TrebleChamp: ![]() Just dey play. Israel just dey do empty boasting ni jare; it's from a place of pain When all of these uproar calm down the lady will move on, knack any man she wan knack and nothing go do am. |
TrebleChamp: ![]() Just Dey play ! Let them mandate DNA for women from those places u mentioned and u will be surprised that they cheat as much as their counterparts from other parts of the country |
TrebleChamp:Na poverty still dey make those kind culture exist in some parts of the country . U will notice that people who hail from that same part of the country who are very much well-to-do and most likely living in the city would not even consider such traditions when a family member dies. It's only families domiciled in the village with struggling relatives that keep such obnoxious traditions alive . Imagine when Wunmi Obe's brother ( the son of Chief Olu Aboderin the founder of punch newspapers) who was married to Stella Damasus died ; make person come dey tell Stella Damasus that she must marry one of her husband's relatives. Smh. |
TrebleChamp:Baba, making it optional is a trap in itself; it's a manipulative scheme. If the woman decides not to marry the late husband's male relative; the late husband's family will simply see her as evil and this hate will transcend down to the society at large. A woman widow will have no choice but to succumb to the emotional blackmail except she's a really really strong-willed woman who is determined to damn all consequences. Like u agreed with me, there are just so many obnoxious traditions that should be trashed |
TrebleChamp:I know the tradition exists but I think it's obnoxious in this age and time. It's a tradition that tramples on the rights of the women folk. Okay why didn't they balance it off and allow a widower to pick a new wife from his late wife's family ? |
Theflint1:A tradition that compels u to remarry from ur late husband's family is not only harmful but evil. So the woman is expected to mate with the borther of her late husband whom she's come to see as her own brother ? Even the mental health aspect of it is enough for it to be abolished . |
Theflint1:Na fooolish tradition wey no make sense . Although I know the news is false and the publisher will soon be on his heels for fabricating this kind fake news about Betty the fiery queen . |
iamoyindamola:He's the only natural replacement for Saka . It will be unfair if Jesus starts at RW ahead of Nelson . We go manage am like that noni |
Kiwior rested , Saka rested, Martinelli rested and Jorginho rested

hensben:So It was team performance that made Bellingham excel at Dortmund and still making him excel at Real Madrid abi? ![]() U've got jokes bro |
hensben:In ur initial post on this matter u literally said Palmer is better than Bellingham. After small probing u agreed Bellingham was actually better. Now u are saying Bellingham is only better because of his team's position(whatever that means) and not because of his individual performance. Bellingham is literally England's best player at the moment. Let Palmer continue with his fine form and he will get opportunity to prove himself at the national team level. |
mostob:The bold is the long & short of the whole thing. It's expectations that's making him start the "we played to draw" agenda |
larride:He is just a fooolish son to a wise father |
Spy360:U need to first go and see the set-up/line-up of Man city Vs Loserpool and then check the set-up/Lineups of Man city Vs Arsenal. U will see the set-up's were different. Arteta is not a foool to be hoping city will play like Luton and allow themselves to be played out of the match. It's funny to see u assume Arteta didn't know he can win city until towards the end of the match ![]() Who told u that was not his plan form the onset? |
Spy360: ![]() Unfortunately, football is not boxing. As for ur Last paragraph, that is what is expected. Nobody expected Arsenal to play high line, press high and pass from the back against city. Maybe u did sha |
A part of Landmark is going down to pave way for the Coastal high recently announced.

