Why does it need to borrow dollar if it doesn't need to print more money to stabilize the currency. Too much money doesn't mean it is in the wrong hands, it is simply in where it is supposed to be that's why the CBN was established . There are many times when the naira is in shortage for trade even the lower denomination. There is no point transacting with dollars in Nigeria because it will lead to high dollar demand and a diverging currency.
Remember not printing enough money means devaluing the currency as some notes becomes worn out if you understand economic, shortage of transaction and when the lower currencies is in obsolete, the manufacturing industries won't produce goods for that worth as an example and even local traders and manufacturer gets shortage of resources and money will generally not be in circulation.
Your understanding of Nigeria's economy is depressingly shallow. If you're put in the position to oversee the affairs of this country, our economy would be on its knees in 2 months.

You're a bitter and ignorant fellow. Wish nairaland had the option of deleting comments, cause quoting you was a mistake.

You're one of those nnewi street brought-ups whose entire Education has revolved around red mud homes and large-headed adults with small brains and shoe-sized nostrils.

How many can they employ? Even ordinary pure water they drink there comes from Aba
It's the audacity with which you Igbos overrate your relevance in Nigeria, that amuses me the most.

Now you stupid lot have moved from grandstanding with the Yorubas to dishing hate to the South South. In your flat head, no other region of Nigeria is capable of achieving heights.

People like you court unnecessary hate towards the entire Igbo race. Uncultured swine!

How has this building positively impacted the pple of the state? Nonsense.
It's a business complex that has over 50 people in its employ. That's approximately 50 families being directly cared for, by virtue of salaries and remunerations. This isn't even taking indirect jobs into consideration.

It adds to the economic value of the state by catering to public satisfaction which inturn translates to accrued and accruing revenues. Let's not even downplay the aesthetic value of infrastructures such as this.

I can strip apart the merits beyond those two instances. At the end of the day, the aim is to make you understand that efforts like this are not done in futility.

It's "assumed" that must have been the reason. An assumption is not enough grounds for you to throw expletives at someone else. No "proper man" does that.

CBN needs to print more currency, stop direct dollar transaction within Nigeria every transaction must be in naira unless electronic transaction and improve export, that way there is no demand for dollar, the naira becomes stable and a high inflow of forex.
Under any circumstance, the CBN doesn't need to print more money. There's already too much paper naira in the economy.

90% of Nigerians are not patriotic to this country, I do tell people long time ago Nigeria economy has been on falsehood stream long over due, if one to reform economy Nigeria we have many rivers to cross. I do wonder price of noodles in ondo state is different from in kaduna while in developed countries all commodities price are uniform.
This is false.
Even in the US, prices of commodities vary according to locations please. The variations are however within a certain price basket regulated by the requisite agency so as to prevent indiscrimate price inflations which leads to public exploitation.

That effective regulation is what's lacking in Nigeria.

They are charging him for illegal arms and ammunition, !
If Emefiele's lawyers have any brain, they should call Buhari, Osibanjo, Malami and that woman that heads the humanitarian conduit pipe, as witnesses, that would put these charade for the dummmies to bed.
I think I read somewhere that the charge for illegal possession of firearm was thrown out today.

NCAA.
They've been quiet effective, having left those days of Femi Fani-Kayode behind them.

FCCPC.
They're doing quite well too.

But you see that SON and NERC? They're the poster faces of "organisational uselessness".

Politics › Re: What Is The Life Of A Nigerian Soldier Worth? by BoldBrainz(m): 9:38pm On Aug 17, 2023
I should waste my time and emotions mourning a Nigerian soldier?

The same animals that will destroy an entire Southern community, displacing indigenes, killing them and carting away their corpses, as retaliation for the slightest provocation?

With the personal experiences I've had, seeing soldiers terrorising civilians and displaying wanton lawlessness, any dead Nigerian soldier is of no relevance and he/she can burn in hell for all I care!
