I told urchins in the other thread to wait for Obi's response and he didn't disappoint.
Obi is the next president of Nigeria. God bless Nigeria.
Obi himself had not responded.
But with this response, Obi won't respond again.
But trust me, in his next outings, he will make a passing shot on the issue.

Nairaland General › Re: I Tend To Lie Unnecessarily. Please Help by BluntCrazeMan: 4:06am On Nov 28, 2022
Jackanda1:
Hello house. Is there any one that has this problem? It seems there is a part of my brain that is wired this way for years now.

While most people lie to escape punishment and blame etc, i tend to lie for no reason atall. Sometimes i need to lie further just to modify the initial lie.

Examples:
1. I went late to work because i had to take home some office files which i worked with all through the night. When asked, i lied to my boss that i had a compound dispute tha made me come late. Saying the truth would have earned me praises from my boss and saved me alot of stress.

2. I got injured at home. When my landlady asked how, i lied that i had a serious accident when going to work that morning.
I told her a long story about the accident scene and all. She was sympatizing with me and almost wept. embarassed

These are just few examples i can type now, there is more.

I can't help but lie most of the time i have conversation with people. Any advice?
And you want us to believe these lies?
Christianity Etc › Re: Should Christian Couples Practise Other Styles Of Sex Apart Frm Conventionastyle by BluntCrazeMan: 10:40pm On Nov 27, 2022
Blessedmercy8:
Someone raised this question in church last week being a family weekend in my denomination.
She asked if it's right for christian couple to do other sex styles apart from the "mummy and daddy " style and there were mixed reactions from the youth and some of our old school parents.

One elderly woman said, there's only one way to the door while some young mothers said if both parties agree then it's fine but I ( representing the youth) was of the opinion that it's a sin. This didn't go down well with some of our middle aged mommies until I backed it up with some points..

One of the mommies was like, since they are now married, they own their bodies and can do whatever they like with it but I countered her by asking if such styles glorify God.

I went on to ask where such styles were copied from... Pornography. This dirty styles were not in existence before now and was not practised by our forefathers; even if it was, it was probably during Sodom and Gomorrah and we all know God's take on their actions. Now bringing to our own time, these styles became popular when pornography took over the internet and most couples practicing it learnt it from pornographic contents ( which is a sin) probably during their worldly days and are now gradually bringing such practice into the church and trying to paint it nice by saying their bodies belong to each other therefore they can do anything.

Pornography where these styles emanated from is a sin and this makes the practice of such styles a sin as it doesn't give glory to God but the devil. As christians, I believe everything should be done in moderation and to the glory of God.

Remember, your body is the temple of the holy spirit. So, do not use worldly practices and fetishes to defile your bodies.

What you guys think?

Modified.

Ok guys, I see everyone trying to justify this act by saying it's not stated anywhere in the bible what styles couples should do but at the same time condeming the act of anal sex. What a double standard.

Now, if we are to go by your submissions, where is it stated in the bible that the VJ is the right entrance and not anal?

Were Adam and Eve taught where to use, going by your argument? No, they chose it themselves. So why kick against anal if I can't kick against different styles?

This shows that we all have a sense of right and wrong and should be able to do the right thing and not try to bend it to favor us when it's not convenient reason some can say anal sex is wrong and different styles is not right. Simple!
Married Couple shouldn't even be having sex for fun.
They should only have sex during the woman's ovulation period, and that is, if they want to get a baby.

Since exploring their bodies and finding out which styles work best for them is a sin, then having sex just for fun should also be a biiigg sin

Education › Reasons Why Finland’s Education System Is Dominating The World Stage. by BluntCrazeMan(op): 2:17am On Nov 26, 2022
HERE ARE SOME REASONS WHY FINLAND’S EDUCATION SYSTEM IS DOMINATING AMERICA AND THE WORLD STAGE.

1. NO STANDARDIZED TESTING....

When answering pre-canned questions is somehow supposed to be a way to determine mastery or at least competence of a subject, then, what often happens is that students will learn to cram just to pass a test, and teachers will be teaching with the sole purpose of students passing a test.
Learning would be thrown out of the equation.

In Finland there are no standardized tests.
The only exception is something called the National Matriculation Exam, which is a voluntary test for students who wish to continue to the university at the end of an upper-secondary school.
All children throughout Finland are graded on an individualized basis and grading system set by their teacher.
Tracking overall progress is done by the Ministry of Education, which samples groups across different ranges of schools.

2. COOPERATION, NOT COMPETITION...
While most Americans and other countries see the educational system as one big Darwinian competition, the Finns see it differently.

Finland’s educational system doesn’t worry about artificial or arbitrary merit-based systems. There are no lists of top performing schools or teachers. It’s not an environment of competition
– instead, cooperation is the norm.

3. MAKING THE BASICS A PRIORITY....
Many school systems are so concerned with increasing the test scores and comprehension in maths and sciences, but they tend to forget what constitutes a happy, harmonious, healthy student and learning environment.

Many years ago, the Finnish school system was in need of some serious reforms.

The program that Finland put together focused on returning back to the basics. They looked to make the school environment a more equitable place.

Since the 1980s, Finnish educators have focused on making these following basics a priority:

• Education should be an instrument to balance out social inequality.
• All students receive free school meals.
• Ease of access to health care.
• Psychological counseling
• Individualised guidance.

4. STARTING SCHOOL AT AN OLDER AGE
In Finland, Students start school when they are SEVEN YEARS OLD.
They’re given free reign in the developing childhood years to not be chained to compulsory education.
It’s simply just a way to let a kid be a kid.

