Supposing we are discussing open matters like women wearing trousers, you can have an opinion. But on matters of idol worshipping, the Bible already provided an answer. We are not to bow down to graven images. You can't be forming opinions over something so straightforward.

The mistake we make is thinking that faith is the keyword. Idol worshippers have faith in their idols and it works for some of them. Does it make them qualified to make heaven? Of course, not. Even if you have strong faith, but break God's commandments at will, you are in danger.

This is clearly idol worshipping and it is a sin because there is only one God and He has always shown His hate for idols.

First of all, touching a graven image is different from touching a TV for healing. Those who touch their TVs have no spiritual attachments with the TV but with the preacher on air. A minute later, they may be watching porn on the same TV. In other words, the TV does not even matter. But the same cannot be said for graven images. These images are well respected. These Catholics lie that they don't bow to the images but yet they can't deny that they have spiritual attachment to these images.

For example, Oritsejafor told his followers that they would die young if they don't pay tithe. (no one wants to die young).

Adeboye told his followers that non tithers can't make heaven (everyone wants to make heaven).

Oyedepo told his followers that tithes and seed sowing are used to open kingdom blessings (of course, everyone wants to prosper).

You can see how brainwashing works. It is like a scammer promising you huge profits if you can join a business. He sweet talks you into trusting him and before you know it, you have given him all your money. He didn't have to put a gun to your head to make you part with your money.

In the Bible, the pastor was a shepherd who fed the flock with the Word so the flock wouldn't be deceived by the robbers (false teachers). If a pastor is being persecuted, it is his cross (his faith). He is not taking attacks on behalf of anyone. He is not the only Christian who goes through attacks. The disciples did not die for the flock but for the faith. Only Christ died and went through hell for us.
