jesusjnr2020: Who Was The First Human To Celebrate Jesus?
According to the Bible, the first ever person on Earth to celebrate Jesus was an unborn child (fetus of John the Baptist), however even more astonishing is the fact that Jesus was just an embryo (only a few weeks after His conception) when He was first celebrated by the fetus of John.
Luke 1:35-36 (KJV)
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and Who this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
Luke 1:39-42 (KJV)
And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
This wasn't a coincidence but a divine orchestration by God using the instance of His only begotten Son to prove that life of a human begins at conception, not birth, hence why it is nothing but pure murder to end the life even if it's at the earliest stages of pregnancy.
Imagine if the mother of Jesus had not valued the life of Jesus at this early stage, but sought to abort the pregnancy because she thought He wasn't yet human but just an embryo?
There would be no Jesus for John the Baptist to celebrate at that early stage of His life, not to talk of celebrating His birth as was being done today, 2000 years later.
Let's learn to value the life of the unborn child today, if not because of anything else, because of Jesus.
God bless.
It's like you missed the Celebration which the Mother of the Unborn Baby First Celebrated when she said “I am just a lowly servant of the Lord.. Let the will of the Lord be done on me”.
**** **This thread is mainly for the people who are currently staying within the South-East at this very moment.. Please, if you're not currently within the South-East and you don't have well-updated information,, then your contributions might be derailing this thread so badly.
LET'S GO.!! Tomorrow - MONDAY 25th December 2023 - is Christmas Day. And Christmas Day in the South-East is usually filled with celebrations, and outings, with all the members of the extended families (and even friends) coming together at the central family-building (or central family-shed) with their various cooked foods and goodies in order to share them together and enjoy them together, while they tell tales and stories of how businesses are going in their various bases..
That's where the abroadians and diasporans in the families get to mingle very well with the home-branchers,, and the extended-family ties established further - with the new kids in the families introduced, and their parents given some money to buy things for the new babies..
After this gathering, then comes the highly anticipated CHRISTMAS OUTINGS by the kids to fun places in town.. Some parents even take their kids to some other towns in order to enjoy some fun places in these towns, and use these events to build happy memories of wanting to travel back to their village/town..
But now, There had been “Sit-At-Home” situations Every MONDAY in the South-East for the past two-and-half years. And this year's Christmas Day falls on a Monday.
Even though some town and villages had stopped doing the Sit-At-Home on Mondays, some are still doing it very well. And may possibly stay at home on Christmas Day - THEY MAY NOT EVEN GO TO CHURCH ON CHRISTMAS DAY (BECAUSE OF SIT-AT-HOME)
Places like Azia, Uli, Atani Ihiala in Anambra. Almost all the towns in Abia and Ebonyi States. Orlu, Mbise, Obowo in Imo State Udi, Enugu-Ezike in Enugu State.. Just to mention a few.. All these places might remain totally shut-down during this year's Christmas Day Celebrations.
The Gain of This thread is for us to respond with the names of our locations, and then say whether it is going to be a Sit-At-Home situation for you guys at your location tomorrow.
If you're from the South-East but you're Not currently within the South-East,, then, whatever you comment here might not be the true situation at your hometown, Unless you called someone who knows the situation of Streets at your hometown very well - then such a person can give the true situation of what the Christmas Day is going to be like.
LET ME START..
For these twons here: Amansea, Awka, Amawbia, Nibo, Umuokpu, Nawfia, Nimo All in Anambra State. There will be Christmas Celebratios and Outings, not Sit-At-Home.
So, let's hear from the others. What is the situation at your current location??.
2rez: The meme trended that year & now this happy go lucky man has eventually made it to the top. Awesome.
Fun fact: If they don't talk about you, then you are nobody. Learn not to go PMS when you being talked about in an unfair way. That's a preparation for the top, no cap.
This man actually made NSCDC more popular that time..
Because people actually started asking what the real job of NSCDC was. That was how the NSCDC-Act-2007 became the topic of discussion in many Tv and radio stations for weeks.
vybzkartel: So if a married woman confides in you about her marital issues, even the deepest once, doesn't that mean you are attracted to her or she is into you?
Marital issues?? That's frustration on her side. She's trying to make herself feel better by telling you such things, and she really thinks she feels better by telling you such, that's why she continued telling.
Anything you tell her to do in order to feel better, she might find herself doing it. That's how dangerous it is already..
And yes. If you chyke her, she might give it to you so cheaply.. (that is, if you she concludes that it would reduce her frustration).
So, don't even try to chyke. Stay away from her entirely if you can.
And some people will take this advice. That's the worst of it all.
All they come to do in such parties is just to meet guys with money.. And in return, they only continue to package themselves as shiny as possible. Nothing natural. Nothing positive.
HOW ‘OGA AT THE TOP’ VIDEO AFFECTED ME PSYCHOLOGICALLY – SHEM OBAFIAYE
A retired Deputy Commandant General (DCG) of the NSCDC, Shem Obafiaye, has revealed that the viral ‘Oga at the Top’ video affected him psychologically.
Obafiaye, who was recently elevated to the rank of DCG by Interior Minister, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced that he’s now retired from active service.
He made this known during an appearance on Channels TV Sunrise Daily on Tuesday.
His words: “Definitely, it has to because I have never gone through such in my life, but with the words of my cousin, ‘I know you have a future; if you are ready for national recognition, be ready for national embarrassment, harassment, and insults’.
“The name became viral globally, and it didn’t impact my life negatively, thgough from some quarters they projected it negatively.”
He also stated that, contrary to the news that made the rounds, he was not sacked but redeployed.
“I was not sacked, contrary to the news that was making the rounds. Immediately after the interview—and I was changed—my principal, who is my commandant general, just asked me to rest. I was at home for one month rest before they moved me to Oyo State Command,” he said.
Recall Obafaiye rose to prominence in Nigeria after a notable interview on Channels Television in 2013.
During the interview, he was asked to state the NSCDC’s website for members of the public who would like to get information about the agency.
He said: “The one (website) that we are going to make use of is going to be made known by my Oga at the top. Yes. I can’t announce one now, and my Oga says it’s another one that we are going to use.
“If you want to know about NSCDC as at now. Ok, www.nscdc…. That’s all.”
The interview, which was compressed into a 1 minute 8 second video, quickly became viral on social media, with music DJs spinning a ‘remix of the interview and shirts with the ‘Oga at the top’ logo’ being sold on online stores.
Obafiaye also disclosed that he obtained a patent for the slogan.
“We have the certificate; my wife did it, so we have the patent. Anywhere I hear ‘Oga At the Top’ without permission, na money o,” he noted jovially.
NSCDC: WHY I WASN’T OFFICIALLY KITTED – ‘OGA AT THE TOP’ OBAFIAYE
Retired Deputy Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Shem Obafaiye, has explained why he was officially kitted after his recent promotion.
PUNCH METRO reported that Obafaiye, was promoted to the position of the Deputy Commandant-General of the NSCDC by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
He was honored with two of his colleagues as deputy commandants-general: Fasiu Adeyinka, ex-Kwara commandant, and Raji, ex-Imo commandant.
Following his promotion, it was observed that he was not officially knitted for the new position.
While reacting to this during a live interview on Channels TV, he explained that he is now retired.
He said, “The president magnanimously approved, my minister of Interior as well, my now Oga at the top, the commandant general, the trio agreed that let him go home with this rank even after retirement”.
He also revealed that the ‘Oga at the Top’, incident did not have significant negative effect on him as he chose to continue with his duties, especially with the media after that.
