smoking weed, as he suddenly started shedding tears, has
already gone viral on social media.

According to the unidentified
man who started shedding tears after smoking his sweet
marijuana, he shed tears because the illicit drug was too sweet
during the consumption.

Governor of Kaduna state Nasir El Rufai has blamed the
Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) popularly known as
Shiites for refusing to recognise the main law of Nigeria.


Vanguard reports that El-Rufai said Shiites have denied
recognising Muhammadu Buhari as the president of the
country.


The governor says the state received the report of the Judicial
Commission of Inquiry that looked into the clashes between
the IMN and army which concluded that the IMN poses a
threat to the peace, security and good governance of Kaduna
state.


“The IMN does not recognise the constitution of Nigeria, they
do not recognise Buhari as president of Nigeria, they do not
recognise me as the Governor of Kaduna state.

Because they
have their governor, yes, they had, I think he was killed
during the clash,” he said.


According to him, the IMN apart from being an illegal
religious organisation was in the habit of harassing and
intimidating members of the public with impunity for several
years.


Explaining why he had to move against the movement El-
Rufai said the IMN was operating illegally and was moving
towards insurgency.


He added that IMN leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El Zakzaky was
not practising the doctrine of Shiism but was gathering
enough members in order to stage an Iranian-type Islamic
revolution in Nigeria.


‘’Because they do not recognise any law in Nigeria, IMN is
not registered with Corporate Affairs Commission.


So, they
cannot be sued or held responsible for their actions. They
build anywhere they find land, they do not even bother to
apply for land titles,’’ he added.

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of
Biafra (MASSOB) has lashed out at Igbo leaders for
abandoning Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra as he
remains in detention.


The Nation reports that the pro-Biafra group said it was
engaging in fasting and prayer as Kanu is set to appear in
court on December 1.


In a statement signed by Uchenna Madu who is the leader of
MASSOB, the group urged “the people of Biafra all over the
world to join them in praying, fasting and supplication for
our brothers and Biafran heroes.”


“We shall maintain our non-violence position in our quest.”

The group called on its supporters to intensify efforts for the
release of Kanu and other pro-Biafran detainees.


“We wish to inform our people that pro Biafra agitating
groups including MASSOB, IPOB and others remained the
political masquerade and pride of Ndigbo in Nigeria.


“Successive administrations of Nigerian government are
afraid of Ndigbo in the present Nigeria state because of the
activities and existence of MASSOB with the recent tempo of
IPOB,” the statement posited.


“Until Igbo leaders understand the efficacies, potencies and
political values of MASSOB, IPOB and others, they will never
progress politically in Nigeria. Today, major Igbo leaders
have abandoned Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Chidiebere Onwudiwe,
Benjamin Nwawuisi and Madubugwu of IPOB, Innocent Orji,
Sabastine Amadi, Uchenna Nicholas and 17 others of
MASSOB and Benjamin Onwuka and 12 others of BZM
because they thought that these men pose threat to their
political adventures in Nigeria or economic interest.



“Every revolutionary struggle has symbol of leadership and
motivation in its stages, though the individual personalities
may not be perfect. Some years back, Uwazuruike was in
this position until he derailed, today it is Nnamdi Kanu.


Ndigbo shall not abandon their own son because of

Authorities at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, have
confirmed the death of a final year student who reportedly
committed suicide.


A final year student of agricultural engineering at the
University of Nigeria, Nsukka, who is also reported to be a
participant of the Mavrodi Mondial Movement investment
scheme (MMM), has committed suicide.


Premium Times reports the student, identified as
Tobechukwu Okeke was found on Sunday morning,
November 27, dangling from a rope in his room at
Odenigwe, a community in Nsukka, Enugu state.



The deceased was said to have left a note behind where he
apologised to his family, according to accounts by a
neighbor close to the family.



The contents of the note read:

“Mother, Father, brother, I’m
sorry. Ify, may your children never suffer. Uncle Mathias,
you gave me all. I am sorry. Death calls. Linguistic
department, I am sorry. Okeke Tobechukwu S.
2012/185649,” the neighbour, who did not want to be
named, quoted
Though the cause of Mr. Okeke’s death is yet to be
ascertained, some of his neighbours suggested that he was
in debt, some said he was tired of schooling, others
attributed his suicide to the loss of money in a network
business he invested into.


The deceased’s last Facebook posts showed he had been
involved in the controversial MMM scheme as he used his
account to advertise the scheme.


His last post, in September, read: “MMM is enriching lives of
millions of Nigerians everyday. If you care to join or you
have any questions please send me a message or comment
below.”


One of the deceased’s colleagues, who also did not want to
be named, said he was given an electrical wiring job to do at
the department of linguistics in the university, because of his
expertise in electrical works.


“I saw him this (Sunday) morning, he seemed to have a
problem which he needed money to solve,” the colleague
added.


The university authorities have also confirmed the incident,
but said the family had not officially informed the institution.


Uju Umo, the university’s dean of student affairs said: “I
travelled for a burial last weekend and yesterday I got a text
message saying a student had committed suicide.”


“It happened at Odenigwe, one of the host communities
outside the school and I was told he left a suicide note
apologising to his fellow gamblers.”



Similarly, Chukwu Emmanuel, the university’s student union
president, also confirmed the incident, and said the matter
was being investigated.


“There’s no concrete details for now,” he added.


People close to the deceased described him as a comedian
who always used jokes to awake sleeping students during
night classes.



“He used to go around to classes at night to crack jokes and
encourage students to forget their worries and focus,” a
friend told Premium Times.
