Happiness87:PDP/APC are both useless parties. They are peas from the same pod, just so you know. Also, congrats on your 400 likes. Will that equate to 400 thouand dollars? I'm guessing you guys are getting paid for your likes and topics. |
While i was still at ilorin, there was this ugly mofo with the worst tribal marks i had ever seen on a human being. But, he had the attention of all the beautiful chicks on campus, wore the baddest clothes, and was always on ride. His name was Ajia. I say "was" cause last i heard, he was executed for some political killings he did for some politicians in Ilorin. I remember one day, i and tony tetuila was strolling back from a night reading class when this mofo accosted us. His grief was that tony was toasting one of the chicks he was targeting. Tony was always a ladies man, even with his k leg. Ol'boy, come see threat. I was almost pissing my pants. Things would have gotten really bad if not for smart diplomacy from tony. That was the last time i was seen publicly on campus with tony. I know wan die. Anyway, i digress. Ajia is dead now and good riddance. All the fine clothes and beautiful girls, where dem de now? Also, God punish Tunde Ojomo. Head of Eiye confraternity 1996. May he rot in Hell for the terror he unleashed on all of us. |
ladyF:Lol. Funny. It's not about installing cctvs. They also have to be maintained and ensured they are not vandalized. Does Nigerian sound like a country that can maintain or police anything? What am i even talking about sef? you need power to properly utilise cctvs. Again, does nigeria look like a country that can provide constant power? This is just a ploy to use public funds to install cctvs in areas where the wealthy reside. Period. |
I applied. |
bolajioginni:I'm new to some terms. Someone please define "hot" for me. |
How is it any of you'all business? |
As is the norm in Nigeria; i blame buhari. |
donholy28:Jumping to conclusions as usual in NL. My wife comes from a muslim family, so out of respect to her family we did a traditional muslim wedding. After that we did a church wedding then went to a registry. It did not mean i converted to the muslim religion nor did it mean my wife is muslim. You all need to start thinking before posting. Before you'all start responding, think about this. If you do a traditional wedding, does it mean you are now a traditionalist? |
Another unverifiable story. Una well done. |
Jesusloveyou:Finally, someone gets it. The country is not just disorganized, it's downright lawless. |
jacksonite:Pretty much. If what he owns is not accessible then how can you tax him properly? |
BekeeBuAgbara:That's right. Stay in the dark. Enlightenment does mean anything. |
major466:I wonder how people are taxed properly if assets aren't public? |
Nnemuka:Dear Nairalanders. Let me try to enlighten you on why declaration of assets does not me jack shiit. There is a deeper problem and for some reason you all are ignoring it or just don't know. If you all don't know it makes it worse and definitely scary. As a citizen of Nigeria, it is your responsibility to pay taxes. For you to pay according to your worth, your income/assets should always be made assessible. If the state does not know your worth then how can they tax you properly? Asking someone to declare assets is both mo.ronic and s.tupid. The state and law enforcement agencies should have access to this without hindrance. The IRS will never come to ask you to declare your assets irrespective of position. They find your assets, and you can't hide from the IRS. President obama's taxes was made public this year. Think about that. Like i said, this is a deeper problem. Nigerian don't pay tax. And that, Ladies and gentlemen is not good for the Nation. |
major466:Therein lies the problem. you still don't understand. Why would anyone make such a pledge in the first place. Nigerians are naturally gullible and he gave you what you wanted to hear. I have never heard an american president make such a pledge. There is no need. If the law enforcement agencies are doing there jobs he won't have to. It's just like me saying "i pledge to pay my taxes". There is no need. If i don't, the IRS will definitely pursue me and hand me over to the appropriate authorities. Some things don't need to be said. The fact that he said it is a slap on law enforcement. If they are doing their jobs he won't have to. It should be a normal thing. But it's not in Nigeria. |
Sincere9gerian:what you all don't realize is that declaring assets would not matter if the law enforcement arm of the government was functioning properly. All assets should and always remain in the public domain for accessability. It's doesn't matter if you declare or not. You as an individual must explain where you got your wealth if called to do so at any time. Why Nigerians don't understand this beats me. There is a deeper problem which you all fail to admit. It is like people relying on jungle justice because the justice system has failed. A short cut to an existing problem. |
saxywale:Thousands of years ago. Not in 2015. |
agarawu23:Haba bros. you for consider we wey no be yoruba na. How you want make i take read all that . . .ni igba ti o fi ami si ori nkan to ko? |
And one . . . . will come out now and say " This nigerian tradition should be sustained". Please someone educate me on how this is normal. In this day and age we still allow this barbaric tradition to persist. God help Nigeria. |
chuna1985:Yeah. but, the op made it sound like the main source of her income was roasting corn. Come on man; think. You live in Nigeria. Do you actually think it's possible to build a 4 leveled bldg doing just that? So, she would not pay rent, feed herself, clothe herself. How much would roasting corn generate a day? If there was mention of a franchise i would probably believe it, but that in itself is not possible. roasted corn can be bought anywhere which would defeat the purpose of a franchise. If you believe it then good for you. The problem with NL is people just post nonsense topics every day with no verifiable source and almost everyone swallows it hook, line and sinker. I got one for you. "MEET THE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER WHO BOUGHT A ROLLS ROYCE WITH HIS SALARY" Please tell me you believe that. |
FlirtyKaren:It's very possible. In Lala land. I wonder if seun is paying all these ridiculous topics we keep getting these days. He must be. It's either you see "I thank God ooooo. My life will never be the same again. I'm FTC. Now i know i will go to heaven". Or a ridiculous topic like "meet the shinny coin i saw today". God help Nigerians. |
djembadjemba:Why does she look like a bull. Google "bull with ring through nose" and you'll see what i mean. |
fanficgirl:And you say it's barely windy. That city is probably the only city where you have to take in the wind factor into consideration as well as normal weather forecast. The fracking thing nearly made me loose control of my car one day. Good riddance to that fracking city though. P.s you brought back memories though. Old world. Chinese people and their enterprise. |
fanficgirl:which chicago are we talking about? |
macminista:They don't call it the windy city for nothing. ![]() |
mackzydon9:Roger that. |
mackzydon9:Shiit. Forget about it. Just saw your profile. Didn't know i was conversing with a 12 year old. My bad. No need to reply. |
mackzydon9:What has your rant got to do with the source of your claim that western countries have more sickness in their societies? |
mackzydon9:Source please. What i'm tracking is the life expectancy of a Nigerian is 52 years and the life expectancy of an American is 78 years. for a european it's 68 years. So i'm trying to figure out where you are getting your facts from. |
macminista:If na only winter e for good. That phucking wind is the worst thing on earth. |
lepasharon:No mind the OP. |
adeh39:Go to New york, dallas, atlanta, chicago, new orleans, nuremburg, paris, berlin, frankfurt, to name a few, then come back and re type your post. There are a thousand and one nigerian stores abound. You'all need to start going places. Your perspective will change. I promise you. |