Ellexy:Toronaga is a cunning tactician and not a brute. If he was known for his brute force he would've lost his head since. He's walked himself out of near death situations. I believe we will see him in battle soon |
iamoyindamola:He died by dashing his head on the rock when he slipped in a pond/mini jacuzzi. He wanted to kill his father's half-brother who had betrayed the father and was to take the father to the capital to surrender. The good side of his death is the father will become more ruthless in his scheming's now that he doesn't have the burden of a weak-ass son to carry anymore |
izzou:It just looked as if the boy was just destined to die from day one. He just doesn't fit into that Toranada family. |
izzou:Mariko's husband don go report say he no like the way Anjin dey look him wife . Toranada asked if he's officially accusing his wife of infidelity? Baba quickly retrace his step and withdrew the implied accusation.Toranada asked Mariko after her husband left if there was anything between her and Anjin and she said nothing beyond what he instructed her to do. She come carry manipulation enter the game by requesting that Toranada free her of her misery by ordering her to commit seppuku. Baba declined her request sha. Toranada's son that u called for his papa to kill don finally die. His stupidity disguised as bravery killed him eventually. He wanted to prove to himself by killing his father's half brother, but he slipped in the pond and knack his head on a big rock. |
First a partner in Wole Olanipekun's chambers was charged with misconduct sometimes back and she had to quit the law profession sometimes around last year or two years ago if I remember correctly. Now Wole Olanipekun's name is being enmeshed in bribe-giving allegations with an EFCC case. https://www.nairaland.com/8050115/offem-uket-efcc-sacks-prosecutor One may ask where is the connection in two cases; it may seem far fetched but the connection is right there. The first case was involving Sapiem Nigeria and Rivers state govt. The rivers state government alleged fraud to the tune of $130m on the part of Sapiem and the Case being handled by Henry Ajumogobia for Sapiem. Now Wole Olanipekun's partner wrote a letter to Sapiem asking them to appoint them as the defence lawyer while discarding the services of Ajumogobia their current lawyer. Read carefully an excerpt of the letter I believe that you need a more influential lawyer/law firm to prevent a potential huge payout to the Rivers State Government and without a doubt, I believe that my law firm, Wole Olanipekun & Co., can help in this regardAjumogobia was livid, he petitioned their professional body for this misconduct and Wole Olanipekun's partner took the fall for it (since she authored the letter) and her principal disowned her. Now EFCC is claiming one of their prosecutors may have collected bribe from Wole Olanipekun (the defense lawyer on the Malabu oil scandal) to sabotage their case against the suspects. Things dey happen for this country o. |
hensben:Since u agree he's better, then why do u have issues with the coach selecting the better player? |
Semid4lyfe please we need ur attention here. We have a case of derailment in this thread over issues that do not concern the purpose of this thread. |
izzou:Hmmm.... That's one theory sha. I guess we need to see their full budgets to know what is taking more allocation than education. For example we've once discussed how Obaseki didn't do much construction and the roads being in shambles. Maybe na this 2024 him day break and he decided to pump funds into capital road projects. Soludo too has been talking tough on construction ; so he may be matching talk with allocation |
GloriousGbola:I think u are missing the whole point of CAN's protest. CAN as a body understood the message FIRS was passing(which was a harmless one), but CAN is concerned that the message can be subject to different interpretations. CAN also believe FIRS is a non-religious organization and should remain one by not involving itself in a matter that can be seen to offend the sensibilities of one religious group or another. FIRS did really well with their apology with excerpt below and in my opinion that should be the end of the matter instead of trying to draw comparison between two religious group as to which is more tolerant. FIRS, as a responsible agency, has no religion and will not bring down any religion or offend the sensibilities of adherents of various faiths in the country. Our goal is to assess, collect and account for revenue for the wellbeing of the Federation. We believe it is an investment in the progress of the country when citizens pay their taxes. Once again, we wish to apologise to CAN and Christians who felt offended at the unintended consequence of our message on Easter Sunday. |
izzou:Maybe because most indigenes would rather learn a trade(which most of them are successful at ) than go through the formal education route to earn a living. So the state cut their budget to only cater for the few people interested in formal education |
Itsrm:Hmmmm. This country no dey understand person again. IPMAN and NLC kept speaking on behalf of the government and Dangote; instead make dem correct the wrong impression they allowed it to go on for as long as possible since it serves their agenda. I sha know that when Dangote's PMS eventually hit the market people will see that they've been living a dream concerning reduction in pump price |
zeusis:Okay, u are right. Thanks for the correction |
Itsrm:It's only a matter of time before propaganda fall on its face. I don't know why governments in Africa find it difficult to tell their people the truth for what they are. If our investment as a country into Dangote refinery is just for federal government to be shareholder that earns dividend from a private company, the government should just come out and admit it. All of these propaganda here and there about PMS or AGO price reducing should be quashed. Let's know federal government is not involve in this joint venture to bring down price of petroleum products. |
Eunoiaa:Okay. If u would keep being like this by bringing unnecessary derailing to the thread (over issues we don't know and do not care about how it started elsewhere) ; I believe the regulars will do well to report ur posts as spam/derailment to the mods going forward. |
hensben:How are they equal in goal involvement? Bellingham currently has 30 G/A and Palmer has 20G/A this season. How did 20 cancel 30 out ? ![]() Before u say 10 is not much, just know that some attackers even struggle to get 10 G/A in a season |
GloriousGbola:I didn't say rich like private businessmen who invested their wealth of experience, family/generational wealth, etc into the private sector to make money for themselves and co-investors. I said political office holders who obviously get into political office just to help themselves to tax payers money. People who don't face hardship but apportion hardship allowances to themselves steady because they can |
