Note that most Unis (if not all) do take attendance as well so they can report who's breaching immigration rules

Jayvallia:
Please guys. I am doing an MSC and it appears I have lectures everyday. Is it compulsory to attend every lecture? How then do you work?

Maintenance funds covers this so you don't necessarily need am.

assumpta1:
Please do I need to include proof of accommodation when applying as dependant? We are yet to secure accommodation there and we plan to get bed & breakfast for the first few days.

Thanks for your help so far wink

You (sirgigs) can apply to bring a dependant to the UK if those 3 bullet points are met tongue

sirgigs:
The part that has to do with Dependants. I am not clear about the bullet points below;

*Sponsored by a higher education institution on a course at level 7 on the Ofqual register or above that lasts 9 months

How does a Higher education Institution sponsor my Dependants?
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 3:36pm On Sep 17, 2019
Just noticed you've actually loaded before lol.

From all the 3 points you listed, you fall into that category.

I would have translated in your language but not sure which you speak grin

gratefulme40:
Thanks for responding

Yes, I have seen that and uploaded it before
I just need to be clear with regards to the very last sentence there

1.I currently have a tier 2 leave to remain since my application was made and granted with the UK
2.In my COS, my sponsor ticked find maintenance for me and the COS is still valid
3. My sponsor is A rated and I didn’t submit any proof of fund maintenance

With the above three points, does it mean that I don’t need to submit proof of fund for my spouse.

English is not my papa language, when it comes to this immigration grammar, sometimes, I just need someone else to help me understand

gratefulme40:
Hi People
Bikonu eh.... I am doing my dependant’s application, I have just renewed my tier2 and the COS which I used for my renewal is still valid and it certified fund maintenance for me.

My question is, do I still need to attach account statement to my spouse’s application to show fund maintenance being that my COS hasn’t expired, besides, what I renewed is “Tier 2 Leave to remain and not “Leave to enter”

Don’t even know if I am making sense but sha.... you people understand.

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 11:11am On Sep 17, 2019
The situation (as far as you've said) is you having different opinions about applying together or separately unless there's more to it.

If he hasn't, then you can submit together. As simple as ABC

assumpta1:
He has submitted a form for CAS or so. He has not applied for visa. You won’t understand my situation o cry
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 10:57am On Sep 17, 2019
This your level of confusion no get part 2 oo grin. You really need to calm down.

Has he submitted and paid? If not, just amend and he can put in your details. (Obviously with the appropriate maintenance )

If he has however submitted and paid, you will have to wait till he gets his BRP.

There's nothing confusing about this. He's not left yet you are missing him already smiley

assumpta1:
I’m so confused. As it is now I have to wait till he gets his visa. But I don’t even know if I should apply before he leaves or when he gets to the UK. When will be the best time to apply?
@justwise abeg no vex
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 10:40am On Sep 17, 2019
Read from page 1 and it will give you a picture of how the whole process is like. All the best smiley

assumpta1:
Yes I am I don’t know about all these things so going through the process alone is another issue.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 10:26am On Sep 17, 2019
Are you again worried if you apply separately grin?

assumpta1:
He selected No. Left alone to me we would have applied together but you know it was beginning to get confusing with the so called people that claims to have been applying for people and insisted that it is better to apply separately.
But do you know if anybody has successfully applied and gotten the visa after the partner got his/her own?
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 9:54am On Sep 17, 2019
If you haven't submitted, it can be amended.

Otherwise you will have to wait till he gets to the UK before applying 'cos he needs to send you a copy of his BRP

assumpta1:
Can I apply as soon as he gets his visa? Or will I have to wait till he gets to the UK before applying seeing that we already filled the form that he’s not applying with his dependant.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 9:42am On Sep 17, 2019
This is so untrue. UKVI rules are simple. It's either you meet up with the requirements or not. The latter obviously is grounds for refusal.

At the end of the day, it's up to you really as I cannot decide for you. Either together or separate, it doesn't make any difference whatsoever.

Even if you want to go for good, you are not the first lol and wouldn't be the last. Visiting visas fall more in this category than any point based visas.

assumpta1:
People have been saying that the chances of rejection is high if we apply together as they might think we are going for good. That is not the case at all. What do you advise? When should I apply? I’m getting fed up.

TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 8:15am On Sep 17, 2019
Why are you listening to different opinions and not stick with the Tier 4 depandant rules? There is a reason why the guidance is online. Out of curiosity, what different opinions have you heard?

As long as maintenance is met when applying together (or even separately), it doesn't make any difference.

assumpta1:
Hi guys. So because of the different opinions here and there I won’t be applying with my husband. In fact he already submitted the form where he was asked if he’s applying with a dependant. My question is can I still apply as a dependant later? And also how soon can I apply after he gets his visa? Before he leaves or after?

I will suggest you do both.

coolsec:
Oh ok .. so should I get the documents all ready, when I am about applying for a visa ? Or I wait for the decision from RGU ..because I applied for a course.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 9:30pm On Sep 16, 2019
Whether scholarship or PhD, the fact is you breached immigration rules and this even comes with a 10 year ban (forgot to mention earlier).

