How do you mean that men are like that? What a fallacy of generalization; Should I see a lady doing a particular thing then I say women are like that?

cathodekazim:
Group sues Buhari, seeks to halt ministers’ inauguration

Nigerian youths under the aegis of Youth Concerns Realisation Initiative have filed a suit seeking to stop President Muhammadu Buhari from inaugurating the 36 recently-cleared ministers.

The members of the group are protesting against the non-inclusion of youths among the ministers-designate.

Media officer of the initiative, Ms. Blessing Luka, who spoke on behalf of the group at a press briefing in Abuja, on Monday, said it was now clear that the administration has no intention of giving Nigerian youths a chance.

She expressed regret that politicians across party lines had formed the habit of using youths during elections and dumping them afterwards.

She said, “We at YCRI have filed an action in suit No FHC/ABJ/773/2015. We expected to see youths among the President’s 36 nominees sent to the Senate but we were disappointed to see no youth in the list.

“For this reason, we have gone to court to ask for an injunction to restrain the President from inaugurating them until they give the youths a sense of belonging.

“This matter was filed on Friday October 30, 2015. What we are simply asking is that they (ministers-designate) should not be inaugurated or assigned portfolios.”

Luka stressed that it would be a total disservice to the nation for youths who formed the bulk of Nigeria’s population to be left out of the decision-making process.

According to her, Nigerians youths had restrained themselves from resorting to self-help, hence their decision to seek legal redress.

Was the term youth used in the constitution as regards appointment of ministers?

Hero10001:
you may be right but you are wrong.
I've got both debit card types and i'm talking from experience.
With Visacard, you'll need an ipin for any online transaction while with Mastercard, OTP is certain.
visa card ipin is different to the normal visa card pin just as otp is not a mastercard's pin, gerrit?
Please do not argue. Let me enlighten you where you got it wrong.

Mastercard and Visa introduced a security code which is called Securecode for Mastercard and ipin for Visa card. Now, SecureCode does not come to your phone, it is a password secretly known to you generated by processes that vary from bank to bank while Ipin is being done at ATM's. OTP means One-time-Password which could be in soft mode of hardware. You can either generate OTP with an Hardware or you receive it via sms, this also vary from bank to bank with different limits. For example Stanbcibtc uses SMS OTP, while Zenith and most banks uses SMS OTP and Hardware.

As I have said OTP is used in authorising either a cash transaction or a non-cash transaction. Example of cash transaction is using your card online or internet banking transfer of funds, a noncash transaction could be like adding a beneficiary to your internet banking.

I hope my explanation is clear enough. If you've got both cards and experience, I'm also happy to bring to your notice that I have managed ATM cards when I was at intercontinental bank(Defunct). I also have all the cards and have internet banking for all my accounts which I use day in day out. I am a staunch supporter of cashless transactions. Please take correction.

It will also interest you to know that SecureCode is being disable on use of MasterCard which I think same goes for Visa card to be using OTP always. Policy keeps changing.

Cheers

OTP is exclusive to mastercard, Visa uses ipin.
Op was robbed by a friend or a family member.
Point of correction, OTP is not exclusive to MasterCard, or visa. OTP is simply for transaction verification, which could either be a cash or non-cash transaction. Internet banking also uses OTP to authorise any activity.

JAZES:
One of our readers sent this in and i think its very important that you all go through it so that you dont fall victim too because this is to real for someone not to fall victim. Kindly read below:

“From a friend……..Good morning
Please read this carefully, it may save you a few hundred, or a few thousand, or may be a few million bucks. It’s a personal experience, a true event that happened this afternoon. I am Sunday Adewole, I just fell victim of fraudsters a few hours ago. I am an account holder with StanbicIBTC bank, I am trying to put fund together to pay for my daughter’s tuition fee in CU in which case the institution already resumed last week. Yesterday afternoon, I got a call from somebody purportedly from StanbicIBTC who said “Am I speaking with Dr. Adewole” (called out my other names) to which I answered in the affirmative. He said he called in respect of my BVN which I was observed not to have done, I replied that I already had it done with Skye bank and he said the bank will send me a link so that my account with Stanbic will be linked with the BVN. True to our conversation, I receive a message from StanbicIBTC in which an OTP was sent to my phone. A few minutes later, he called to ask if I got the the SMS, I told him yes but I can’t do anything about it cos I was driving. He said no problem I should call out the numbers which I did and he thanked me for my cooperation in a customer service manner. I heard nothing since then till this afternoon at precisely 13:00 hrs when I received a SMS from StanbicIBTC informing me of a debit transaction which cleared my account to the lowest thousand, i.e. I was left with a paltry N685 (six hundred and eighty five naira). I called my account officer who confirmed to me that I have fallen victim of fraudsters and he checked up on my account and saw that the recipient acct is in First Bank. My puzzle is how did they get my account details? How were they able to generate an OTP to my phone. I am waiting to see what my bank would do on it. In the mean time, please be aware of what the 419 people can do. I’ll keep you posted on any new development.”

