criminals have access to whatever weapons they want. Its the average person who left suffers while politicians campaign on solving insecurity. front page: Lalasticlala Mynd44 Seun

No respect for private property and no fear of prosecution. Its that simple. I saw a video on whatsapp of people destroying Tinunu's billboard with no mask on. These are just unabashed criminals . |
Just a little Proof for curious minds: ● In the 2019 election The last unemployment stats was published for 2018: ● For this upcoming 2023 election we only have 2020 unemployment numbers. ● The crime stats stopped being published 2017. Now Banditry and insecurity us all that's being discussed. Who knows how people would have voted if they seen the trend. I do wonder why Journalists and Opposition Candiate don't speak on these issues. If they care about the economy and insecurity (crime) they should want verifiable stats on this. How do citizens guage the performance of their leaders if they can't quantify anything? Its all eyes, ears, word of mouth and what u see in the news. History probably going to repeat itself sadly in this regard since Nigerians dont care about data. Front page: Lalasticlala Mynd44

Another Year will pass and nobody will ask where is unemployment and crime states during this election season. If opposition Candiate were intelligent they would attack this issue but they're pretty dull. |
Ijoh:When did u conduct the census? Since you personally did the research go ahead tell the approximate population numbers. |
thebosstrevor1:lol tell me did the unemployment rate increase or decrease under Buhari's current import substitution policies? NBS stats show your solution not to be the answer. You guys have no shame just double down on failed policies.
|
I would consider this virtue signaling just cost cutting measure. Lol The UK did this to themselves because they hate fracking, Nuclear energy and went full retard on green energy agenda. |
grandstar:Men need to take responsibility for their actions. Buhari didn't put a gun to his head. Buhari is boss not your dad he's always free to resign or simply say no risk being fired. What kills me is the clowns here wanting to double down on this stupid policy. Economic illiteracy is a scourge. |
Lol I'm surprised nobody asked the simple questions. Why don't people simply hire private security in Nigeria? Is there nobody providing the service. Are they not allowed to carry the guns around? If the alternative exist people will take it. |
Jostoman:Yawn everyone is evil if they don't agree with you zealot. What a foolish retort. |
2 unions in the same sector can't coexist? lol this means the first to register the union speaks for everyone unionized person in the sector for all time? What happened to freedom of association? What peace has been achieved with 1 union speak for everyone. Why is having multiple such a bad thing?I'd rather have a 100 little fires than 1 huge fire engulfing everyone at the same time. Listen who ever wants to work should work who ever doesn't sit at home. You own yourself and your productivity therefore you right work and associate with whomever you please. “Under the current Labour Law regime in Nigeria, you cannot have two unions or three unions in the same sector. |
Its like asking can you get muscles. The question to ask is are you ready to diet and exercise? In this case the better question to ask is the country willing to copy similar economic policies to get to where they're at? |
lol its crazy how people just do criminal acts on camera and the police don't go arrest them. Last time I checked assault is illegal. We all remember the slapping Senator beat up a woman in the sex shop and the police man did nothing but watch. |
Ebi2233:Only weirdos argue whos larger or smaller then refuse to quantify anything. What sort of useless thread is this? Its obvious nobody knows what the population numbers are considering there has been a census in over a decade. Its all just guesses at this point. |
Afamed:you know the aggregate number of votes don't matter till the 2nd run off. Are u expecting a 3rd round? |
lol its funny how Nigeria works. When it comes to crime rate increasing the police and military are federal so its not Governors fault. When you order police and military to beat civilians the governors suddenly has power. How are both things true at same time? |
verybadmouth:You're supposed to blame the party responsible for the mess. Point out your own mistake doesn't absolve you from responsibility. |
lol so what didn't you give two corrupt Felons pardons? On a serious note if Buhari were smart just give force the university to deal with their customers the students. let them charge what they want for tuition to cover their demands. The current subsides can stay the same or increase the rest is up to them to figure out. |
As far as my contract allows. Why would I do the landlords job. I'm not going to be reimbursed for any of that. |
grandstar:Which unbiased party is going to carry out the investigation? Things like this don't get admitted to until decades after words when the parties involved are long dead. Our grand kids will be reading the declassified documents with us. Just look at the Gulf of Tonkin incident with the United States as reference. They Syrian gas attacks were a more recent one.
|
We have our answer charms dont work. Too bad it was tested on little boy instead of a man. |
Felimax:lol nobody is campaigning on that that I know of. |
safe or save |
muykem:ok point being what. What are they going to do with this building? You're suggesting they buy a building for the sake of it. Is that how responsible people spend money? |
You want them to spend your tax naira to finish a private building? lol you guys either don't pay taxes or have more money than sense. What a weird suggestion assuming your not being sarcastic. |
lol why don't you guys release crime stats quantifying how bad insecurity has become year after year? NVS hasn't done it since 2017. The others were trash since they did not show per 100k stats. They showed aggregate numbers which doesn't adjust for population sizes. The last measure the NBS could improve is actually reported victimization rates by tribe, perpetrator by tribe, and if they're foreigners.
