I believe the traditional certificate and some pictures should be ideal. There is the option to select Common Law marriage...

Jig5aw:
I think a marriage certificate issued and duly signed by a registrar of a Nigerian high court will be adequate. Please, house am I wrong?

All the best!

Hi All, I just want to let everyone know that l won't be regular on the thread anymore due to changes in my schedule. This might also affect the rate at which I attend to PMs. The good thing is that there are so many people on the thread that are knowledgeable about the process and will be able to answer any questions that may be asked.

I have learnt a lot, made some good friends through this thread and have enjoyed answering questions. I wish everyone on this journey quick PPR and smooth relocation to Canada.

Read page '0' of this thread... Most basic details you need are on there. However these 2 options are recommended for evaluation - www.wes.org and IQAS.

debisikoya:
So how do I evaluate my degree?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 11:34am On Mar 13, 2017
Yes, IELTS and then evaluate your degree simultaneously...

debisikoya:
ok, am greatful, been reading just the terminologies that are a little confusing, so am assuming the first thing is to go for IELTS before applying the express entry, right?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 9:09am On Mar 13, 2017
You can take it out of employment and add it to personal history. That way, you will not need to get a reference letter... As long as you do not need it to add to your work experience as you said.

lumzy1:
Hello All, Is it ok to remove NYSC from work experience after ITA (this will not affect the years i'm claiming for work experience, as i have more than 3 years in another company)? How does one get reference for NYSC if the place of primary assignment isn't willing to give one? (I have call-up letter, posting letter and ID card)

You can add his work experience in 'personal history' only to help avoid having to get a reference letter... Also add his travel history. You will not have a problem.

Add you BSc only to your personal history and not education (Add only MSc here).

But all these are only available after ITA.

specrealq:
Hello
Please is it compulsory that i put my husband work experience when filling express entry profile, what if i dnt because is difficult to get his reference letter.
And if i dnt, i need to write it in his personal details to account for his whereabout and his frequent official trips in his travel history.
Will it be a problem @dupyshoo
2. I evaluTed juzt my masters any need to put my bsc now or post ITA
Your urgent response i want to finanlize my profile so i will be ready for the next draw.

Thank you.

LMIA is free for employers if the candidate is in the EE pool...

Blackbuddy:

The process could take from some weeks to a number of months. Another challenge is the cost to employers. LMOs used to be $275 but LMIAs now cost $1000 each so you can see it has to be a serious job before an employer will shell that much out. And they have to prove that the vacancy has been advertised for at least 6 months in Canada and they couldn't find anyone to fill the position. Let's see how your situation works out, just stay on top of every demand that is made on you especially your personal details and financial implications.

Which test were you asked to take?

Good Morning House.

I received expression of interest from Ontario but I need an urgent response on how to draft a gift deed and to whom it will be addressed to.

Thanks Hous

Think it's done at the High court... When did you get NOI?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 2:46pm On Mar 10, 2017
Her NYSC is ok... 1 year experience. What's her score tho?

arinola2:

Thanks a lot boldinc.

She is 25, i am 35. As for me, i have over 10 years telecommunication experience (But age is a disadvantage).
Both of us don't have masters yet.

I did IELTS last week (expecting my result by next week 17th/18th).
My WES is almost ready as i started 4th-Jan-2017, and transcript has been sent same week and verification feedback from school to WES (fro their email) as well about 3 weeks ago. I believe they should be done by now - i don't know why its taking too long.

My wife just started her WES process this week Monday (6th-Mar-2017). And her IELTS is scheduled for 8th-April-2017.

I have tried the tool over and over and think she is the best as principal applicant, as she will get more score.

What i wanted to get is if her NYSC will be good for us to use as she will just have NYSC experience (1 year) - which i think you have answered if i'm right.

Thank you so much again, i really appreciate. Any other tip or advice will be appreciated.

You should check and compare both your scores with each of you as the principal applicant and go for the one that has the highest.

NYSC experience will give only one year, but the maximum of 3 years earns you more points. DO you have up to 3 years working experience? Does she have a Masters degree? Use the tool and compare...

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

arinola2:

Dears,
I would love to know whats the implication of this will be ;

I intend to make my wife the applicant because age is on her side. Where am a little confused is with respect to her job/experience as she is currently serving and will be done with service next month (APRIL).

Lets assume we get ITA in May ----- What is the implication of the fact that she doesn't have post NYSC experience?

Any advice will be appreciated. thank you.

Did you get this score with your present IELTS? If so, you do not need to remark nor does your husband need to take IELTS and ECA.

This score is high enough for now.

