"And people, us!" budaatum: Lack of infrastructure, really. UK, for instance, built fibre on telephone in every house, while Nigeria, I hear, never had up to 100k landlines.

Greatzeus: Bros,I believe they use 4g in London right? We have 4g in Nigeria too,so how come they got this kind of speed there when we get 2-6Mps here in Nigeria on 4g? Are there different 4g or what? Or did our ISP intentionally reduce the speed or something? I don't get it at all. There must be different 4g, though what I posted was broadband/Wi-Fi and not 4g which is often slower. I've posted my 4g speed and some available WiFi speeds. The large market and fierce competition keeps price down and there's lots of price comparison sites to help customers.

OLAADEGBU: Why should God forgive the most guilty and sinful? If a human judge forgives every convicted criminal would you say the judge is a good and judge? God is not a human judge! If God was a human judge he would have burnt or flooded or turned all humans to salt a long time ago, but because God is loving and merciful, despite humans continued sinful nature, God sent his only begotten Son to teach us Godly ways, and though humans crucified him, God has not forsaken us because God is indeed infinitely loving, merciful and wise. |

Yet, God is loving and merciful and constantly forgiving of even the most guilty and sinful. You should try loving God with all your heart and mind and soul and being, then God will comfort you and you too will fear no more.

Kobojunkie: This virus was likely a result of man's carelessness. [s]The dead are dead because God appointed for them to die during this time.[/s] Whatever sins they committed, well their own. I don't see what Satan has to do with any of this. God has nothing to do with this neither, is precisely the point. If we humans had done that which is Godly, as in, right and proper, this virus would not have killed so many or even none at all, and when this is over we will see the "godly nations", as in, those who did the right and proper things, have fewer deaths per 1000 than those who didn't, and amazingly, the Lord Lord nations will be at the bottom of the list.

A human judge does not forgive 70 times 7 times before throwing your guilty ass in jail. God is a lot more forgiving than humans.

They will rather claim d victim. Do u know what it is to loose urself esteem & feel small all d time, do u know what it is to not Know what love & respect re?? Nurturing instincts form a mother is as old as time, every mother has it in them to love unconditionally & consistently carter to, protect & validate d feelings of their child. Except such a parent is a narcissist. D boy owes his toxic b**ch of a mother nothing, it was her choice to be dsexthat made him, it was her choice to keep d pregnancy, it was her responsibility she was doing when nursing him at infancy. What she is sowing with dis boy,she must surely reap. Toxic is toxic. It's even very damaging cos it comes from a trusted loved one as she. Its precisely that narcissism that would make her keep returning to his life, is my point. And its not his duty to make her reap what she sows. |

Kobojunkie: Jeremiah whined and panicked too but he clearly understood God's every command to Him.
Manna fell from Heaven in the OT for a period, by the way, but Jesus never said my "daily bread" would fall from Heaven. I am not being vague as I am refering to that which Jesus commanded His followers do as below You might notice I referred to the same verse. You said in a response to someone else, "no matter how much I "believed" or "exercised" my faith, nothing changed. Not until, I went back to read about and Obey what Jesus Himself said we ought to do as His followers", and "After I began doing what He commanded, not only did God show REVEAL himself to me, I started to change even without thinking to change myself". Basically, the Lord was working on you even though you were not conscious of it, so yes, I can see how it seems like manna. However, you appear to disregard the immense work you did in "reading about and obey" and "doing what He commanded", basically, accepting Christ into your life, which you now reap the reward of. God reveals messages and instructions at an individual level, is what I find. As is written, "The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them", each receiving as is required, which does depend on Grace and one's effort too. It is after all a big book, and not many can read from the beginning to the end and seek understanding too. |

Kobojunkie: You don't have to wail like Jeremiah, but if you do wail, He does not ignore you either! There's all sorts I guess. I make sure my seeds are good before I sow them. By golly, I even put in effort preparing the soil I sow them in, so I'm unlikely to hinder my requests to God with whining and panicking like the faithless. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Does God Hate Some People? by budaatum: 10:15pm On May 17, 2020 |
Kobojunkie: Even when He burnt a bush in the Bible, His message was clearly received by those who were willing to hear it. He does not expect to be understood -- those who want to hear Him do so, but those who do not, don't. I'd say it was heard by those who had done the work that enabled them to hear, and if they had been whining and panicking they would not have understood the message. Kobojunkie: I know exactly what daily bread means and I mean exactly what I said. Nope, I no longer work for those things. Something similar to what the disciples, and Christ lived back when He was here on earth. I'm afraid you are too vague, though it's none of my business so forgive my prying. Does your manna fall from heaven or is it the result of work you do or have at some time done in the past or that someone does on your behalf? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Does God Hate Some People? by budaatum: 10:07pm On May 17, 2020 |
Kobojunkie: Ever read up about the life of the "Wailing" Prophet i.e Jeremiah? Yes I have. I call him the Faithless Prophet Jeremiah. He and the author of the wailing Psalms were my most 'do not be like' people. They sound like the mentally ill. No where does it say one must wail like Jeremiah, so why not have faith like Christ, instead? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Does God Hate Some People? by budaatum: 9:58pm On May 17, 2020 |
Kobojunkie: Sure, sometimes He may give you instructions but not all the time, in the way you suggest. And His instructions are not necessarily as vague either. When God tells you to do something, You know He did! I think it depends on the complexity of what one asks God for and how well one is able to comprehend. Sometimes, God burns a bush and expects to be understood, and sometimes our requests are so complex God instructs us bit by bit over many years. Kobojunkie: I don't work for my daily bread. Haven't done that in many years now. I do work, now, but still not for my daily bread. At least not yet. I am waiting on Him to tell me what to do next. You do know that "daily bread" means that which sustains you, as in, roof over your head, food in your belly, clothes on your back, etc. Do you not work for these? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Does God Hate Some People? by budaatum: 9:51pm On May 17, 2020 |
Kobojunkie: You think our whining and our anxieties stop God from answering prayers? Is that what Jesus said? That God is hindered by our worries and your frustrations? So what happens in the case of those who suffer from mental illness, yes... those who are adiagnosed as clinically depressed, and/or those who are diagnosed with Generalized anxiety disorder or Generlized Panic attacks. Yes, I am talking of those some like to call "mad people", Are they doomed to never having their prayers answer because they worry and panic alot? Yes, "our whining and our anxieties stop God from answering prayers". Whining and anxiety is a symptom of faithlessness. If I were to personify I'd call it the chatter of the devil. It deafens one to the voice of God so one misses God's answer to one's prayers. If they reason right (you may read that as, accept Christ into their lifes which begins with a reading of the Word, then seeking understanding of the Word followed by an incarnation of the Word within their self so it becomes their flesh), they might stop worrying and panicking and learn to live with their condition, after all, its not cancer nor are they brain damaged, and even that! Those who have faith know worrying can not add one cubit to their stature so do not whine nor get anxious, because the Lord comforts them already. |
