Career › Re: Is Quitting A Good Idea? Opinions Will Be Appreciated by BoldBrainz(m):
With a million naira, slow down on the business idea.

The Nigerian business atmosphere is currently very cruel on start-ups and existing SMEs. Irrespective of your location and how viable the option might seem, burying a million naira into a startup right now, is a mistake you may not recover from.

Keep your job. Save a bit more while you watch where the country is headed for the next 5 to 6 months. You can revisit the thought afterwards.

Just so you know, a million naira now is roughly 1,250 dollars. It's not exactly as much money as you think it is, given the inflationary percentage out there.

Events › Re: Rationale Behind Many Speakers At A Single Day Event? by BoldBrainz(m): 12:27pm On Aug 19, 2023
Hm.

For all the reasons you listed. There are no set rules or weighted scales to these things. The essence of a conference might turn out to be a subject with very broad analysis. Dissecting through is often easily done when you have just about enough speakers. Networking comes in too. People attend conferences for the enlightenment and contact making. Others just gather a crowd of speakers to make the whole event seem overly important. It's part of embellishment and corporate image laundering.
Politics › Re: Anti-party: PDP Considers Wielding Big Stick Against G-5 by BoldBrainz(m): 12:24pm On Aug 19, 2023
PDP is just one very useless party.

They had the numbers and moves to outsmart APC on the political chessboard before the last elections, but bloated egos and lack of sound judgements saw them giving away the Presidency.

Even as an opposition party, they've been largely ineffective. Imagine small Labour Party that gained popularity about 7months ago, displacing them in the societal scheme of things.

They're solely responsible for rewarding Tinubu's antics with the Presidency. If they had got their shit together with the G5 and made deft moves to form the needed alliances across board, we wouldn't be saddled with the Lagos book-keeper today.. huh

Give Soludo some time.

By the way, Dave Umahi is the commander-in-chief of flyovers in Nigeria. Making him the works minister is one of the best appointments Tinubu made. That man will teach Nigerians that a politician's ability to perform has nothing to do with his party.

As Ebonyi governor, Dave would visit his ongoing projects in the middle of the night and measure things himself to be sure it aligns with what he agreed with the contractor. I hope he doesn't lose that zeal as a minister.

Hahahaaaaaa, Buhari requested for the $800m loan to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal before it was suspended for the incoming government.

All of una sleep and face the same direction, not even security cautious
Buhari applied for it but the request was stood down by the 9th senate.

Tinubu reapplied to the 10th senate and it was approved. So it has nothing to do with Buhari.

Stop being an idiot of elephantine proportion!

I can now see that Seun Osewa and his mods are 100% Obidient. Always pushing propaganda that tends to discredit the government. Some Obidients on twitter even mentioned they would "visit" Justice Tsamanni's daughter in her Abuja shop if her father does not do what they want. How is that ever acceptable? Let the judiciary do its Job. They don't need to be threatened.

Fashola went to teach the Abia government yesterday but that never made front page. Anything that seems to put the government in a positive light never makes the front page.

You are pandering to Obidients who daily curse you on Twitter... shior
Your take on this issue is weird.

9jahotblog:
the so called consultants are of clueless bunch of failures that doesn’t know how to audit the staffs in the civil service in Osun State. In every state there’s Office of accountant general in which there are auditors that are staffs in the ministry, tell me why can’t they hired the government staff auditors that are good in auditing in their various departments. Nope the government won’t hired them but cluelessly hired private consultants that are very related and very biased in their dealings. Private auditors or consultants or whatever the names they called them will never succeed in their auditing cos’ they are bunch of clueless looters that want to pertake in the state treasury too. There are offices of auditors in the various ministries in the state secretariat, tell me why can’t they hired them . A government that’s full of nepotistic style of government has bound to fail and it will failed woefully.
Because the purpose of an audit is to find anomalous data. It is common knowledge that in-house auditing staff very often tend to get compromised. So occasionally, institutional heads and ownerships tend to employ the temporary services of independent auditors meant to either corroborate internal reports or find what's hidden. It is standard practice the world over.

Only thieves and people with ulterior motives fidget and protest over being audited by external bodies.