There are ONLY 9 YEARS OF COMPULSORY SCHOOLING which Finnish children are required to attend.
Everything past the ninth grade (or at the age of 16 and beyond) is optional.

Just from a psychological standpoint, this is a freeing ideal.
Although it may be anecdotal, many students really feel like they’re stuck in a prison.
Finland alleviates this forced ideal, and instead opts to prepare its children for the real world.

5. FINNS WAKE UP LATER FOR LESS STRENUOUS SCHOOLDAYS...
Waking up early, catching a bus or ride, participating in morning and after school extracurriculars are huge time sinks for a student.
Add to the fact that some classes start anywhere from 6am to 8am, and you’ve got sleepy, uninspired adolescents on your hands.

Students in Finland usually start school anywhere from 9:00 – 9:45 AM.
Research has shown that early start times are detrimental to students’ well-being, health, and maturation.
Finnish schools start the day later and usually end by 2:00 – 2:45 AM. They have longer class periods and much longer breaks in between.
The overall system isn’t there to ram and cram information to their students, but to create an environment of holistic learning.

6. CONSISTENT INSTRUCTION FROM THE SAME TEACHERS....
There are fewer teachers and students in Finnish schools. You can’t expect to teach an auditorium of invisible faces and breakthrough to them on an individual level.
Students in Finland often have the same teacher for up to six years of their education.
During this time, the teacher can take on the role of a mentor or even a family member.
During those years, mutual trust and bonding are built so that both parties know and respect each other.

Different needs and learning styles vary on an individual basis.
Finnish teachers can account for this because they’ve figured out each student’s idiosyncratic needs.
They can accurately chart and care for their progress and help them reach their goals. There is no passing along to the next teacher because there isn’t a “next teacher”.

7. A MORE RELAXED ATMOSPHERE....
There is a general trend in what Finland is doing with its schools.
Less stress, less unneeded regimentation, and more caring.
Students usually only have a couple of classes a day.
They have several times to eat their food, enjoy recreational activities, and generally just relax.
Spread throughout the day are 15 to 20-minutes intervals where the kids can get up and stretch, grab some fresh air and decompress.

This type of environment is also needed by the teachers.
Teacher’s rooms are set up all over Finnish schools, where they can lounge about and relax, prepare for the day or just simply socialize.
Teachers are people too and need to be functional so they can operate at the best of their abilities.

8. LESS HOMEWORK AND OUTSIDE WORK...
Students in Finland have the least amount of outside work and homework than any other student in the world.
They spend only half an hour a night working on stuff from school. Finnish students also don’t have tutors. Yet they’re outperforming cultures that have toxic school-to-life balances without the unneeded or unnecessary stress.

Finnish students are getting everything they need to get done in school without the added pressures that come with excelling at a subject.
Without having to worry about grades and busy-work, they are able to focus on the true task at hand – which is, learning and growing as a human being.

The presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has mocked his People’s Democratic Party counterpart, Abubakar Atiku, for running multiple times for the presidency.

Tinubu was speaking during an engagement with Niger Delta stakeholders in Gbaramatu, in Delta State on Friday.

He noted that Atiku had been running for presidency, adding that the former Vice President must be tired from running.

Tinubu said, “As I stand before you, there are few of us left running. One says he is Atiku. How many times has he been running?

“He’s always on the run and he is tired. Tell him to go and sit down. Enough is enough.”

He also took a swipe at another presidential candidate whose name he refused to mention.

He went on to state that mentioning the person’s name was a disgrace to him.

The former Lagos State governor said, “The other one, that one he think (say) na statistics we go chop, he lies with arithmetic that no Indian can solve it (sic).

“To mention his name is a disgrace to me. I won’t mention the name. Wrong arithmetic, wrong statistics, warehouse economy; that is not what Nigeria needs.”

Please what's the meaning if a school is using Montessori method
From Wikipedia:
“The Montessori method of education involves [allowing the children to engage in their] children's natural interests and activities, rather than formal teaching methods......
“A Montessori classroom places an emphasis on hands-on learning and developing real-world skills”.

In a Montessori classroom, a lot of learning-aids and toys are placed for the kids, and the kids play/learn with anyone of them which they fancy, and they are not under any pressure to learn at any speed or rate.

They are more-or-less catching fun, but also learning in the process of catching the fun without even feeling like anyone is forcing them to learn..
The instructors are only there just to guide them, and tidy the place up.

Ha! A higher education degree means I have advanced knowledge of the subject na. Would be a shame on me if after years of studying Physics or Engineering, I can't correctly mark exams of basic level. Plus, the exam body always provide marking guide already. What other experience does a person need to mark exam scripts of 15/16 year olds other than the understanding of the topics? Just some little orientation on the skills of exam marking, recording etc...dass all.

But I do get your point, very well. Graduates of education might be the best for this role then, since they have gotten more experience through Observation and Teaching practice. I'm already a strong believer that only people with degrees in Education should be teachers but with the economy and state of employment in the land, it is what it is. embarassed

Cost of training shouldn't be the problem. We already spend a whole lot on shenanigans, we can put those funds to better use. That's why we say the education sector needs more strategic funding, at all levels.

A better/ widened curriculum with the same way of testing and marking might not bring so much progress, in the context of this OP's suggestions.
That's Exactly what I am saying.

Our examination methods are making our students lazy and mentally unproductive
