Ihedinobi3:
As I said in my last answer to you, I cannot answer questions and challenges that have nothing to do with my own arguments to you.

I'm afraid I can't agree with you. My reasons have been stated in my earlier posts. I have addressed Samuel and the issue of death being called "sleep." I would only be repeating myself if I respond to the above here again. So, look at my earlier arguments and ask what questions you want to for clarification or just present what arguments you believe demonstrate any error in them.

Okay, I can work with this.

First, this argument ignores completely the rather incontrovertible fact that it is neither Saul nor the medium that calls the el'ohim that the medium sees coming up out of the earth Samuel. It is the Bible itself that does. That is, the narration says that it was Samuel that spoke to Saul, not that someone told Saul that Samuel was speaking to him. Had it been the medium who called the el'ohim Samuel, we could argue that she deceived Saul. Had it been Saul who was reported as calling it Samuel, we could argue that he deceived himself. But it was the Bible itself that calls it Samuel. This then is all we need to be sure that it was really Samuel who responded to Saul's summons.

Second, it is true that this inquiry cannot have been said to be of the Lord. The Lord was express in forbidding all consultation and dalliance with the world of spirits apart from Him (Leviticus 20:27). So, Saul was not hoping or expecting to hear from the Lord. He was relying on something the Lord completely forbade. But this does not mean at all that the Lord forbade Himself from overriding demonic cons in order to punish a sinning believer. Consider the example of Samson. God forbade sexual immorality and marriage to unbelievers, but Samson was a blatant fornicator and decided that he must have a Philistine wife, and an unbelieving one too. We know from the Scriptures that this was something that God meant to use to pick a fight with the Philistines, but does that mean then that Samson was right to seek such a marriage? Absolutely not. The Lord knows what He is working with (Psalm 103:14), and He makes the perfect use of it. The Lord knew that Saul would go to the medium instead of repenting his rebellion against Him, so He overrode the seance and condemned him to death for his stubbornness through Samuel.

Third, in light of the above, I will respond to your use of Ecclesiastes 9:5. As I said of a similar objection, this life is where we fight, where we choose and confirm our allegiance, whether to the Lord or to Satan. This is the place where we deliberately choose to find, listen to and hear the Truth, learn it, believe it, and help other believers to do the same. Only while we are still alive in this body can we make a choice to do this. After we die, we can no longer choose. What we experience after death is a sealing of our choice. So, there is no "knowledge" after death that counts. After we die, we come face to face with the Truth and can no longer choose to ignore it. So, for example, the rich man in Torments in Luke 16 is not arguing whether God exists or whether the Lord Jesus is the true Savior. Rather he is asking for relief from his torment and for the Truth to be given to his brothers so that they do not end up in Torments with him. The dead can no longer learn, because they can see the Truth clearly with no mortality shielding them from true reality anymore. They can gain no more rewards because they have finished making their choices. Their rewards or lack thereof is now a confirmed matter. Nothing can be added to or taken away from what they have chosen. Their own books are complete. This does not mean that those who died in the Faith know nothing about what goes on on Earth. Samuel obviously knew, and in Revelation, we see that the saints who have gone to be with the Lord have access to the sea of ice before God's Throne through which all those in Heaven can view events on Earth. We are also told in Hebrews 12:1 that those who have already gone to be with the Lord form "a great cloud of witnesses" cheering us on in our own pilgrimage through this world. So, contrary to your argument, the dead do know plenty. But that knowledge is no longer of account to them, since they have already finished making and confirming their own choices here on Earth.

Fourth, as I said, I have already told you about "sleep." I have nothing new to say about that here.
This is the Dumbest crap I have ever read.

You really need to write your own Bible.

It's obvious you don't know what you are saying.

I have asked you a simple question which you cannot explain.

If you knew what you were saying it will take you only 3 or 4 lines to express and explain what you know rather than this lengthy meaningless thing you wrote here.
Christianity Etc › Re: Do Man And Satan Have Immortality? by blueAgent(op):
Note this is copyright, I think this will go a long way to butress my point I don't have time now to compose my response.

