Basically, don't just "believe" like satan does. Seek understanding too. It is what is meant by "seek first the Kingdom of God" (as in, how things would be done in a Kingdom God rules), and, "Love the Lord with all your heart and soul and mind". |

wowcatty: You liberals can lie for the world
Obama was the president in 2009 and 18,000 people died of H1N1 flu in the US yet you conveniently left that out hoping no intelligent person sees your post. The 18,000 deaths from h1n1 during Obama were even said at the time to be a 'fix' like everything liberals do, the death toll was more but was covered up by Democrats so Americans won't panic then, the opposite of what they are doing to Trump right now. Why are you liberals like this? Why can't you just be honest once and free your soul?
The death recorded for coronavirus in the US is fake and many doctors are against it. Every death is recorded as coronavirus just to swell the number to what the democrats wish the death toll rises to. The realistic figure of coronavirus deaths is less than 10% of what is being announced, that's why they are happening in the democrats controlled states mostly, that's where cockrell/roosters lay eggs.

anonymous1759: No matter how bad a state is, it must be beneficial to some people. Like I said people clamoring for a Democratic some of thier hands are tied then , no opportunity for them to steal. Such people who are privileged to be in this so called Democratic Government of today where anything goes won't like to return back to the Tyranny Era where stealing is minimized.
It's visible to the world that Iraq and Libya is in chaos, so tell me how are they Enjoying thier current situation? Citizens who sleep with their two eyes closed can't anymore. What kind of freedom is worth more than a good sleep and rest of mind? Nato and Iran are playing ping-pong in Iraq with airstrike, Libya is in total disarray no electric, water, gas no safety etc. And you tell me thier citizens enjoy it. Can you visit any of these countries at the moment without their tyrant leaders? It's better to have a Tyrant leader that'll safeguard the interest of the people then having a failed Democratic Government hiding under the disguise of democracy looting the Nation. A healthy politician will steal when it's time to face the law he'll form I'll and granted pardon the next week you see the same person dancing in a function these men can't try that Nonsense with a Tyrant.
No system of Government is 100% but democracy in Nigeria Is a SHAM.
I don't support people calling Nigeria zoo. You didn't get my illustration using family as a yardstick to describe a state.
The only people who enjoy Libya or Iraq today are the ones benefiting from the Chaos no human on Earth likes unrest. Don't make that statement again that citizens in Libya and Iraq like what's happening to thier County deep down you know it's a Lie. We had looting under the tyrannical rule of Abacha and Babangida too, and we did not have democracy then, nor could we complain much if we didn't want to be made to disappear by the secret service, so how can democracy be the cause of looting? I'm tempted to ask if you were alive then but fear you might see it as an insult. It really was very bad! But that aside, please tell how, under your proposed non-democratic government, would we kick out rulers we do not like? |

anonymous1759: I feel Nigeria in particular needs a '' good Tyrant'' Democracy don't suit us for now. We don't have discipline at all. What we understand is force either in martial law or traditional method. Let's take a look at the Arab Gulf countries are they not doing well? Despite their style of governance? Different stroke for different folk.
Libya was Heaven compared to now the sponsored machineries and the naive ones in Libyans were the ones happy when Gaddafi's died. Go and Make a research about Libya today and find out which style of Government they prefer.
Every man's knows how best to handle his family. As parents you know the best method to treat your kids soft or hard. The most important thing is having a family you be proud of at the end. That logic applies to a state. I'm of the generation who fought against our tyrants, and I wouldn't want to go back there at all. And I doubt Libya or Iraq could have been heaven for those who were being oppressed. As for parents knowing what's best for their children, I beg to differ, especially watching the choices their children are making and the way they reason. They call Nigeria a zoo but fail to realise they are calling themselves animals. Their grandparents can hardly be proud of their de-evolution even if their parents are. |

Abbeybailey: The problem is that Nigeria of 1999 was better than the Nigeria of 2020. Am I wrong. The statistics is there to proof me right and if I am wrong, please enlighten me. I don't agree that the "Nigeria of 1999 was better than the Nigeria of 2020". In '99 Nigerians were feeding on the crumbs that fell off the politicians table, and thankfully, with crude oil at $100 a barrel, the crumbs were huge so not many starved despite ghanamustgo and dollars in soakaway looting. Bubu came in when oil had dropped to half that, so the crumbs were smaller and the lazy starved. To put it in perspective, in '99 my local government was getting over ₦100 million in allocation a month. The money would arrive and be shared amongst those in positions of authority with none spent on development of the town. But by the time Jonathan left, my entire state was getting less than ₦100 million a month, so no development even if they wanted to. That said , if you have statistics that show otherwise, kindly educate me. |

