Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How I Chose The Wrong Job by Bluffly: 6:53pm On Feb 21, 2021 |
wunmi590: I just want a lot of people to learn from my experience look before you leap.
I got 3 employment letter last year, and to resume the same day. Two on the mainland and one on the island.
One of the two on the mainland has a better salary than the other two, so I went for the better salary, as an upcoming father.
But believe me I didn’t know that they were only using money to entice people and then tell them to leave at their own time.
I received the shocking of my life when I opened my mail on Thursday to do a handover to a colleague on Friday last week.
I couldn’t cry, but I just had to hold back my tears and I brought out my phone and looked at my 2month old baby and moved on.
My advice, please don’t be in a rush to chose a job or switch that job and lastly always be prayerful that God should direct your path.
That was how I lost the 3 jobs Next time seek spiritual guidance to select instead of using your judgement. |
Education › Re: Why Do Nigerian Universities Charge Ridiculous Amount For Transcripts? by Bluffly: 8:24pm On Feb 19, 2021 |
What you apply for after schooling in Nigeria is called Statement of Result. And it is for you. Schools in abroad call it Student copy of transcript. Everytime you apply for admission, good schools require you to order fresh transcripts from all the higher institutions you have attended. Simple as ABC.
You are right, applying for transcript in public Nigerian schools is not easy. However, private schools may be easy. My suggestion is that you get your WES equivalency for all your degrees and stop going to those useless schools. Do the wahala one time and start sending your transcripts from the comfort side of your bedroom.
Then, pray to God to bless you so you dont study again in Nigeria. It is not worth it. Even you lose your certificate in Nigerian public schools, they willl not replace it. Lol. What a funny way of life!!!
Goodluck! WES expires after 5 years. |

gaeul: I can't help but ask why Nigeria Universities charge ridiculous amounts for Transcripts. Imagine Uniben Charging 35,000naira to send a transcript to an email address while a UK University is charging below 10,000naira to send it via post.
Indeed, there was a country! Corruption and inhumanity |

farous: I have severally educate my Househelp on the dangers of making or answering phone calls in the kitchen when cooking using Gas cylinder and that she should never try it but desist from it to avoid explosion.
Unfortunately she seems to pay deaf ear over it as this morning I saw her answering calls right inside the kitchen while cooking using the Gas cylinder and I was so upset that if I had not hold myself and control my anger I would have used an object and beat her mercilessly. This is a family with children and I don't want to give devil chances. She is so stubborn that most times (not only this Gas matter) telling her not to do something is like pouring water on the stone and such attitude upsets me.
Please what should I do?. Send her packing and get another |

Even the task force are employed touts with no education, selfworth and forthrightness. |

SpecialAdviser: Lolz. Where is unity in all these?
This is a time Yorubas should be united and not this divided. The North surely enjoys such disunity.
Yorubas are seriously divided on this issue of Fulani herdsmen with different tunes.
There should not be any division in a scenario where foreigners are seizing people's lands, raping and kidnapping people with daily slaughter. Such disunity is not needed. There must be disagreement to agree |

This woman as you said she may have borrowed the money to start the business, may be she is the bread winner in her family like you know how Nigeria is, one person taking care of the whole family without any help, and in results of their wickedness subject other innocent human beings to poverty, the government it self is not helping matters at all to borrow money to start something is a hard difficult task in this country unlike other climes how can we not be having so many criminals? Way out of this menace is infrastructural and human development but unfortunately, we dont have leaders. |