As for the bolded, there are 'exceptional circumstances' like Family life.

coolsec:
Even if I get a scholarship? Or even going for a phd ? Uk will refuse ?I have people that were deported and still uk grants them visa.. I lost a cousin then at white Chapel hospital , reason for my over stay
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 8:37pm On Sep 16, 2019
It is unlikely you will be successful in your Tier 4 application as it's a criminal offence to overstay unless you have a VERY GOOD reason for overstaying.

If RGU is aware of your immigration history, they wouldn't even issue you a CAS.

coolsec:
@justwise Pls advice me on this , I overstayed my 6 months (with an additional 2 months) visiting visa to uk 3 years ago was served an overstayer form at point of exit , ( wasnt deported, i willingly booked a flight back ) and was asked to include form anytime I want to apply for any visa in uk which i haven't over the years , I just applied for a MSc in Public health at RGU , will this give me issue when Re applying for a student visa of am giving admission ??
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 9:04pm On Sep 11, 2019
Companies vary and if they are unenlightened about these visas, there's simply no one can do o. Explanation will just be in vain.

There HR law says minimum ILR so saying depandant wouldn't work o. I'm pretty sure you will get something even better smiley

Aphrodite007:
Wow.

Tbf, I can understand tier 1 or tier 2. But I don’t need their sponsorship. So why are they worried if I’m on ILR or spousal? Can I also call mine a dependent visa? I really liked that job offer- it’s as if they copied and pasted my CV. It’s paining anyhow that I was turned down due to frivolities.

Good evening House..

kindly, can i get a tuition for of 4k Pounds Yearly in UK for Masters?

God bless u all as i seek your opinion...
TravelRe: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Bourne007(m): 8:53pm On Sep 11, 2019
A bit odd! Some companies can be scared of those on 'leave to remain' 'cos they worry anything can happen while ILR is a guarantee.

I remember when a company calls me then and I say Tier 4 depandant, they never call or email back just 'cos of the Tier 4 restrictions. But when they call and I say Depandant visa, they proceed with my application lol thinking it's a Tier 1 or 2.

Aphrodite007:
People o, I have come again.

Is it right to turn me down for a job because I am on spousal visa? They said that I must be on ILR. No, it’s not a security company, they said it’s just their HR law.
shocked

If you had recounted 28 days, wouldn't you have missed Monday as well?

Press them I'm pretty sure they will issue. Isn't there late registration?

If I recall, application form doesn't even ask if one is pregnant or not and this is what happens when you provide information not required.

My advice: It's point based visa so stick with the documents on your checklist. Baby not born yet so doesn't qualify to be dependant.

dannycrane77:
hello guys pls I need urgent answers from any1 knowledgeable in this area assist me with list of any additional document my pregnant cousin applying for a tier4 visa Phd student. Should include in her application after starting she’s pregnant to avoid visa rejection.

Then she will have to study and practise the new area which might cost more.

Instructor ideally should have advised. I remember there were 2 areas. One had hills and the other was flat. Even though the hilly area was close, instructor told me to go for the flat area

spacyzuma:
Sorry o.
I think the best tip is to look for a postcode that has a higher success rate of passing the test. I saw an article on bbc some months ago about it.
These areas are usually some distance away from city centres and have less traffic. Also pick a time that avoids rush hour (eg between 11am - 2pm)

I'm in scotland and passed on my 3rd attempt, despite doing it in an area close to traffic.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Bourne007(m): 12:38pm On Aug 28, 2019
Why don't you do it this way ....

Pay the "remaining balance" as part of your tuition fee so it reflects on CAS so you don't have to recount 28 days again.

Hope that makes sense

1. Visa will be valid for the duration of your Masters degree and for a further four months after you complete your course. So 2 yrs + 4 months

2. Yes

3. Yes

To all gurus in the house, Please I have these questions to ask;

1. I am applying for a full time masters program of 2 years which is 2 session. How many years visa will I be given by UKVI?

2. Will I need maintenance fee of maximum of 9 months like others with 1 year program, or more?

3. If yes to question 2. Will Same applicable to my dependents?

The dates of the items of correspondence should be spread evenly over the whole 2 years. If you submit online, you will get the attached checklist. I uploaded 8 acceptable items spread evenly over 2 years of which I lived in 2 different addresses.

If you've lived in 3 different places over 2 years, the same will apply

Benz101:
Good evening everyone,

My spouse visa will be expiring soon. I want to enquire about proof of address. My husband and I have moved address 3 times. Do we need to provide 6 proof of address for each of us for individual houses we lived in? or Do we spread the 6 proof of address for the various houses?
Your kind advise is highly appreciated.

One can switch visas anytime which has no implications.

After completing your MSc, you still have another 4 months left so why are you in a hurry?

Nairalander19:
Greetings to everyone. Please can I change to spousal visa before finishing my MSc course as I am just resuming for my 2nd semester, or I should wait till I finish my dissertation? Is there any implication for not completing my tier 4 visa course before changing my student visa to spousal visa? Thank you
