Angelfrost: I didn't accuse you of supporting Obi. I only said that even the youngest of the three frontrunners can't be said to be physically and mentally fit enough to carry this cross without breaking down. And then, concerning the predictions before Buhari, those were just embittered lamentations from sore losers. Economists like Soludo and Sanusi had already warned that anyone who became president (whether GEJ or Buhari) would struggle. The Economist also warned GEJ in January, 2014 to fight corruption and save money, because a terrible recession would hit the country. People who think one man has the answer to all our questions better understand that irrespective of who wins in 2023, it wouldn't be an easy ride. At this stage, Nigerians are not willing to hear "Give me time". Once nothing changes in a few months, the new president becomes a failure. Of course, his supporters would rally around him, but everyone would finally understand that to move this country forward, we need more than just one leader. We need every leader in every level of governance to sit up and be highly motivated to make the country work. |

Angelfrost: Don't you all think you are doing Shettima an injustice by believing (without proof) that he is the patron of Boko Haram? And talking about mental and physical health, no one can say for certain that Obi (who is the youngest of the three frontrunners) is mentally and physically fit to handle the rigors of presiding Nigeria. |

Naira20: Look at the image that you are ignorantly disputing. That was Moses holding the rod with Aaron and Hur supporting his arms. Go and read your Bible and stop constituting a nuisance. Don't be in a hurry to cry. Next week Saturday is almost here. 1 Like 1 Share |

Naira20: In the battle against the Amalakites, Moses's hands were held up and supported by Aaron and Hur. This was so because any time Moses dropped his hands, the Amalakites dealt with Israel. So, Moses had to keep his arms up. When he got tired, Aaron and Hur had to find a stone for him to sit down on. Then, they sat on either side of him and supported his arms. 39 Likes 8 Shares |

Buksaylor: You need to study the suit, not the constitution. The suit is against the implementation of the deadline. It does not concern CBN. It is a suit directed at the FG, especially the Buhari-led executive which is the primary enforcer of laws in Nigeria. No one is against the naira redesign. But many people are against the rapid demonetization which is causing hardship and chaos. |

cocoboss: You can't tell me that Obi is the lesser evil. You all claim Tinubu's wealth is shady. What about Peter Obi's wealth? How did Obi become wealthy? You all claim Tinubu is corrupt, but no one has been able to beat him court. People just shout that Tinubu is very corrupt? Tell them to present 2 corrupt cases against him, and they go mute. If you mention Alpha Beta, don't forget Obi also saved public money in a subsidiary where he was a major shareholder, and therefore one of the owners. |
Politics / Re: El-Rufai: Old Naira Notes Valid For The Next 100 Years by BluntTheApostle(m): 1:11pm On Feb 17, 2023 |
cocoboss: What can he do? Can he arrest El Rufai? The highest a president can do is to go dirty by roping a governor in acts of corruption and lobbying (bribing) the state house of assembly to impeach him. That was what Obasanjo did to Alamieyeseigha. Another thing is to cause unrest in the state so as to convince the NASS to support him in declaring a state of emergency. And the way you people portray Obi as a saint, I am sure he would not behave rascally like Obasanjo. Abi, maybe Obi is not as saintly as you people portray him. We all know those who suffered because OBJ wanted to die in power. But you people say Obi is different, and Obi himself has promised that he would respect rule of law. |

cocoboss: You people have started with your ignorance again. Nigeria is a federal state. In Federal states, governors enjoy a lot of clout. In fact, they are regarded more powerful than presidents. When DSS was sent to arrest Apostle Suleman Johnson commando-style for incitement, it was Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state that saved Suleiman. What would Peter Obi do differently? Would he arrest El Rufai? 1 Like |

Adaisback: The same Obi who was impeached by a common State House of Assembly or another Obi? Is it Tinubu or Atiku that they would remove just like that? This Obi will not even last with the NASS. He would be removed with the speed of light, and the Supreme Court would not be able to help him this time around. Ada is back my foot!!! Ekwensu!!! 2 Likes |

Acidosis: So, saving money makes one a saint? Perhaps, you have forgotten that GEJ administration was adjudged more corrupt than the extremely corrupt Shagari administration. If you haven't earned confidence, no one will trust you with money. Nigerian politicians know one another. With money disappearing, and unaccounted for, the governors were not confident in the ability of the administration to safeguard saved funds. This is Nigeria where millions of dollars can disappear without any trace. |

Aust1n: How can they not know what they are protesting about? You really think Nigerians are so dumb. Are you telling me that people (especially the ordinary folks) are not feeling the bite of this poorly implemented policy? I guess the woman who went naked at Access Bank was bankrolled by a politician. She probably didn't know why she went naked. Have you seen the current headline inflation rate? Cost of foods has gone up. Salary remains constant, unemployment rate is not dropping, and you say people are being bankrolled to protest. |

iamL: Last prayers do a lot. Condemned criminals get the opportunity to say their last prayers before they are executed. In fact, they allow them access to a priest. I hear assassins ask their victims to say their last prayers. Keeping our hands and consciences clean is not an easy task. As long as we are flesh, temptations would always abound. Which is why we pray for grace. |
Politics / Re: “Supreme Court Order” Versus “Presidential Address”: Which One Supersedes? by BluntTheApostle(m): 7:22am On Feb 17, 2023 |
Buksaylor: The Supreme Court does not dabble into matters. Rather, matters are brought to the hearing of the Supreme Court. Some state governments brought a suit against FG. The Supreme Court has original jurisdiction in matters between the Federation and states. Buhari should have respected the Supreme Court order to suspend the implementation of the deadline of the old notes swap until further hearing. |

Politics / Re: 2023 Election: I Will Respect Rule Of Law If Elected – Peter Obi by BluntTheApostle(m): 6:57pm On Feb 16, 2023 |
Peter Obi is the least prepared for president. A man who does not understand the concept of separation of power cannot respect the rule of law. For the fact that he said he would subject all arms of government to routine auditing shows that he does not know the limitations of a president's power. If, by mistake, he wins, he will start making excuses like Buhari did when he said he wishes he was in the military era where he had absolute power. Peter Obi should know that being president in a federalism comes with immense challenges. In fact, in Nigeria, a governor is more powerful than a president. His followers should also tone down their expectations. One man cannot change the country. Especially one man from a party that lacks political structure. |

blank: That is the problem with you people. You don't understand how governance work. The president cannot overhaul the Supreme Court. He doesn't have the power to. I laugh at many of you who keep bragging that Obi would do this or that. Some ignorant fellow even said Obi would stop Tinubu from feeding fat on Lagos money. Anyway, I don't blame you. Even your Obi does not know the limits of a president's power in a federalism. He once said he would subject all arms of government to routine auditing. 🤓 2 Likes |

Allisgud: That is the problem. Yorubas have a saying: "The person watching you is smarter than you". If someone has 100 guns, the person stalking them has the advantage even if he has just one gun. One thing that chills me about AKA's death is that it came without any warning. He did not even see it coming. He certainly didn't have the time to say his last prayers. |
