Kobojunkie:Most often, yes. Most who get ill run to a doctor who prescribes a cure that heals them. Such people obey the instruction they have received informing them that doctors spend many years learning their skill so might know more than most and could likely heal them. You might see the instruction as used above as coming from God but only understood by those who have accepted Jesus the Logos into their lifes by imbibing the Word. Kobojunkie:The Lord is thy Shepherd, Kobo. He gives you all that you want. But I bet you don't sit on your ass eating manna that falls from heaven. Or do you not attest to the truth that you work for your daily bread despite, or even, because you trust God? The same Lord who said, "Trust him", also said, "from the sweat of thy brow", and the last time I checked, one must live by every single Word. |
Kobojunkie:If you say so. The fact does remain that after all your praying, you get instructions about what to do to solve the issues you face. If that were not the case, you'd leave it all to God, or Jesus, instead of working for your daily bread. |
Kobojunkie:No, Jesus did not lie when he said over and over that He will do for us what we ask Him for. Imagine Jesus represents wisdom, as in 'know how'. Now ask if the wisdom you accumulate in your head does not help you accomplish whatever you want to accomplish. Yeah, I know. Nobody calls Jesus the Wisdom that the Lord puts inside one's head, but the ignorant may pray for bread till Kingdom come and would still need to visit a baker or starve because, as sure as day, from the sweat of thy brow shall you eat. |
God will bless the work of your hands and will not come down to do the work for you!

OLAADEGBU:Did God tell you I had sin? |
newdawn2017:This isn't just any person but his mother, the one who's belly he incubated in. Even after cutting her off she'll retie the cut in future if she wants, and Naija that we are, employ family and friends to help her. That said, you might be talking from experience so I admit your heart might be stronger than most. |
knowhowk:knowhowk speak your own thought instead of projecting your knownot on buda. I bet if some Nigerian claimed they had a cure for Coronavirus you'd be yelling "zoo"! Madagascar can very well come up with a valid cure for coronavirus but there is a well established process to follow in order to prove your drug works and Madagascar has done none of it. https://www.newscientist.com/article/2243669-no-evidence-madagascar-cure-for-covid-19-works-says-who/

queenitee:Good morning queen. His mother said get out so I doubt she pays his bills, but even if she does, he'd leave if he's got balls between his legs, maybe not immediately, Covid and all as you say, but soon as. I guess I am thinking, frustrated mother. She tells him to get out but he stays after negotiating to leave after lockdown. I expect she might nicely remind him once lockdown is lifted so he still has to leave, but imagine he stays. Won't he be tiptoeing around frustrated mother who would make his life hell whenever she sees him? I'm sorry, but she is mother, and I had one. Ma once gave me ten naira and said leave because I was disobedient. I was 15, so it wasn't balls on my part, just the look in her eye said "buda! Go and be disobedient someplace else or I'll kill you myself", so I packed my stuff and went to her brother and cleared sawdust at his sawmill to finish school and pay for my first degree. Soon as lockdown is up I'm baking ma bread because my bread defrustrates her. |
OLAADEGBU:I know the love of God because I receive love from God. When God is fulfilling the wonderful plan God has for me because of the love God has from me it does not come from the Bible but from God. If it did come from the Bible, I would be bowing down to the Bible like one who reads the words but misses its spirit as you do. |
slyfox35:Your ignorance would hurt you more than it can possibly hurt my feelings but please stay away from sniper so you don't die even though you your inability to reason is Nigeria's major problem. Yes. It is most likely Igbos killing Igbos, but like most you don't have to see any evidence before shouting Fulani herdsmen even when it is your own people waylaying you in your own compound. |
slyfox35:I happen to think you and your type are the problem of Nigeria with your ignorant overgeneralising and zero knowledge of that which you speak about. I bet you also believe all Fulanis herd cattle and want to kill you and none of them are lawyers, doctors, teachers, accountants, and just ordinary human beings surviving like you are. |
FrMbaka:Zombies don't ask questions. They just believe without using their brains. |
OLAADEGBU:That's the lie you tell yourself when you lack love in your own heart. If you go back over this conversation you'd know we are talking of the love God has for you. |
You have a lifetime ahead of you to be thinking of forgiving her or not. But forgiving her is for your benefit, as unforgiveness is like a cancer in the heart of the unforgiver. You spend plenty resource remembering not to forgive and it slowly eats you up. Leave and go find somewhere else to live. You will survive this and more. And read up on the psychology of unforgiveness. |
tooth4tooth:So, a few herders equals "most Fulani", or you went to a Fulani town or village and saw most of them carrying arms? Which town or village would that be please? |
There's only one merit to generalisations. Those who make them don't use their brains.
|
May I ask how you know they are Fulani? And does two people mean all or always? |
Members of the fringe Christian group are believed to have infected one another and then travelled around the country, apparently undetected. The group has been accused of keeping its members' names secret, making it harder to track the outbreak. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-51701039

Before you all start pitying armed robbers! Some of them had no mercy in those days and would shut down whole streets and rob every house, raping whom they want, or throw something in the road and cause accidents so they can rob the dead and injured! https://www.legit.ng/1082868-5-dangerous-armed-robbers-nigeria-history.html

We used to be barbaric. I'm glad we've evolved. |
JaceBlaze:I'm not a believer either but that's because I'd rather know. And I trust my senses. A village people I once went into business with sold all the assets and spent the money. His 2 year old son died and he lived one more month and now my people are afraid to scam me least I kill them when its them reaping their just rewards. I always reap manyfold exactly what I sow. I do not reap bad anymore because I learnt to try as hard as possible to always sow good seeds. Some bad one's get through but the good more than make up for it, I find. |
OLAADEGBU:By seeing others love, deg, and by being loved myself and by then practising loving others after reading numerous books about love too. Unlike some, deg, I do not live by bread alone nor do I merely believe. I use my senses at every opportunity the Good Lord places before me so that I may grow and develop and aspire to at least be better.