Kathyjex:
Hello wonderful team,

This journey eh! I just put head and trusting God it will be fruitful. Please I have question:

Again I had taken IELTS L8.5, S7.5, R7, W6. Sadly W gave it to me. I have paid for retake adnd also Remark of the old scores (can't sleep not knowing what happened to the W score). WES is currently processing my ECA adnd my spouce and I are takinf IELTS ina cuple of weeks time. Hopefully heavens will open for me.
my question is,
1. does my spouse have to do ECA for the credentials? I know the answer has been provided here as 'no' depending on my CRS.
2. Another question I have is, if 'no' what do i fill for spouse education level when checking my score on the CRS? do i leave it blank (select) or select none, less than secondary school?

I checked the CRS without ECA (ie left it as select) and got (see below):
Comprehensive Ranking System formula

Subtotal Core/Human capital + Spouse factors + Skill transferability = 448

Additional points = 0

Grand total = 448

i ask all these Cos his school in England is messing up for transcript adn we can save the money for ECA. What do you advice?

GURUS please.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 6:52pm On Mar 09, 2017
He will only get PR if you state that he is accompanying you... Even if you state so, he doesn't need to write IELTS or do ECA if your score is high enough.

cookies:

Do you mean if I carry on with this application and choose the non-accompanying option for my spouse, he doesn't have to write IELTS, ECA etc....yet he'd still get PR in the end? I'm really confused about this.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 11:26am On Mar 09, 2017
He will, as long as your score is good enough...

cookies:

But if he doesn't do any of these will he still get PR in the end?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 11:26am On Mar 09, 2017
I believe strongly that it is temporary... Any update on your ECA? I believe you will be ready for your ITA next week.

40manlappy:
@boldinc: It seems that Ontario has not issued any NOI since March 1. Let us hope that it is only a temporary pause.

Use the CRS tool to check your score without him writing IELTS nor doing the ECA... Last I checked, if I remember correctly, your score was good for ITA without. SO confirm and save some cash and time...

cookies:
Now that my spouse has agreed to accompany & is about to take IELTS do we both have to do ECA?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 4:44pm On Mar 08, 2017
There's no news on their website about a break or quota reached...

Maybe a glitch in the system or an intentional pause.

40manlappy:

NOI yet. I don't think anyone has announced receiving it in the last one week on this forum.

@all: Ideas anyone? Have they met their quota for 2017?

Any useful information would be appreciated.

Not sure about procedures in Lautech, but you are better off evaluating your MBA... Gets you more scores.

BabaArmani:
Hi guys, please help out here. I have a score of 7.0 overall in ielts, 5 yrs work experience but challenge is do I get WES to verify my bsc or MBA? Getting a transcript for bsc would cost about 50k from osu and mba certificate or transcript from Lautech is delayed due to the strikes... Can anyone share some tips on how to go ahead because I'm thinking mba would rake in a higher point than bsc...and if you know anyone who can speak up the chemical reaction in Lautech pls help a brother..cheers

You 'could'... If the current trend continues in the next 2/3 draws, There's a chance.

yungscribe:

You mean I could get ITA with the 424 score?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 6:52am On Mar 07, 2017
Your score would be 441 if you max out n IELTS...

peppers:
hello, please how did you score this high? Did you give yourself the highest IELTS score while testing? I am asking because I am younger- 27 with a Bsc, single and 5!years experience. Thank you

You practically maxed out in your IELTS exam, tho the extra possible 6 points could go a long way. MSc would have tremendously helped, but besides that, writing the French test is the only way I see at the moment. But from the current trend, hopefully nothing changes, you could get ITA in the next 2 draws...

yungscribe:

Ielts result is L8.5, R7.5, S7.5, W7.0 and I have no knowledge of French.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 7:34am On Mar 06, 2017
I do not think your bank statement must show payments of salary. Your reference letter would suffice and you can add pay slips if you have any.

Boldinc, please help!
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by boldinc(m): 7:33am On Mar 06, 2017
Yes you do... You can write the French exam 'TEF'... It will add greatly to your score.

cookies:

Do you have more points when you have French knowledge? I studied French for my first degree though I'm only evaluating my MA.

What did you score in your IELTS exam? Do you have any knowledge of French?

Thanks

If the full amount have been in your account for up to 6 months, just print the most recent 6 months bank statement. you will not need an LOE nor gift deed for that.

Beckyhopeful:
am preparing a gift deed to submit with my application.I have some questions on this though:-
1).Do i have to notorise the gift deed?
2).Do i also have to address the gift deed.ie To:-CIC
3) I did not intend to use a gift deed prior now,but after printing my statement, i noticed that majority of the inflows were transferred via my sister's acc.(this is the ac i use to save my funds because i have access to it).The funds have been in my ac for 6months and were transferred in various tranches from my sister's ac.Pls clarify, do u tink i should still include the gift deed?Pls assist me with a response.