King Saul approached the witch of Endor
requesting that she conjure up Samuel. His ruse
was found out but this did not deter him. He
insisted she bring up a spirit; Scripture records
that she complied.
But who was it that Saul spoke to? Did the witch
of Endor conjure up the dead spirit of Samuel?
No. A close reading of the verses involved will
reveal that it was not Samuel. First, notice in
verse 14 that Saul has to ask her to tell him what
she sees and its appearance. Once she informs
him that it's an old man covered with a mantle,
he understands it to be Samuel. Sounds a bit fishy
to me. Secondly, and I believe the greatest
evidence against identifying this apparition as
Samuel, is found in verses 15 and 16. Ironically,
the evidence lies in Saul's own words. Verse 15
records him talking to what he believes is Samuel.
When asked by the apparition why he was
summoned, Saul responds, "God is departed from
me, and answereth me no more, neither by
prophets, nor by dreams." Notice what he said
about prophets. Saul said God does not answer
me by prophets. This apparition replies in verse
16, "Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing
the Lord is departed from thee, and is become
thine enemy."
If God would not answer Saul by prophets, what
made him think he was talking to a prophet? The
apparition all but says, "If God does not answer
you by prophets, then what makes you think you
are speaking to one now?" The fact that Saul
understands that God will not communicate with
him should put us on notice that God would not
do so through a dead prophet, either—not to
mention the fact that according to Scripture, the
dead know nothing and rest in the grave until the
second coming. On the night before his death,
Saul sought council from a witch. This witch of
Endor conjured up an apparition, but it was
certainly not Samuel. Instead, it was a demon.
Again, you might ask, how do you know it was a
demon? A study of the whole Bible will reveal
that it could not have been anything else but a
demon. Unfortunately, I don't have the space in
this blog to study this in-depth. Nevertheless, I'll
give a quick answer that should serve to dispel
the belief that Samuel was brought up from the
dead. First Chronicles 10:13-14 says this about
the death of Saul: "So Saul died for his
transgression which he committed against the
Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which
he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one
that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it; and
enquired not of the Lord: therefore he slew him,
and turned the kingdom unto David the son of
Jesse." According to 1 Chronicles 10:13-14,
whatever the witch of Endor conjured up, it was
not of the Lord. So Saul sought out the spirit of
Satan because he did not get an answer from
God. Because of that, Saul was destroyed.
There are several lessons we can learn from this
story. First, be patient. Don't take things into your
own hands. "Wait on the Lord: be of good
courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:
wait, I say, on the Lord." (Psalms 27:14)
Secondly, demonic forces are not to be trifled
with. "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians
6:12) Finally, never give up on the Lord. Never
think that He will not take you back. Don't
believe the satanic lie that you have gone too far.
The love of God can reach the deepest of seas.
Remember 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he
is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to
cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

ttps://www.ucg.org/bible-study-tools/bible-questions-and-answers/did-the-ghost-of-samuel-appear-to-saul-after-his death.
Did the ghost of Samuel
appear to Saul after his death?
 Add to my study list
o. There are several important scriptures
to consider before we examine the actual
story, recorded in 1 Samuel 28:7-25 . The
first is the verse immediately prior, which
informs the reader that “when Saul inquired of
the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by
dreams or by Urim or by the prophets” ( 1
Samuel 28:6 ). God was refusing to communicate
with Saul through any means, including His
prophets. Samuel, even if he had been still alive,
would have had nothing to tell Saul. From this
we can infer that the “Samuel” who
communicated with Saul was not a prophet of
God speaking from beyond the grave.
Another important passage is in Ecclesiastes 9:5 ,
10, which says plainly that “the living know that
they will die; but the dead know nothing…for
there is no work or device or knowledge or
wisdom in the grave where you are going.”
When we die, we enter a state the Bible likens to
“sleep” ( 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 ), remaining
unconscious until the resurrections at or after
Christ’s return. There is certainly no soul that
lives on, able to communicate with the rest of
the living.
Knowing this, the entity Saul communicated with
could not possibly have been the ghost or spirit
of Samuel, or any other human being. That
leaves only the spirit realm as a possibility—and
given that God had explicitly cut off
communication between Himself (and by
extension, His angels) and Saul (compare 1
Samuel 13:14 ; 28:6 and Isaiah 59:2 ), we are forced
to conclude that the “Samuel” conjured up by the
medium of En Dor was a demonic spirit
masquerading as God’s prophet.
We might ask, “If it was really a demon
communicating with Saul, why did it tell him the
truth?” ( 1 Samuel 28:16-19 ; compare 13:9-14;
15:8-9, 26; 31:2-4). We must remember that the
primary goal of Satan and his demons is to
destroy us. By selectively telling Saul pieces of
the truth, the demon posing as Samuel was able
to depress him to the point where Saul was no
longer able to stand up ( 1 Samuel 28:20 ).
The demon used parts of the truth, while posing
as a man of God, to paint a picture of
hopelessness. “And no wonder! For Satan himself
transforms himself into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also
transform themselves into ministers of
righteousness, whose end will be according to
their works” ( 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 ).

If it is the spirit that is rewarded or if the spirits can live forever, than explain to me why Paul taught the early Christains that the only hope of those who died in Christ is the hope of resurrection which only Christ can offer.