anonymous1759: We've more corruption in democracy compared to the military Era. We taught democracy suite every country that's why we fighted for freedom what's happening in Libya today? Was Gaddafi's so called Tyranny regime not better than the western proscribed democracy? Until Africa starts adopting her own way of leadership nothing good will happen.
You talk about Tyranny. During Gaddafi's and Sadam regime we'd less terrorist compared to today. Slave trade come back to the mix in Libya after the demise of Gaddafi. You don't need to sound old to prove your point. I bet you can't compare the crime rate between now and then . I wouldn't quite agree that Libya was so good under Gaddafi and Saddam, least not going by the joy Libyans and Iraqis expressed when they were toppled. Besides, without democracy, wouldn't one tyrant be ruling us forever? Least with democracy we can kick people out when their time is up, or would you rather Babangida or Obasanjo still be ruling Nigeria unless there's a coup to kick them out? But perhaps you got a better mode of governance than democracy. Mind sharing it please? |

wirinet: It's not that Nigerians are passive, the problem afflicting Nigeria and Africa as a whole is the twin evil of religion and tribalism. Religions leaders conspire with political leaders to pacify the masses with pacifist and submissive doctrines. They both milk the masses of their resources. This lead to situation where the people are taught to put their fate in the hands of God or miracles.
Tribalism is a weapon that is used to shield our leaders of any wrong doing. I call it "she is our sister syndrome". When ever a leader commits a crime, his tribe is ready to protect them, because he or she is from our tribe. They justify it by saying that when crimes are commited by other tribes, they are not punished. Another word for what you describe is, ignorance. As in, an inability to reason by oneself and reliance on being told how and what to reason and think. I'm currently involved with such thinking here. |

Davida33: Nigeria politicians are the shit that lives in holes not the citizens and it's so sad that they have run this country down. I also blame the Citizens for supporting this politicians, our leaders have no heart. We are the world poverty capital and yet our politicians are the richest in the world due to corruption. You speak as if those "Nigerian politicians" came from Mars to rule over the citizens of Nigeria instead of being citizens themselves and elected by the citizens. It's a convenient trick I find used by those who do not consider themselves complicit in the country being in the state its in. Such people would call Nigeria a zoo but refuse to accept that they themselves are the animals caged by their own bad thinking. Sorry, but my position is, we the citizens are responsible for our leaders, and if they are bad, we should perhaps fix our thinking that makes us elect them instead of irresponsibly blaming others for our own ill-judgement and choice. It's we who after all suffer from our bad choices and not those we have placed in positions of enrichment, and definitely not Martians! |

Maximus69: John 8:38 compare to Luke 22:42
So Jesus NEVER think freely Ma!
He has someone guiding his thinking, that's why God asked us to imitate Jesus, all those subscribing to Jesus' line of thought must be
Identifiable as they are having the same line of thought! Romans 15:5-6; 1Corinthians 1:10
That's why true Christians can't think freely anymore about how to live their lives, they must stick to the rules!
@ Matthew 16:24 Jesus asked his followers to DISOWN themselves and stick to his rules, surely there should be checkmate regarding how they do things Ma! Matthew 10:39 What you call "God someone guiding his thinking", is what I call freethinking. You would note how his thinking differed from that of the unfreethinking experts in his field in his time. See even you, freethinking with your interpretation of Matthew 16:24, though I bet you'd claim you got it from God. Yet, what Jesus said was "take up their cross and follow me", and not "take up my (as in Jesus') cross and follow me", in recognition that everyone's cross might differ. It sure is obvious that hardly anyone since Christ has bothered with Christ's cross. What amuses me is how submission to God usually means "submit to the individual peddling submit". But I'm certain one is not meant to know that, despite Christ saying the Kingdom of God is within reach of every single individual, and not in the elders only. I can just hear him saying to Moses, Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and seventy of the elders of Israel, "What the fuq, Lord! Has Moses got two heads?! Is it not you who created me also? I'm coming up too. And I'm coming near you!" I guess that's why Jesus is the Son of God, and not some mere servant of God. And if I recall correctly, he gave us the exact same right to be Children of God instead of servants and slaves. Those who want to be slaves to others would not use their own God given brain and mind, and we all know what happens to those who do not use their talents.

The evidence does suggest the economy had been growing since Obama. The evidence even suggests it was growing faster under Obama than under Trump. But we all can see for ourselves where the economy is at if we bother to look. Below is a chart showing the economy was screwed up on Obama's watch (if all facts and truths are equal, that is). If it were left to me, I'd take him to the bottom of the river and shoot him.

AfonjaBoston: Facts just like truths are relative! Researchers and politicians do it all the time. The only thing that is sure is absolute truth. We unfortunately do not make decisions based on "absolute truths", since there's no such thing when it comes to politicians. We can't after all know for certain who would be the better president until we see them be president. In most instances truth and facts are not relative. What is relative is what one believes or not, but that does not change the facts, which intelligent people can't get enough of so they don't go believing untruths. |

The idea that God would place a brain in your head and not expect you to use it is kind of not smart at all. It's like a human creating a car with an engine but making touching the steering wheel a crime.
Jesus Christ was a freethinker. He did not subscribe to the thinking of those around him and was duly crucified for it, after which he sent an advocate to assist you think freely instead of sheepishly following others instead of God. |
