ERCROSS:I don't know about this because he may not become a president of this country but will continue to make the Yoruba race relevant. Political leaders will no longer ignore the wishes of the Yoruba people and they know if they want to win the south west, jagaban is the man to meet. That is the mistake the Igbo people are making busy selling their conscience for a pot of gold. Likewise I will keep insisting that he is greater than awolowo. Like it or not, he is the new face and leader of the Yoruba people; appreciate the man and make him more relevant. |
Yes Obasanjo is very relevant and a good campaigner plus he has good relationship with political elites. The man has staunch supporters and friends (home and abroad). The worst thing jonathan did was ignore his advice and listen to wicked aides trying hard to severe their relationship. Obasanjo saw all these and warned him. Please read his books you will understand better |
People would lose their jobs of course. Mbu is gone, he should leave another should be Ogar but Buhari should be careful not to heat the polity in order to impress the public |
ilugunboy:Well that's my own opnion. I know many Yorubas will not agree but I think the yoruba race should rally round Tinubu. Though he is not appreciated by his own people but he has made the voice of the Yorubas very loud politically. Like you said, he is pragramatic, he studied awolowo mistakes and imbibe awolowo's strength. From a mere governor to a political giant, you have to respect the man. Buhari is the winner, but jagaban is the architect, the strategist, the designer, the visionary, the man who saw tomorrow and believe. He is responsible for consolidating our democracy and returning power to the people. The day APC was formed was when I started respecting him, how he convinced the 5 PDP rebel governors to join him earned him my admiration and the way he convinced Obasanjo to quietly endorsed them, though he wanted more was an icing on the cake. Tinubu has elevated himself to a political godfather. The president recognized that and tried to sway him away, if he had bulge that was the end for APC. To me he is greater than awolowo. |
We thank God |
Them don settle their quarrel |
Jonathan wasted so much money. He would have saved us some good cash if only he had done the right thing |
He is greater than awolowo - my own opnion. In him lies the relevance of the yoruba race politically. The great strategist, a visionary, a wise one and foremost - a political godfather I don't like him but I strongly admire and respect him. His actions forces you to respect him. This sweet victory was made possible because of him |
My own opnion - the victory was actually won by tinubu. He saw it, he had a dream and he made it happen. Without him, PDP would still be the ruling party and other parties struggling for relevance. Jagaban, master strategist. Though you have hidden behind, you are a true political godfather |
I have to say the truth, just like I have been outspoken against president jonathan, this is nonsense. These are the same men that brought shame to jonathan. President buhari should be mindful of them. I remember vividly how they romance jonathan. He must curb these men out and serve the people |
Laughs |
This is a good one. We know Enugu state results did not truly reflect the wishes of the electorate. Don't worry the general is here is restore things |
I remember feeling insulted when a PDP chieftain said PDP will rule nigeria for the next 60 years - Hmm the nigerian people have responded. Sorry PDP, you are not God |
Jonathan has conceded defeat. He has called Buhari to congratulate him. Source - BBC |
Borno the last. The icing on the cake. This victory is for the internal displace persons suffering for no sins of theirs |
Trust me, this is where Buhari will do well. |
JONATHAN IS THE WORST PRESIDENT, THIS COUNTRY HAS PRODUCED. |
This country will burn down if even a different result is announced. That is how tensed the country is now. |
Horrlah:You are making a mistake my daughter to pick on a particular tribe, you have forgotten that they are Niger Deltans (Edos, Deltans, Rivers etc); you have also forgotten that they are middle-belt residents in Lagos. It is not just the Igbos alone. Do not fall into that trap. These minority groups are very powerful. They only thing the Lagos politicians can do is create positions for them so that they do not become politically outspoken. |
I want to use this opportunity to draw the attention of APC chieftains. They should not neglect the wishes of minority groups. You can ask the Republicans. These groups can form a political party and challenge the majority so that their voices can be heard. Also, you cannot fight them with arms because it is a criminal offence and jail time awaits such person(s). APC should begin to create political positions for these groups in order to calm their nerves and ambition. They should know they are dealing with very ambitious tribes, who are creating a niche for themselves. The Presidential election have shown that they have a voice. The Governorship election might even spring a surprise just because they feel their voices need to be heard. Respect their wishes, their decision and their voice. Do not ignore them on the premise that they are non-indigenes. You might escape 2015; but 2019 would be tougher. |
leisuretym:A yoruba man can contest based on the constitution but like we all know, yorubas do not like to travel except civil servants who were posted to those locations. |
stonecoldcafe:The constitution makes provision for this. Once a resident, who is a non-indigene, has stayed in a location for 10 years or was given birth in that location, automatically he can contest for any electoral seat |
Horrlah:Nigeria belongs to everybody and not for a particular tribe. If you do not perform and alleviate the suffering of the masses, must they vote for you on the basis of tribal sentiments - NO. These Igbos are resident of Lagos, many are even citizens due to their birth. You cannot deny a man his right. Wake up daughter. |
A good one. Truly our democracy is growing. Mark my word, one day we shall have an Igbo Governor in Lagos State. |
Laughs. Even a baby would laugh at this result. Let's see what Jega would say |
Oga Shut up. We know there will be death. That is nigeria politics |
ARE YOU STILL IN THIS COUNTRY? GO AND CHECK THE NEWS |
henryangelo:I think the reverse will be the case. PDP will be the one going to court. They are now the opposition party. Let them taste their own medicine. |
