Focusmind: It actually looks like those hand crafted hard wood doors that cost up 500k to 1m. I like the natural feel of woods on buildings. Those hand crafted heavy doors fabricated here are very expensive and are usually heavy the way I want. But the prices are pretty dam high. This already made ones for turkey posted here are cheaper.
Most Nigerians, as your mum, won't like that type because it is not shiny with lots of gold plated colours. I like them conservative and natural in appearance. I like the feel and look of wood finishes a lot. Be it tiles, doors, TV panels or walls. Natural hard wood finishes are expensive but stands out. I quiet agree, those wooden doors look like turkey doors and are very lovely... They are as soft and smooth as breast when touched.... But try to hit it.... As hard as rock, and very heavy.. I hear they are bullet proof too... Just that they are damn expensive... |

Recommending you to COREN body doesn't guarantee you of free certificate. You will will write a technical report of four copies and four men panels are going to interview based on your practical experience together with the technical report If someone is going to pass through all these rigorous processes why then is @micgray100 hawking the certificate? Is he going to impersonate the person during exams, or is he going to pass through the back door? Or is he the interviewer? Or is he going to forge the technical report? rotecch77: 2 things involved in plastering to get good results - selection of materials sand/ cement - professionalism.
Reason why I do go extra miles to get good results in all my plastering/ rendering work.
Check below diff states in Nigeria where I carried out some finishings and construction work. You hardly see cracks. In difficult situations of getting good sand I do apply another methodology to get minimal tiny crack in one or two places if the work is gigantic one .
Pics below are plastering NOT SCREEDING Which sand is the best for plastering? |

Olusojisorunmu: The type & choice of plaster sand could also be the issue. No matter how you mix some plaster sand, they will still crack.
They are best avoided. What then should be used in lieu of plaster sand? |

emmyN: Please do all you can to refund the amount you agreed to as soon as possible. Saying you have no money now is not tenable.
I've followed up with this issue closely, accessed objectively, and haven't found you guilty of fraud, YET. The 'yet' is subject to your commitment to refund somehow his money as soon as possible.
There is a bandwagon effect on this thread. I've noticed the people brandishing the words 'fraud' and 'scam' about are the same old people, their loyalists, and those who can't think for themselves.
This fall-out has been blown momentously out of proportion and you n3xt share a part in the blame for failing to nip the situation in the bud when you could.
I won't fail to note my perception of what the QS' role is in all these. He has chosen mostly to play the silent card, a wise tactic when your decision is being called to question. To me, he created bad blood where there was none, and heightened fears where they should have been assuaged.
P.S: I've seen all the threads created about brabus, read every one of them, and do acknowledge he has erred in the past. Are you not same guy he's been using on kobocity? @micgray100 you are not talking again... You said you will expose me... Come, it's time to defend yourself in this ring.... @micgray100 is another fraudster you should be wary of... He is an insider.... |

The money was meant to execute the project, it's obvious the funds were channeled into something different from what it was paid for (otherwise the money for the unexecuted part of the project should still be available).
That alone is sufficient to establish dishonesty and fraudulent intent.

sonnie10: This is not quite true. Google how cancer could occur when tissues are exposed to carcinogens. There is stochastic and determinant effect. While determinant effect has a threshold, stochastic does not. Any amount of exposure could possible trigger biological adverse effect.
As an illustration, when there is a little drizzle of rain on mosaic tiles, one cannot tell which of the tiles would get wet by the rain, obviously not all of them would. The mosaic tiles in this example represent body tissues while the rain is asbestos and the wet tiles are cancerous tissues. That is how the billions of DNA in human body behave when exposed to cancer causing agents. No one knows exactly what quantity of the agent would break the sequence bond of the nucleotide in the DNA. That breakage is called mutation, a precursor to cancer.
Na this work I dey take chop Albeit, level of exposure matters. We all have inhaled asbestos in one way or another.. Smoking causes cancer but it's not all that smoke that gets it. Las las it is best to trade on the side of caution. |

mountmoriah: My bosses in the house took those words already from my mouth before I could reply you sir, they now use cellous and cement but we just still call it asbestos, that is why we still have Nigerite, like oga registerin pointed out
This what we must condemn or educate whoever we see doing this mentioned in quote above, destroying the old ones, by act of crushing it and using it as rubble's on the road, some resident will be happy, some will even be thanking the person that did it, not knowing, that person doing such a thing unknowingly to him or herself as well is polluting and exposing that environment to cancer, and this act should be totally condemn and stop, this an eyes openers, kudos to the bosses above me for sharing this @stopthecap Actually, it requires a huge amount of exposure, and inhalation of a great amount of asbestos before it could be cancerous. The amount of asbestos released by the rubble is negligent. Just same way we all inhale carbon monoxide daily, but in a negligible amount. |

sonnie10: Do you know what chemical that was? Just like the tobacco companies have not closed down because of cancer, the soft drinks companies have not closed down because of diabetes, so it’s not surprising that asbestos is still being produced. Forget the big names behind it.
The truth is that particles from asbestos inherently cause COPD and they could also lead to cancer The only reason people still use is because they last longer when used for outdoor kitchen area and bakery that is prone to heavy smoke and humid. The chemical itself is the asbestos... They no longer use asbestos as the binding element, they now use cement. But it is still called asbestos based on the old name. |

smallsmall: Speaking from a Practical point of View, how come all those Bungalow Houses (and even some Storey buildings) built almost 100years ago and without a German Floor (Well-built, as l mentioned) are still standing firm, while some recent ones with German Floors have collapsed?
When did the concept of German floor even enter Nigeria's building technology? Mind you, l am not saying German Floor is bad or unnecessary at all, but l am saying that you can "build successfully" without it, under certain conditions. The evidence is there for all to see, Nigerians generally dont explore options, once something is in Vogue, everybody joins the bandwagon and take it as gospel truth.
If you want to condemn a Post, you better do so with your points laid out, not just a one-liner as if you are some PhD Civil Engineer. It reeks of arrogance. You made a valid point.. It's a face we can not deny, they evidence is everywhere. |