Why would Christains hope for the resurrection when their spirits already have immmortality?

1 Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

Defeated? Defeated how and/or defeated in what exactly please?
How I desperately wish I could say about you, that you know how to read and understand the Bible, but you dont. Those tips, rules 1-6 who've, in a conspicuously and even obviously offensive way, shown contempt for each and all of them, lol.

"First you need to understand that the word spirit when used in the Bible can mean 3 different things *Which are a living being like God, Angels,
*It can mean the mind, will, thought, zeal, imagination
"
- Re: Do Man And Satan Have Immortality? by blueAgent(m): 7:38pm On Nov 17

"How does that explain or mean that the spirit taken by God are still existing?"
- Re: Do Man And Satan Have Immortality? by blueAgent(m): 11:15pm On Nov 19

Please sir, Mr "you have been defeated just accept the fact", here are a few simple, easy, direct and straightforward questions for you to "conqueringly" answer, lol:
1/ What, between the spirit and the soul, is going to be judged, lol?
2/ If as you claimed, that the spirit is the mind, will, thought, zeal, imagination, then give similar, what the soul is please, lol
3/ What is the distinction or set of distinctions marking the difference between our closely related soul and spirit, lol?
4/ 1 Corinthians 15:45? What to your understanding of that verse, is the glaring difference, in first man named Adam and last Adam's spirits, lol?
It's obvious you did not read the article you just jumped into the argument .

You can refer back to the OP to understand what a Soul is.

His salvation.

it was not written that Mr Satan will turn to ashes maybe from your own Bible version. I asked you a simple question that the parable of rich man and Lazarus why did Jesus pinpointed the life of that rich man even after his death? if the spirit will not live forever!
You called it a parable and you are still asking why Jesus pinpointed the life of the rich man.

Even if we take that story literally it still does not prove that Spirits live forever rather it proves that it is the body that is cast into Hell because Jesus taught his disciples that spirits don't have flesh,Bones and tongues..
Luke 24:39

The logic is to help you gain consciousness! cheesy

Because you've been spewing gibberish all this while claiming you want to refute TRINITY, you can't find any religious group that will agree with your argument, there is just one single global group that's having a unique form of teaching, they've debunked TRINITY and they're up and doing in preaching and teaching throughout the earth.

Instead of you to humble yourself and learn from them how they're able to refute TRINITY, you're trying to fault their teaching with useless arguments, now they claim that members of this unique group having the same line of thought are numbering over 8,500,000 globally you shamelessly switch over to support your fruitless argument that other (TRINITY adherents who aren't united in thought) also number 59,000,000.

So if you feel that the divided 59,000,000 are actually fit to stand in contrast to the 8,500,000 who are united in thought, then why doubting the TRINITY that has brought the 59,000,000 together?
Are you now saying God is using you to correct the 59,000,000 (who will never abandon their TRINITY God for you)?

My friend STOP DECEIVING YOURSELF!

It's either you continue worshiping TRINITY with your Church or join Jehovah's Witnesses the only group against TRINITY or better still open your own worship center, there is no other option Sir! cheesy
Stop confusing yourself JW is not recognized by God according to the word of God they are Anti-Christ.

Who is the liar but the one who denies
that Jesus is the Christ? This is the

By this you know the Spirit of God:
every spirit that confesses that Jesus

Jehovah's people are used to enlightenment Sir!

Our understanding about God's purpose and his will has been on the increase since the time of Abel till date. If you check your copy of the Bible and read with meditation, you will realise that in every generation God's people learn new ways of doing things. The only thing that distinguish us from pagans is the fact that we all are ever willing to adapt to the new system, while pagans will stick to whatever their human founders laid down for them as if they mustn't improve in their understanding, and to worsen it all they will still accommodate those whose religious ideas are outdated plus those bringing new ideas so as not to step on toes!

We are Jehovah's Witnesses!

We move together as an organization, so don't think we're going to stop in our learning new things, it's when we finally get to God's kingdom that each of us will stop learning from the organization and start having direct dealing with God personally, but until then we must continue moving together as a family most especially in this time that all of you are confused as to how to worship God acceptably! wink
Ironically this your comment suits and fits your church JW,
Let me ask you how is JW different from pagans when both of them deny Jesus?

Exodus 31:3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 31:4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,

1 Chronicles 5:26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, and the spirit of Tilgathpilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, even the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, and brought them unto Halah, and Habor, and Hara, and to the river Gozan, unto this day.

Numbers 11:25 And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

Where in the Bible is it written that Samuel appeared to Saul?

1 Samuel 28:13 And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 28:14 And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.

