Hello Guys, I saw this thread because I wanted something better than DSTV. I must say that many of those who comment or open threads on this section are not helpful, but quite a few go a long way. Based on this, I decided to read a couple of threads though I am still confused, but I picked a few things, went to google and expanded the research. I can confirm now that I can watch Sky channels and some other foreign stations on my Macbook Pro via Kodi TV. However, I have not been able to move this to my TV and there are still challenges of internet speed. I have threatened my ISP and they have responded better by increasing my speed to up to 4 - 5mpbs, however, I still get a few buffering challenges. I would be glad if I can get a powerful IPTV decoder and connect it to my TV, likewise ensure that no buffering problems occur.

Below are a few of the channels I can view.

I forgot to add that business took me to Alaba today and my God, the traffic is something else. I don't think I will repeat my visit. I asked around and was told they cannot get me an IPTV decoder and nobody in the market watches Sky TV. I don't know if this is true but because I was not there primarily for decoders, I could not investigate further.

PStacks:
I know Reuters don't report crap..

This is serious. Thank God the PDP has been put to shame.

You are right. Reuter and AP are one of the most credible news agencies in the world. I read this news in Saharareporters. I had doubts, but we have to be fair, Saharareporters having been doing a great jobs uncovering secret information. Reading this from Reuter just confirms the news.

What is the basis of increasing VAT when the tax collection process is not effectively implemented. There are leakages in FIRS and that should be closed. Customs is a cabal and the practices there are horrific. I understand that each custom officers are given target and once these targets are achieved, the extra revenue goes into their personal pockets. This is absolutely wrong. NNPC is like a drug cartel in nigeria, their secretive operations are just unbelievable. The corporation seems to operate as if it is a country to itself.

Ngozi, permit me to call you that, it is only when you have effectively put these institutions to use and they are efficient in their duties, then you can think of increasing government revenue by increasing taxes. Madam, you should know that by increasing VAT, the prices of goods and services would skyrocket and that would create another problem - inflation and also electorate apathy.

davodyguy:
IPTV again?

Anything wrong with it?

Eko hospital is at it again, They only have name, but medically and professionally, they have lost it...All d so called doctors and nurses are blood suckers and hv little regards to peoples life. I lost 2 close friend in that hospital. Govt needs to shut dat so-called hospital down

Sorry for your lost. The best we can do is to name and shame them and inform the general public to avoid such places. I am very aware of Havannah and I want to thank you for informing us on Eko Hospital.

On the other hand, we have civil servants clamouring that Buhari should not retrench them. How effective has the civil service and other government parastatals been to the country. We have so many rots in our society, we cut corners yet pay the price. A functioning health minister should be tracking down and seizing the licences of death-wish hospitals and their doctors.

They are short sighted people. What will happened to the nigerians working in those companies if they leave.

People don't like to mind their business. Amebo everywhere

There is a difference between criticize and judge. Who cannot replace good morals with immoralities. When something is bad in the society, it should be addressed. It is her life but some little kids are watching too.

The deputy governor should resign. That is the honorable thing to do the moment you are not in good terms with your boss. You cannot defect to another political party and expect to maintain the same seat and office. It is a shame that the deputy governor is still in office. He should resign immediately before the impeachment messes him up.

These people are the ones spoiling this country. They turned PDP into a party of the elite, by the elite and for the elite

bomboyi:
Do not buy this decoder, I bought one it only worked for 3 months and stop. I put an email to them, they reply that the sale in Nigeria is so low that is why they switch off the African server.

Thanks for the update

Good to know the kids are alive and back to their parents. However, what is the outcome of the nanny. I hope she is with the police.

This is no political but rather an economic policy driven by the cbn

THIS MAN IS BEGINNING TO TALK TOO MUCH.

