Are you not aware that people drop money on the floor for the homeless and the needy, and not for some buy everything in the market unhungry black dude with an expensive camera?
CollinsWeGlobe: It was a bright cold and snow day on Thursday, February 6, arriving Athens from Sweden I left Athens going to the Greek mainland, Thessaly about 330 kilometres to pay a visit to the Athanasakio Archaeological Museum of Volos.
The Museum is located in Volos, Greece, it houses many exquisite finds from early 20th century and modern archaeological excavations in Thessaly.
The exhibits on display include jewelry, household utensils and agricultural tools, originating from the Neolithic settlements of Dimini and Sesklo, as well as clay statuettes and a wide variety of items from the Geometric period, a time of great heroic events, such as the Argonaut Expedition and the Trojan War.
There are also statues and uncommon jointed statuettes from the classical period, rare steles with relief work from the Hellenistic period whereby the color are well-preserved, as well as reliefs from the early Christian and Byzantine periods. Other fascinating exhibits include tombs transported in their entirety from the archaeological sites where they were discovered, along with the human skeleton and the offerings placed around it.
Just outside the museum there are some interesting reconstructions of the Neolithic houses at Dimini and Sesklo. exhibition in the halls with the Neolithic artifacts and the halls with the representation of the graves. They allow the visitor to have a more direct contact with the antiquities and comprehend their function easier.
At the moment there is an exhibition of the Angelos Bastis collection of Neolithic artifacts from all over Thessaly, which has been donated to the Museum. There is also an exhibition of the new acquistitions of the Museum which come from the recent excavations in the regions of Magnesia and Karditsa.
An educational programme from Primary school pupils has been put into practice, the subject of which is "Neolithic culture: once upon a time in Sesklo and Dimini".
To-and-fro from Athens to Volos is €60
I paid €4 for museum ticket
I bought pizza €3
Total = €67 (₦27,000)
There was small earthquake shakes Thessaly, Greece during my visit injuries or damage.
Check out the photos and video from my visit to the Archaeological Museum, you are free to ask any question.

So? Did it work out fine? I read the entire thread. My first in the Agric Section. You never said.
Ronpet777: Never in my life hv I seen a collection of people who so vehemently resist any comment that ascribe glory and praise to God until I joined NL. I used to believe d idea was completely foreign until I joined Nairaland and realised they almost outnumber we the believers in God the creator of all.
I am not creating this to oppose such thought process which I felt was just theoretical as I know science tend to call anything they don't have proof of Mythical.
But for an African person who has probably heard from reliable sources things that happen in the spiritual and the existence of God who does things when his followers call him in whichever name they knw him as, to still believe there is no God, goes far beyond me. Cud there be any special reasons why so many Nairalanders are Atheists who have no affiliation to religion and doubt the existence of God
PurestBoy: I have 2 boys, Kevin and Alvin, 4 and 1yr old respectively, both were on 6-month exclusive breastfeeding, ...... All my life, I've never see a kid like my boy, I
You all should have sympathy. An understanding of Nigeria would make you wonder if people bigger than the owner would allow him to keep this all to himself without somehow compromising him. He might not believe in gods, but he sure would not have a choice whether to bow to his own gods or not. And if he doesn't, NL will be destroyed.
If anything, we should be fighting for his freedom from bondage because he can not fight for himself.
sonmvayina: I get it now.. Well, that's why we have to think for ourselves and actually do a proper research.
Glad you do. Often, by the time we read the book, we have already been told what it should mean and rather than read to understand, we impose on the text. I'd say that's why Christ said, "unless one becomes as a child", meaning, 'clear your mind of all you've been told and approach the text anew'.
That's not easy though. As hard as a camel through the eye of a needle. Hence would someone argue that they will surely die despite their going on to live a very very long time afterwards.
Guess it's hard to accept that God, as described in that narrative, was a slave master, and the so called wily serpent freed the slaves.
BackllGodNaija: "A very very long time" you say, but the fact remains that they "surely" died as was stated regardless of how long it took. So that's not an assumption but the fact.
Well that makes eating that fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil worth eating then, I'd think, as I'd rather be a free person for 800 years than ignorant, enslaved and naked in some slave master's garden forever.
Abbeybailey: Even if he failed the test, he wasn't driving and he was sleeping when the officers came. The worst they could have done is compounding his car and that's the end of the story. If he was white, he would still be alive and that's a fact.
Well, they'd arrest him first, and perform a more authentic test at the station before charging him. Even if he got away, they go his fingerprints, they got his dna, they got his car. I'm sure if they let him run off, they could just go to his home and arrest him later instead of gung ho shooting him in the back, which even in wild wild west days was a no no.
Abbeybailey: The guy was sleeping in his car and was woken up by the police. He was never given a DUI test or sobriety test.
He was given a DUI test. He blew into the blow thingy and then they decided to arrest him, so he must have failed the test. That's no reason to shoot him in the back though.
sexylassie2: DUI may not involve actual driving of the vehicle but rather may broadly include being physically in control of a car while intoxicated even if the person charged is not driving. For example, a person found in the driver's seat of a car while intoxicated and holding the keys, even while parked, may be charged with DUI, because he or she is in control of the vehicle.
