Politics › Re: Why Buhari Must Do Another NNPC Audit - Cramjones by Boss13: 10:17am On Apr 29, 2015
I agree with the poster above me. A total overhaul is required rather than an audit, except the president-elect, intends to recover stolen wealth and if this is the case, then a thorough audit from inception should be carried out and not specific period in order not to be portrayed as been vindictive.

Afterwards, Government stakes in NNPC should be sold out and the corporation should be commercialized. An oversight public entity should be set up to oversee the oil and gas industry.
Politics › Re: Why Buhari Must Do Another NNPC Audit - Cramjones by Boss13: 9:22am On Apr 29, 2015
Cramjones, I am disappointed with your post after reading it. PWC is an international auditing firm - This is a forensic audit and it is different from a regular audit which is conducted in accordance with specified auditing standards either International Standards of Audit (ISA) or any preferred standard as recommended by the jurisdiction in view. The difference between a forensic audit and a regular audit lies in the user of the audit report. PWC made a disclaimer that the report is mainly for the consumption of the Auditor-General of the Federation, the principal, who hired it and any third-parties who rely on the report do so at their own will.

I have no problem with majority of the people on that list.My only concern is obasanjo. If baba wants to rule well,he should thread carefully with Baba Iyabo. That man is so cunning that he makes even the tortoise jealous.
In all, we eagerly await The Buhari presidency and its crystal clear that even if he fails, it can never be as bad as Pdp's 16 years of misrule.
History, they said, is a good teacher. It is better to be in the good books of Obasanjo than in his bad books. Those who go against him never succeeds - you can ask Jonathan and even Tinubu, who pleaded vehemently to Baba for forgiveness.

Whether you like it or not, Obasanjo is the Godfather of Modern Nigerian Politics
Politics › Re: N40 Pump Fuel Price Is My Figure, Not Buhari’s, Says David-west by Boss13: 9:22am On Apr 24, 2015
bushdoc9919:
If you read what he actually said....he said that fuel can come down to N40 if all the refineries were working AT full capacity....not a minimal capacity.(and even then we may still need some new refineries.).

Something which Dizzy and her oga failed to do over the last 6 years.
Six (6) YEARS - that is a lot of time for positive development and none was felt in the Oil and Gas sector. All I hear and read is local content. What is local content - to me, it is a way to further enrich wealthy Nigerians and redirect the oil and gas sector to these few wealthy Nigerians.

The Chinese. You just have to give it to them. They are born hustlers, even better than the Jews. Buhari is not even sworn in yet, and they are patronizing him. Good if they can implement that tube station with trains.

Obiagelli:
I have spent several days searching for the achievements of the present minister of petroleum, i have not found any. Someone should please help me out here.

We would like to know how many pipelines she laid

how many percent has she increased the capacity our refineries

Her achievements on LNG

Major reform she has successfully completed.

I hate to think this woman has done nothing in her reign as minister.
I believe your post is wrongly written. Of course, she must have achieved some things, however, these achievements may only affect 10% of the entire Nigerian populace.
Politics › Re: We’ll Regain Power In 2019 – PDP by Boss13: 9:26am On Apr 23, 2015
First, Buhari must ensure INEC is thoroughly independent and consolidate on the good works implemented by Jega. The card readers must be perfected and ensure that rigging elections would turn out to be mere imaginations. Second, Buhari must deliver on his promises to the electorate and ensure its administration is devoid of the negative attributes that drowned Jonathan and the PDP.

PassingShot:
By the time Buhari's Administration is fully in charge, Nigerians will be surprised at many mind boggling revelations that will come out from the outgoing government.

I am very sure that we probably do not know about more than 50% of atrocities committed by GEJ and his cohorts.

Let's wait and see as things unfold.
We know too but it should not be used as an excuse for non-performance. Nigerians deserve to know the truth. A sincere government tells it's citizens the truth rather than operate in secrecy.

grin

Okonjo surprises me... Am amazed at how she climbed so high at the world bank really.... She seems less knowledgeable than a PhD student at the university of Ibadan in matters of Economics ...
NOI is a pack load of surprises. I was elated when Jonathan made the announcement on her being the coordinating minister of the economy and I said, for once Nigeria will get it right. I was wrong. Her first shocking moment was Sure-P and I was like - WTF. This is what Venture Capitalist do in developed countries. Then there was Subsidy fraud and the heap of frauds emanating from the Jonathan's administration and each time these fraud cases appear on front page, I asked myself is NOI still part of that administration or is she a co-conspirator too?
Politics › Re: David-west To Okonjo-iweala: Buhari Doesn’t Need Your Advice by Boss13: 5:00pm On Apr 17, 2015
Nail on the head David West. Nail on the head. You cannot advise someone when you have done a poor job. NOI thinks it's about raising taxes to shore up revenue, whilst there are numerous leakages and corruption affecting revenue generating government institutions. She must acknowledge that she and her team did a poor job on a macroeconomic level. It is not about Integrated Payment Systems alone and statistically rebasing or redefining the GDP, but stimulating the economy for real economic growth.

EMMAACHILE:
It works like an Android device with kodi /xbmc installed. You can install programs from playstore, watch YouTube, even read your mails on your TV. It is a supersmart device and needs lots of data.
Data consumption is not fixed. It's higher for HD channels. Average should be from 250mb to 500mb per hour.
On a serious note, it consumes data and requires high-speed internet especially for High Definition (HD) content . I want to discuss with my ISP today to increase my speed to 30mbps. According to reviews, 30mbps seems to be the minimum for HD content and most of the content/channels are HD, some are even 4Ks (4 times HD). Why I am interested in this because of space for a 4.5 - 5 meter dish (I don't want issues with neighbours) and also IPTV is the future of television. I understand Apple is working seriously on TV content and in the next 10 years IPTV will surmount regular terrestrial and satellite Television.

I must confess that I was able to get the regular foreign stations like Sky Movies, Fox Movies, MBC e.t.c and the regular shows like Games of Thrones, Mad Men, Blue Blood, The Big Band theory, Breaking Bad, N.C.I.S, The Simpsons etc and New Movie releases are also stored up on Kodi/XMBC. Since I started researching on it, I have been amazed and hooked. However, like I complained, many contents are HD contents though some have Standard Definition or low-quality content. Hence, it requires super fast internet connection and plenty of Gigabytes.

From my personal research, reviews and channels content observed from my laptop, I think I would give it a trial; because the channel contents are better than DSTV's contents, crispier in terms of picture quality and it is free too. You only worry about Internet subscription and speed. On the other hand, I am still contemplating on which Android TV box is the best and if it is readily available in Nigeria.

What you need is an Android box. I will post links later. Price range from 50 to 150 us dollars depending on specs.

If you still want to connect a MacBook to a hdmi port, then you need something like this a mini display adapter
http://store.apple.com/us/product/HFQL2VC/A/moshi-mini-displayport-to-hdmi-adapter-4k?fnode=51
Ok thanks for your response. Can I get the android box in Nigeria here? I don't want to connect the HDMI adapter to my laptop. I used it for work. Thanks for your response.

Apple got too innovative and decided to take out HDMI ports from their macbooks. So unfortunately, I don' t have a HDMI port. I would prefer a decoder because it would make it better. Can you help please?