NA EMPTY KPANGOLO DE MAKE NOISE PASS

hugman:
Strong gs6hd is a legal product sold anywhere openly, those from lag check Alaba mkt,

Hugman, you did not answer my question

Well tam west, the talk is too much. just become the petroleum minister again and drive down the cost to 40 naira

Hi hugman, I am really interested in this iptv. I have done some research based on your recommendation and have also installed kodi tv, formally Xbmc. I can now watch some foreign channel on my MacBook pro and yesterday I compared the picture quality of sky sports 1 with super sport, little difference. However, I noticed that some channels especially the sky movies do not open up and some itv channels. Also, it buffers but this can be easily resolved by my Internet provider.

Hugman, I want to know if I would be able to watch all sky stations (movies and sports) and the other foreign stations if I get the box you recommended, where I can get the box and the cost price. I also don't mind paying subscription but I don't want to experience hitches. I am particular about sky stations and its stations. I miss them a lot.

Thanks

Gbawe, I think the blame lies soley with Obasanjo.

He should not have handpicked Yar'adua knowing fully well he had health challenges neither should he have handpicked Jonathan who mere looking at him is obviously clueless not forgetting his illiterate wife.

Obasanjo had the opportunity to choose from several fit, healthy, intelligent and credible people to succeed him but he chose the worst. Assuming he had chosen Atiku for example (I'm glad he didn't though), PDP won't be in this mess today. Donald Duke was also an option.

After wrecking PDP thanks to his choice of candidates, he has now abandoned them.

I hope APC stops fratenising with Obasanjo. That old fox cannot be trusted.

This has nothing to do with Obasanjo. Once you are in that seat, it is at your own discretion to provide the electorates what they require of you and the electorates can exercise their civic right based on your performance. Goodluck, as the national leader of the PDP, destroyed the PDP party by not reconciling warring factions and by allowing disintegration of the party. This is not about winning an election or allowing a free and fair election; which should be the case automatically. However, Goodluck allowed aggrieved members to defect to the opposition and made the opposition stronger. He and the PDP stalwarts should be held responsible for the massive defeat of the PDP.

I am also grateful to God that at least the votes of the electorates now counts, despite the irregularities that occurred in some states. I also want to correct an anomaly being represented on Goodluck conducting a free and fair election. The process actually began with the late President Yaradua, after widespread condemnation from both International and local observers on the 2007 elections. However, we must be grateful to President Goodluck for consolidating the process and likewise, for conceding defeat. I also want to add that President Goodluck was left with no option than to concede defeat, if he had chosen otherwise, there would have been tension in the country and he would also be held responsible for it by the international court of justice.

Now, it is up to the President-Elect to implement proper democracy structures because, unfortunately, we have never had a true democracy. Nigeria is currently experiencing civil rule but not a true democracy. A true democracy is one where institution works without interference.

hugman:
You can get all those channels free just download mobdro into your Android phone

Ok thanks. I would prefer it on my TV. How possible is that?

Dear hugman, I asked a question and it appears that my question was ignored. Please I would like to know if I can watch sky tv, ITV and BT on IPTV even if I pay subscription.

THERE IS NOTHING LIKE SPIRITUAL HUSBAND OR WIFE. YOU GUYS SHOULD STOP THESE NONSENSE.

This is beautiful. It encourages the women folks but she has to outperform the men so that the nigerian polity can believe more in women.

Hugman how does this work? Can I watch Sky TV, ITV and foreign cable TV with? I need more details. Please assist.

I just called the number now. The owner of the number is a nice guy and was willingly to help. I explained my challenge which is the 4.5m dish. I currently have spectranet 4g in my house and he confirmed that it is sufficient, however, I would need an IPTV decoder and a software that would upload all the SKY TV and ITV channels.

Guys, I would need more details on this. I do not want to appear selfish by using a 4.5m dish and have my estate management doing me a letter of inconveniences.

I would be very grateful if I get the assistance. As previously stated, I would not be doing the installation myself but just need some form of assurance. I also do not mind contracting it out to whoever explains to me in layman's term the materials I need, the cost involved and the benefits.

Thanks again and especially to Lukman.

Arelukman:
Call dis number for any information 07054393334 ...

Arelukman:

Thanks. I think I would need an installer, I do not venture into things that are not within my expertise. I would also like to know how much because I intend to get this installed very quickly.

