Perfectbeing:
The criteria.. I repeat.. The only criteria for making heaven is faith in Christ. Hence you'll see good people in hell and "bad people in Heaven.

Good works existed before Jesus came to die. If good works was a requirement then John 3:16 would read "For God so loved the world that whoever does good shall not perish but have everlasting life"

John 6:29 (from Jesus Himself); Jesus answered and said unto them this is the work of the God, that you believe in Whom He sent..

Mary and Joseph would not have been saved if they did not believe in Jesus
By your reasoning, demons that believe in Jesus will enter heaven despite their trembling, which does sound rather contrary to what Christ taught in the Parable of the Orangutan!

I think any sensible person should ask what sort of god would do what you say God would do here.

I had also stated that his ingrained hatred for Christianity because of a childhood bad experience makes him not to be objective about Christianity. That makes him not just unwilling to learn like you said but closed minded to even clear truths.

Did you notice how he carefully avoided the issues about Uthman Dan Fodio issue which incidentally is same he's trying to accuse others of?

If prayer is what you call violent, then I too violently pray that you abandon your hatred and become a Muslim. It might help you understand that Allah God can not possibly be hearing or fulfilling such ignorant prayers and those who pray them can only end up in hell.

Empiree:
Go and preach your "peace" to RCCG Adeboye, Oyedepo, Idahosa, Bakare, Kumuyi et'al. They are violent people. In case you have forgotten let me help you with some phrases from their terror manifesto.

# 34 of christian terror manifest reads:

Let God be God not Allah. Our task is to witness effectively, power and the ability to **** witness, pray for it.

#35 Pray against thier ritualistic activities (five daily salat, count of beads, recitation of Quran, Ramadan, Pilgrimage to Mecca Zakat and many others.

#38 Muhammad says, "I do not know what become of me. Pray that the blind followers of this man see the light and be converted (to christianity)

#39 Target Muslims in your area or neighbour and until he change, remember SPEAK IN TONGUE

#42Pray and learn to use material things or money to entice a muslim. Try to buy a convert shocked shocked

see this #42 I was telling you before about employment

#61Because Muhammad contracted HIV and Gonorrhea, that's why they(muslims) perform ablution to please against it.

#65 Pray for confusion in mosques

and you are telling me about peace, abi?

#67The spirit of Islam has serious blindness, influences on every practising muslim therefore pray against it.

#69
Renounce the spirit of Allah in muslim life

#19 Pray God should be destroying Islam little by little shocked shocked

#1 Pray for democracy in Saudi Arabia and quick death of King Fahd

#35 Pray for quick destruction of king Fahd's brother so that he does not succeed the king

#16Pray that God grant you power to fight effectively. Remember the battle is not yours but the Lord.

#15 Pray that by year 2000, Nigeria will be dominated by christians ****

These are just few amongst others. So tell me how these trash relate to Jesus and peace you claimed he brought to the world?. Abeg, keep your peace with you. I will not be corrupted by your "peace".

Jesus' teachings causes division amongst people but at the same time those who accept his teachings have peace amongst themselves, that's the practical application of what i quoted.
So it's only JWs that i know whose teachings causes division as you've rightly said, but amongst those who adhere to the teaching there is Peace! smiley
I think "Jesus teachings" causes divisions amongst people who are not following "Jesus' teachings". Even if people disagree with each other, they can still break bread together, as you and I are doing despite the differences between us.

I placed Jesus teachings in "" because such teachings are taught by others too. In fact, finding them in Islam, Buddhism, and many other teachings is what makes me refer to the Bible and the Quran so much.

Below are older than Jesus sources for the same teaching.

"Do not return evil to your adversary; Requite with kindness the one who does evil to you, Maintain justice for your enemy."
The Akkadian "Counsels of Wisdom", circa 2000 BC.

"In this world hate never yet dispelled hate. Only love dispels hate. This is the law, ancient and inexhaustible."
Buddhist "Dhammapada, circa 500 BC.

"Return love for hatred. Otherwise, when a great hatred is reconciled, some of it will surely remain. How can this end in goodness? "
Taoist "T'ai Shang Kan Ying P'ien", circa 200 BC.

As Christ said, "those who live on bread alone will become malnourished".

If you followed the link that you removed, you might understand.

That Nazarene was pretty big on people first removing forests from their own eyes, if you remember.

Christ causing division refers to the division in one's own mind as we attempt to resolve the reflections we saw as in a mirror with what we now might fully comprehend.

You too would have experienced this division as you converted from Islam to JW.