I have reasonable(s) to contribute, but then someone, might just again, make a hurtful remark, call what others like me, reasonable contribute, crap. C'est la vie. Such is life, that's life. lol. Fyi, certain distractions, protects others, from other distractions, besides that, a single distraction is much and far better than millions, lol.

Your naivety is beyond redemption.

Only God create , that's true you just proved me right because Jesus created all things which means Jesus is God by nature.

Colossians 1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

The question is can any Angel or Man create anything?

Please explain to me what this Bible verse means. the wages of sin death.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. 1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1 John 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Please explain to me why Sodom and Gomorrah is still not burning since they were burnt with eternal fire.

Luke 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 2 Peter 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; Jude 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

When God comes to judge, each of us can stand to explain himself! cheesy
In the next 5yrs or so this your church doctrines and prophecies will be proven to be false like every other false teaching your church has done in the past.

My friend, the TRUTH is undeniable.

FRUSTRATION comes when you're trying to establish what is not true or when you're battling to refute what is obvious to all eyes!

So keep arguing on social media with your TRINITY friends, i believe i've made myself clear enough on the stand of my global family! wink
That's your logic not my.

you were the one that keeps insisting that JW are the best because they have large numbers who love peace and feel like a happy family.

instead of you to judge your standing with God using God's defined standard which is his word you are here creating another standard.

Hmmmmmmmmm!

Now you see where we've been having issues all these while! smiley

@bolded, is a big problem that we both need to solve first before we can understand each other!

God never created humans for heavenly life! Psalms 115:16

Earth is our permanent home! Genesis 1:27-28

And God is willing to help us stay alive on it FOREVER! Isaiah 25:8, Psalms 37:7-11, 29

So Jesus' mission on earth is to first of all gather the fittest of men and train them to be his corulers over the earth! Luke 12:32

From Abel till today God's heavenly host has been working tirelessly to gather obedient ones amongst the descendants of Adam for everlasting life on earth! Hebrew 11:4-32

Heavenly life belongs ONLY to a limited number of humans selected amongst the Christians (those who have received training from the Prince of Peace), he promised them that they'll be with him where he lives before coming to the earth! John 14:1-4

There subjects must be ORGANIZED adequately in an orderly manner as a global family of peace loving worshippers! Isaiah 2:1-4 John 17:20-23

That's why i've been maintaining that you shouldn't expect perfection from them, because Jesus will continue to coordinate them for another 1000 years after all unbelievers might have been exterminated! Revelations 20:5-6

Notice that the first set to be resurrected from the death will never die again and they will serve as priests and kings with Jesus (in heaven).

But countless number of OBEDIENT humans (including resurrected faithful servants of God and those who only lived by conscience) will be on earth receiving training through an ORGANIZED system until the end of 1000 years, whoever refused to accept the discipline set by Jesus will not have his name WRITTEN for everlasting life {Revelations 20:15} because it's the born again Christians whose number is 144,000 that's going to work with the angels in heaven to get people's names written!

That's why Jesus said the judgment will be based on our cordiality and support for the born again Christians (Jesus' brothers) Matthew 25:31-46

That's why i kept insisting that everything is gradually working out as planned, anyone reading the Bible and giving any other interpretation now after witnessing the emergence of this arrangement needs to be careful otherwise he will loose everlasting life!

The only sign God is giving all honest hearted and sincere humans is the group amongst whom the 9 qualities of God's holy spirit has becomes obvious, any law you're quoting against them is useless {Galatians 5:22-23} as long as they're forging ahead with God's will (plan).
Am not here to argue on whether Earth or heaven is man's final abode.

What matters to me now is for you to tell me what qualifies you or anyone to receive that reward of eternal life weather in Heaven or Earth?

The greatest blessing in the world is being a blessing, and being happy for others, when you see God's blessing in them, the way you see God's blessing in you. Blessed, are they who see wow factor things, in humble places, where other people see nothing.

A clear and innocent conscience, normally is worried of nothing and wouldnt ask, what will happen, so, lol, nothing will happen, if you have any regards for yourself my dear nwanne friend, you respect yourself, mind your language, your tone and watch that acid tongue of yours, but especially, since you have been served and given an advanced warning, if you do then "fariga, with axe put over head" still insist in continuing to toe the undisciplined line and not tame your unbridled tongue with me, then I would have no choice, than to, with a lack of courtesy, roughly and abruptly expose you for what you are and that from what I've seen in all this. You know that, nothing wey miguard, no dey see for gatehouse. Nothing wey vigilante, no dey see for midnight.
[/quoa

You don't fail to amaze me.

You can go ahead with your threat to expose yourself because me I have nothing to hide.
