I wish I knew this when I was about getting married. My dad died many years ago and when I met my husband to be, an uncle tried to delay the process (by genuinely advising that I slow down), all in the name of making inquiries but I dismissed him claiming he wanted to come up with excuses that does not exist because his daughters were way older than me and still unmarried. Mind you, I had just met my husband about 2months and already fixing wedding). Remember the saying that what an adult sees seeing can never be seen by a child who climbs an iroko tree. Never saw he meant well. Long story short, hubby is not a bad person but existing in his family is hell.

You and your finacée have a duty to try and convince your parents, especially your mum on what you feel for each other. Your fiancée has a duty to learn to show her love to make her dismiss whatever stereotype she has. Let her understand that if she accepts your fiancée after this, she would never regret it and will laugh last.

That's a wrong assumption. If you look well before choosing your friends, based on your values, you will be shocked at how far the friendship can go.

I have friends who I still relate very well with, starting from very young age, as a teen. I'm in my 40s now and we still roll like sisters. I can count at least about 8of them.

Dear Hon Minister, the policy failed right from when "our special representatives" and other initial cases were allowed into the country and asked to self-isolate, without monitoring.

What we are currently doing with the returnees was what I expected the Govt to have done long before now. The negligent policies of our Government brought us to where we currently are.

My advice: she will naturally add weight after a while but the big question is whether the OP is ready to take chances.

It's difficult but I want to stand with the boyfriend. Don't get me wrong. My main concern is with the hours of work. A 10:00am to 10:00pm job is honestly not ideal for a parent, especially a mother, and given that both partners come home late, this is a disaster waiting to happen especially as regards raising the kids.

I am a working class lady, with an 8:00am-4:00pm job and married with three kids. I must confess that it is a lot of work to raise (responsible and God-fearing) kids.

As much as I don't think staying jobless is advisable here, I think the lady might consider settling for a more flexible job or line of business, that will still earn her some money and afford her the time to be with her family and raise them the way she ought to.

Judging from my experience, a lot of things would have gone wrong in my home if I don't spend time with the kids. Sometimes, it's is not all about money. Unfortunately, our society places so much value on materials things and that's why we are where we are today.

See what Covid-19 has caused. Idleness is not good at all. To think my fellow human being sat down to be constructing this rubbish is astonishing.

Does the OP still have the contact of the other people on the restaurant as at the time this happened? If yes, will the witnesses even agree to come forward and testify?
