Did I mention anything Igbo or hausa here. The president conveyed a meeting and all that you mentioned was addressed! I remember when some ritualists were killing people in ikorodu area of Lagos, the state government did wait on federal government to flush them out. He tackled it decisively, what exactly are the state governments doing to secure there states? Government is not just one tier, every tier has to contribute their quota to make it a success
Typical APC supporters.
Are the state governors responsible for the current inflation, insecurity and dollar crisis ?

Nothing was said. We are talking of immediate actions Tinubu is talking about increasing food production. From where?
In every challenge solutions come in the form of short term, medium term and long term solutions.
In the short term we may import to augment what is available. There is no food anywhere in Nigeria to increase production.
In the medium term and long term create and provide credit to verifiable farmers. In the long term train farmers and plan for mechanised farming on a large scale. States that are willing to provide land especially from states of origin of most herders provide ranches and ban open grazing. Provide security to farmers.
This is why we want at least HND holders as our leaders.

Well said.

Nigerians like running around in circles avoiding the real issues. When we had parliamentary system we failed, we tried presidential, it has failed…what is the common denominator…..Nigerians! Every time we have an election they want to amen the electoral act, we have one of the best in the world but they still want to amend, what is the common denominator….Nigerians. We have all sorts of laws but the country does not work, what is the common denominator……Nigerians! We had regional government, the same people who abolished it are the ones calling to regional government 60 yrs later. We had secession clause, the same people that opposed it are the ones calling for referendum.

We can a,mend laws and systems all we like but we can’trun away from ourselves. When we are ready to deal with our real issues…..our Nigerian traits, our Pysche, they should let us know.

Oga the main difference is that in the parliamentary system, a new election can be called anytime a vote of no confidence is served on a prime Minister but can't be done in the Presidential system where the executive rules till the end of his tenure.

Another major difference is the lack of a constitution.

In the Parliamentary system, a flawed and rigged election can always be corrected by calling for new elections at anytime so no need for going to the Election petition tribunal
You keep repeating the same thing, while missing the elephant in the room.
Let me ask you, let's assume we are in a parliamentary system, with APC winning majority seats in Parliament
and Tinubu became the prime minister,
Do you think or believe that the APC members would declare vote of no confidence in Tinubu?

Please be honest with your response

If you say the military will suspend the parliamentary system like Aguiyi Ironsi did in 1966, then I will agree with you. But as long as the parliamentary system of government is at place, with no military coup, the sky is our limit.

Liberia's democracy did not last like that of America because the Liberian citizens DO NOT OWN GUNS. Emphasis on 'GUNS' AND WEAPONS '.

Why do you think the Democrats wants to disarm Americans.? Cos they want to destroy the American democracy just as Democracy in Africa have been destroyed and bastardised for the last 50 years.

But you can't destroy Americas democracy if you have armed citizens threatening you with guns and weapons at every turn. The American soldiers are great but they are a tiny fraction of American population who have 4 times more guns than their soldiers combined.

Make no mistake, the day the Americans lose their first amendment rights to own guns is the day they lose their democracy. If they protest they will be gunned down like the Lekki massacre and nobody will do anything about it.

Just imagine that the Lekki protesters had guns and weapons like the Americans. Those soldiers would have dare not shoot at them or they will face the consequences of restaliatiin immediately

Hope you saw the Black lives matter protests of 2020? Did you see how weapons where freely used and the American police couldn't handle them? Thata how real protests are done. That's why American politicians don't treat their citizens as shit like in Africa.

Before the white man came here, in Igbo land, all Igbos were armed with guns. Igbos had the highest number of guns then. The first thing the British did was to confisticate all those guns even before they started imposing taxes. From that time till now, the Igbo Republican spirit, protected by their weapons, have become utterly destroyed.

FREEDOM IS BEST PROTECTED BY ARMED CITIZENS
My brother what works in the west, does not work here.
We are wired differently.
Parliamentary system is expensive and leads to frequent interruption of governance.

South Africa practices the Presidential system of government. And their country will continue its downward trend as long as they don't have weapons and guns to protect their democracy like the Americans.

The Presidential system of government is useless without Armed citizens to protect their rights and freedoms
What's the major difference between presidential and parliamentary? Apart from power been vested in the legislative assembly in Parliamentary, while in presidential, power is vested in the executive.
My argument is that Nigerian political class are so greedy and united in corruption and bad leadership.
They would never impeach any leader, who faours them.

There are other countries that practices presidential system without the citizens having access to arms, and they are doing well, eg France, Germany, Belgium, Mexico.

I suggest you list the studies of the matter. I've given you instances but you need to compare the Nigeria of the first Republic Parliamentary system of government and see how low we have sunk under successive governments
Remember than we just had independence from Greay Britain, we were still influenced by western values and principles.
Just like in SouthAfrica ,After the apartheid, things were still done relatively well, but as time went on the country continued its downward trend.

They will be recalled and new elections immediately conducted to replace them.

Sure you know Israel did 3 elections in one year in 2020??

That's the beauty of the parliamentary system of government. It is simply the Best
You still don't get it.

Israel ppl are not as corrupt as Nigerians.
Liberia had independence in1845 from US, they adopted US constitution, flag and ideas, yet 170years after Liberia is a 3rd world country with little or no rule of law.
The issue is not , about having laws or systems in place, of course it helps but , the most important thing is ppls attitude, both followers and leaders towards obeying the law.
Do you think tribal and religious sentiments, would allow some tribes to call back their representatives, know the implications on their tribal man, who is the prime minister?

Our governors are the biggest problem we have, they do close to nothing. Building roads and bridges is not work, a 100level student given the finances can award contracts to build infrastructure, our governors don't control security apparatus, they don't lobby for investment into their states, they don't protect businesses in their environs, they don't control mineral resources. WHAT PRODUCTIVE THING EXACTLY DO OUR GOVERNORS DO?
Since Tinubu became president, their allocation have increased, what are they doing with these resources. A citizen is more likely to build prosperity under a working governor than a working president. It is agreed that our constitution ties cuts off one of the arms of a governor, but what about the other arm?
Did Tinubu do any of those things you mentioned, when he was a governor?
