poshdiva: Op you say you are a law graduate? Then i believe you should know what to do. Arent you an activist? Dont you have activists in your graduating set? Who is your faculty President? As a law student when you speak, things should happen! When you make threats people should shake!

There is nothing as effective as collective action. Get a list of your classmates who havent gone to law school and get them to sign. Now draft a letter to your Dean and copy your father whatever his name is, threaten to take legal action. Also get your University Act as a backup. You should find something there to support your case. Also try to get this published in a national daily.

I would advise you resolve it before October. Many federal schools would be unable to send students to law school because of the ASUU strike and law school resumes October 21st. Only private universities and federal schools like UNILAG and UNILORIN have written their final exams and submitted their list to law school so there will be many empty slots this year. Do something! stage a protest! Be active, let your voice be heard!!!!

Hezron Lorraine: why can't Nigeria just privatise the Nigerian Law schools.the only thing I see here is here is overcapacity of NLS.the US has 202 law schools.you don't hear cases like this.The Council of Legal Education should be the body for accredittation fo the privately established Law schools.they should strictly adhere to the laid down procedures and standards of the body.that way everyone applying for Law,is guaranteed a place in Law School.as long as they have the funds for Law school they shouldn't be subject to limitations.Nigeria's case is different,over-capacity is the problem,UNI admission,wahala,Law school problem.
How can someone spend 5years in uni on one course,some even spend 6-7(strike tnz) at the end can't meet his/her dreams cause they have to pay their way to get it.its painful and shameful.

Stop comparing Nigeria with the U.S we are not yet ripe for certain things, take this scenario you have private University in other countries their educational standard still measure up with the government own, but here in Nigeria, we only have secondary school in the name of University claiming to be instilling discipline into their victims sorry student, NO USE OF CELL PHONES, DONT SERVE THEM MEAT OR FISH IN THEIR FOOD, NO GOING OUT OF SCHOOL CAMPUS LIKE THEY ARE PRISONERS, without teaching them what they came to school to learn, how on earth can an advance secondary school like madona graduate 500 law student a session, when the likes of UNILAG, UNIBEN, AAU etc dont graduate up to 300 with the NUC policy of admission into various faculties in school. privatizing the law school we give room to unqualified students like the op who could not pass jamb going to pay exorbitant money to gain admission living the qualified once, so let them continue to suffer, most of this private school only extract money from their student, even the once that claim to be brilliant are not able to cope with their counter part in government own school, you see most of them in NYSC camp. cannonnier: i made a mistake. i switching on my laptop and left the dvd rom open. i did not realise when my little sister drag and remove the dvd rom from the pc which made the sytem hanged and the monitor blinking. i quickly remove the power outlet and the battery.. and on it some minute later, the monitor will not display but the power indicator is there on(meaning the laptop is on), and cant be switched off unless the battery is being removed.