Trueigbo:
yes you are right. somebody said so in the closed thread. he is here again. they used to comment and view the thread almost the same time.since that thread was closed u hardly see them(missmekwo n baronspicy-his last post was sept 9 when he was exposed).

there is nothing wrong having the agents here. pls tell ur people to reduce the monthly chargeoooooo. its too high. people will embrace dstv if their fee is ok and forget about dongle wahala.

come to think of it, why are we trying to code our discussion when qsat is discussed openly in other forums.coding or no coding, a dedicated dstv agent in this thread will decode.

I know nothing about satellite TV other than pay my DSTV subscription and watch cable TV, but from reading this thread which is presumed to be coded, I can pick a couple of few things (flying to london via china airline on ticket numbers). Any agent can decode what you are trying to hide. It is either you talk or don't talk or talk in computer binary numbers e.g (0112331).

spartacus11:
Not a bad idea though, but such is not available, if it was it could have been the deand of the day no mather the cost, but noting is impossible to achieve for now shall that level nor pure its still an illusion, but I know some day it will be possible, because the world is really advancing

Cars was an illusion as some point but now very common. If I was in the satellite business, I would be looking at this. Either talking to my chinese manufacturers (those chinese people are awesome). Regardless, I just need help with the SKY TV stuff.

spartacus11:
SMART DISH KE

Laughs yes, everything is turning smart - SMART TV, SMART PHONES, SMART CARS (Mercedes has developed a car that can drive itself). So I believe a SMART dish should be created, small but powerful. If it is available please educate me. I no jack about this.

EMMAACHILE:
Iks means internet key sharing. Google it for more detail.
It means you buy an account and use a data service to watch the encrypted channel.
There are many decoders with IKS functionality such as Qsat, Esat, Azsky, Speed HD S1 etc.

Learn more here. https://www.nairaland.com/1904617/all-internet-key-sharing-iks

Thanks Emma. You seem to be very experience with this. Though, I am still confused due to the technicalities involve, however, you have been able to clear some doubts in me. I will try to do more research on IKS and revert back with more questions. I'm getting excited already. My only concern is space for the 4.5 meter dish.

Can a smaller dish do? Something like a smart dish, if available.

EMMAACHILE:
The best will always be the official decoder but the subscription is high with the cheapest bundle + sports package as from 46 pounds monthly.
If you have a Qsat or any other sunplus decoder, you could get a good iks account for it.
This topic would be more suited for the iks thread and not here.

What is IKS?

EMMAACHILE:
Yes it's possible but ask him which decoder he is recommending, official or non-official

Which decoder is better and the benefits accrued. I do not want monthly subscription plan like DSTV (I am tired of those guys).

grandlexuz:
Thank you very much bros.. However Cameroon does not belong to the ECOWAS zone although we have a long standing relationship with Naija.. Despite my wanting to move to Naija I don't have any friends of relations there. The idea of making a short trip there to see things before hand is good. Thanks!

Your english is good for a francophone citizen. I am aware Cameroon is not part of ECOWAS, hence you would need resident permit to carry out business here. Your embassy in Nigeria would be of great help to you. On an honest note, Nigeria can be a loose country for aliens/immigrants. However, I would advice against doing things illegally, because the moment you turn out to be successful, your competitors would exploit ways to kick you out of business and that includes deportation.

Any business can be successful in Nigeria, it requires persistence, tenacity and ability to respond to change. The used-vehicle industry is a bit congested in Nigeria. To me, it is a sole proprietorship business, there is no barrier to entry, poor regulation and a good number of competitors. On the other hand, Nigerians will only engage in businesses that are profitable. Furthermore, the country is in the process of implementing a new auto policy that would encourage the production and demand for new vehicles. This is the competition you should be afraid of (substitute goods/products).

If you are ready to jump into the ocean without any conflicting thoughts, then I would advice that you study the market/industry and offer what your competitors cannot offer. That would be your niche/selling point.

You are welcome to Nigeria.