lala, kindly put this out there to keep people informed. Thanks
When it comes to hybrid scamming(Physical, OTA, Electronically) that involves the owner one way other other, the success depends greatly on the lack of knowledge of the owner. This is why I get pissed off when some individuals thinks they need a schooling IT skill to be able to detect such. You said you do not know how you got the OTP, but the truth is you had an inclination of possible fraud and you never take heed by ensuring that all i's and t's in the said OTP SMS is genuine. Moreso, no bank will initiate and call you several times on an issue without you being the first to raise the issue. No bank will send a link to you and call you if you have seen the link. Also most people do not even know what a domain is not to talk of identifying a suspicious domain. For example, Stanbic's email domain is StanbicIBTC.com and you received email from StanbicIBTCbank.com which is the web domain. When receiving correspondences details needs to be confirmed. When such number called you, the first thing to do was to verify such number by visiting their sites or through anyother means. Again, which bank will be calling customers fro BVN.

In my opinion, why you were a victim because you did not think like a criminal. I think like a criminal every day when it comes to sensitive issues. I can also assume your gullibility from your post by mentioning your name and where you bank, you should have at least use a decoy name. You even gave them your OTP which should always be exclusive to you. Haba, no bank will ask you for that.

Best way to avoid being scammed is to learn to think like a criminal bearing the required knowledge. Do not snub a knowledge because it won't bring money to you, but absorb, for it may save you in the feature.

Cheers

My advice, to you, is that you should take safety first by getting another accommodation and then secretly inform your former landlords wife to be vigilant over the two to see things for herself. If you do not tell her, you are not helping either of the three because the husband and your friend might remain unrepented and your landlords wife might have being repaid with backstabbing.

Dear Rapmoney,

Kindly be aware that your points of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering are totally wrong!

You do not study those course to change engine oil or "common" lamp holder. It's a task anyone can lay their hands on. That sounds to me like "you study telecom Engineering but can't fix a broken phone"

But you're half baked Engineering grad if you don't know anything about safety. Let's start here.
Hey, Ramponey could have a point, Yes Mech & Elect Eng is not about changing oil but we do have a good number of them who common apprenticeship mechanics swindles day in day out. But the truth must be said that most of our engineering graduates lack innovation engineering. I studied Business Admin but I can lay my hands on anything engineering, mech, telecom, I can scatter and rearrange my car engine, repair a phone do simple website management, creative designs...

Any graduate who can not explore and develop auxiliary skills is by the way.

Next time sir, you will know how to control your 'konji'.
Why just judging the guy, where is the mothers blame like say e use juju for am. She should also pour hot water on her mother for bleeping her husband. Which suffering, I don't know why you guys always play the pity game. Do you know how many men who also suffer in silence, abi because they don't run to press the way women do. I begi. Good and Bad is shared across both genders. Do you know the amount of sexual harassment from females we have on our streets every day. Please both the guy and the mum has erred so she must bathe the mum with hot water as well otherwise she serves jail term.

The Aburi accord was supposed to be consultation. Gowon threw it away the moment he got into Nigeria.
The time for consultation were well OVER.
The japanese, and chinese wars were hugely instrumental in the creation of their true nationhoods. Yes, it was regrettable, but they discovered themselves after their respective wars.
USSR shrank from within due to injustice and poor economy. America only added fuel to the fire.
If america could invade the soviet union without severe casualties, they would have long before its collapse.
You see, the wars were regretted meaning there could have been a better way. Moreover, Let me give you a clear example of if the Yorubas want to fight that they would win. Do you know that during the Biafran war when Muritala was approaching Onitsha, he was employing boldness and stubbornness of conquering or die failing instead to yield to the advice of the National council. It was the advice given by the then member of the supreme council Major-General James Olululeye that helped Muritala after he killing all his men. You can read about him. Yoruba's have guts but no battle can be won with just guts. Know when to fight, Know when to move

Of course, we were conquered, just like 20% of the world.Unlike yorubas, We didn't open our legs for british ramming immediately the british got off the ships.
If you know that was the best way, why did Igbos not fight with weapons for independece rather than consultations. Let me tell you, those who rush into fight end up losing unnecessarily. Do you think USA just went into world power battle suddenly? Where is Germany and Greece that lacked diplomacy, Where did Japan led themselves to because they Lack diplomacy including China like wise Russia. USA did not just use Warheads but gave room for Diplomacy before deploying their warheads. USA used diplomacy majorly to shrink USSR. My guy go and learn.

If those people were yoruba, they would still be under british control till today still looking for ''strategy''.
No wonder the yorubaland was the most easiest of british conquest in the south. Even the IKA posed a greater resistance.
So much for the oyo ''empire''.
Do you know the difference between a foolish man and a wise man. There are one million ways to the market and if you do not know, you do extreme consultation before confrontation; It is only a stupid man that confront without consultation. If your point is justified can you please tell me how you got into Nigeria if you were not conquered. Your forefathers should have refuted that they do not want to b part of Nigeria.

There is something called taking a stand and fighting to death.
It is a concept many nations that attained true independence had to practise. Something the yoruba nation has no knowledge of.
The cowardice and treachery of the yoruba is masked as strategy.