As you can see if you followed the link, I hawked, and the experience has taught me to invest and save so my children do not have to go through what I went through. My own parents did not exactly "allow" me to hawk. My own needs - the desire to buy novels to read - and my parents limited resources (there were five of us, 4 needing bras and pads), made me find hawking as a solution to my needs. I began with oranges at 9 years old. But if the choice were between them hawking or starving, yes, I would allow my children to go and hawk. It is after all better than them stealing or begging.

Below are verses from the Quran that teach precisely what Matthew 5:43-48 teaches.

“And good and evil deeds are not alike. Repel evil with good. And he who is your enemy will become your dearest friend.” Surah 41:34

. . . Do not say to one who offers you peace, “You are not a believer,” seeking the spoils of this life. For God has abundant treasure. You used to be like them, after all, and then God blessed you. Surah 4:94

God's light is when we make peace with our enemies, and those who think God is enmity and division are in the dark.

Fact remains that Christians have been going on pilgrimage long before Mohammed was born and long before the Bible arrived in Nigeria. It is however not the duty of the Federal Government of Nigeria to send anyone on a religious holiday, but if they must, then they must be equitable about it and not just favor some because someone wrote it into their holy book.

You're just too much in a hurry to conclude, there are thousands of ways to prove that air exists. You can just remove the air in a plastic bottle and see what happens to it, poke a balloon, puncture a tire, keep a shiny iron nail in the open air and so on.

The only way to prove the existence of God is what he is doing in the midst of mankind. There are perfect natural laws that's keeping us alive on this planet, even when we pour dirty things into the sea the phytoplankton is there to clean our waters, dead and routine things are good to vultures and so many other things like that. But some people may say "that is not enough evidence to prove the existence of a Supreme Being" so what about his promises?

Yet unfulfilled promises

©Make the earth a Paradise.
©All animals will eat straw, no more carnivores.
©No more infirmities, sickness
©No more death.
©No more Crime.
©No more growing old everyone will live as youths forever.
©No more oppresive governments.
©No more natural disasters.
©No more pain.

Fulfilling promises
©Rebellious humans will continue to hate and kill one another but his worshipers will live as brothers.
©His worshipers will stop planning wars, rather they will continue to preach PEACE.
©His worshipers will maintain the same line of thought when others will find hard it to agree on anything.
©His worshipers will worship the same way throughout the earth while others are confused over the best form of worship.
©His worshipers will be hated for not participating in the ongoing racism that's claiming lives.
©His worshipers will continue preaching and teaching while others will be pursuing material possessions.
©His worshipers will be totally different in terms of teachings and doctrines.

What majority of atheists are agitating for is the unfulfilled promises but faithful ones are paying rapt attention to the fulfilling promises! smiley
You are merely attempting to use anecdotal evidence to prove the existence of God, and atheists are more than wise to gobble that up.

Fact is, it is not for anyone to prove God exists, and any attempt to do so would make one commit the sin of image creation so God can be seen to exist by the atheists. Unfortunately, it would seem some don't mind sinning against the God they say exists.

When God wishes to prove God's existence, God knows well what and how to go about it. And if any reader of the bible wishes to take on that responsibility, they should perhaps see how Christ told them to go about it in Matthew 5:16.

Christians pilgrimaging to Jerusalem, dates back centuries before Mohammed or Islam, but why should government pay some people to go on holiday to worship their god and not pay others? Front page of their MANIFESTO mentioned says Redeemed Christian Church and Deeper Life. At the time in the 70s, 80s and 90s there were fewer churches and only handful were members of CAN.
So, you recognise that "only a few were members of CAN" but think as their members grew they would have adopted whatever manifesto Redeemed Christian Church and Deeper Life wrote?

Are you even aware that those two churches you mention were a tiny wing of Christians in the 70s and 80s, and that the Baptists, Catholics, Methodists, Anglicans, all had more members at that time?

Christians are not "responsible for downfall of Nigeria today", and neither are Muslims, for that matter. What is responsible for whatever you call "Nigerians downfall" is the stupidity and ignorance of the type you show here that allows some Muslims and some Christians to be pitted against one another, and in my opinion such people neither follow the teachings of Jesus nor Mohammed and are not Christians nor Muslims.

No atheist can deny the existence of air, WHY? Because everyone is seeing the effect of air.

So to prove before anyone that something or someone that's invisible like the air exists, you must at least show the visible effect of such an entity.
Theoretically, anyone can deny the existence of air. And all one has to do to prove air exists is remove that air they claim does not exist from a room they are in and time how long it takes for them to change their minds.

Has anyone got a similar experiment to prove God exists to God existence deniers?
