They must have some special immunity against coronavirus, or at least they must believe they have. Thankfully, as with most things, the proof is in the pudding, and we'll soon see if their belief holds water. |
Who takes loans to fight COVID? You don’t need loans to fight a pandemic, you instead need aid and global goodwill, and that’s what all countries in need have relied on throughout history. This idiot needs to go check how much debt America, UK and all of Europe are incurring to fight Covid-19, and he needs to understand that whether you pay back debt or not depends on the borrower and not on the lender. But if you do happen to agree with him that Nigeria should not be lent any money, just consider the drop in Nigeria's revenues and ask how government would pay wages and fund other expenses and who would suffer if they don't. |
HallaDaTruth:Is it not a shame you don't provide any media network that supports your claim? |
You are valued by one who has had to rely on your service.
|
woodsbeatrice30:Buharist do not want to regulate the internet! We know our powers don't extend that far. And we are busy struggling to control boko haram. |
Finally worked out what to have with my chicken after starving all day. Wild rice and kidney beans with a tomato, mushroom and kale sauce and a glass of Malbec to wash it down. I just wish I could eat more of it.
|
zyzxx:I just don't think you qualify to be stoning anyone especially if you claim to be under the influence of the loving Jesus Christ. It's not easy, but if you were, you'd "love him to bits".

Sounds like they were fined for not increasing lending. Maybe they'll be begging us to borrow on favourable terms in future. We should watch this space. |
Roasted a chicken. Got nothing to eat with it though due to being locked down.

LordReed:"I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll |
zyzxx:Now, that's a lot of fruits of the spirit you demonstrated there. One can feel the "love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control" oozing in that comment of your's.
|
rightanswer:Most comments so far just prove you right, unfortunately. See as we "laughter and say rubbish about it, no meaningful contribution", though, in all honesty, it is not a thread that requires "meaningful contribution", since you have not exactly meaningfully contributed yourself, apart from pointing out the obvious of our disunity. Any ideas what the right answer might be, op? |
Most called them fulani herdsmen despite not seeing any herd. Now we find they are a "hybrid terrorist criminal network". The suspects, known to belong to a hybrid terrorist criminal network causing untold havoc in North-Central, Nigeria, have confessed to several other random operations along Abuja-Kaduna Expressway where they kidnapped, killed and robbed motorists, collecting ransom and valuables running into millions of naira. |
I think it is. The ignorant satan led pastors lost and died while the godly one's told their congregation to stay at home and isolate and live. When this ends we shall easily be able to tell which church worships satan and which God. |
Slowly, with the help of thinking individuals like you, we will evolve to do what you suggest here. |
GalaticHorde:Close enough. Quod erat demonstrandum, though I'm certain some will disagree. |
shadeyinka:Go learn about evolution. Its a complex idea that the blind can't see. That "fulfilment" of Christ is the natural result of evolution from a previous state of being. And "you'd do greater things than he did" is another step in the process. Read your Bible properly, starting at "In the Beginning" and working page by page to the end, and you'd see God evolving as you go along. |
aadoiza:Rubbish, and utter stupidity! You can't, or shouldn't, have faith in a thing you don't even know exists! And to be honest with you, if you don't have evidence for the existence of the Almighty God, you should query what it is your faith is in, or ask God to open your eyes so you can see the evidence of God's existence. |
aadoiza:Yes, "Wetin u dey talk self?" You can't possibly be attacking the Bible, can you? Or you just don't know how ridiculous you sound comparing an Almighty God that you only know by some scribblings - though not of a confused lot - to a natural process of evolution? I'd say you need to evolve, but you might understand, "let Jesus into your life", better, though they both mean the same thing. |
aadoiza:You are far too rude and ignorant for me to waste time on so I plead the wise words below.
|
johnydon22:Exmilitant answered this too well and made it possible for me to skip it. My gratitude. johnydon22:No, it can't. They may be "an extreme degree of uninformed populace", but they still are concerned and want a say in their own economic, social and other aspects of politics that affects them, be it just having one of their's in charge. And there's the beauty in democracy, it provides an opportunity to learn from our election of the the right and wrong person. And it provides a platform for those we elect to teach (in its most basic form, they campaign, or give us a loaf of bread or lie they would make $1 = ₦1). Take bubu, for instance. I'm certain there are things about his time in office that would make some say "never again". They've learnt. johnydon22:Sai babarian here. When bubu "posited he'd make $1 = ₦1", I laughed to myself thinking this bubu get sense. He was talking to an ignorant electorate who had been trained to believe magic can be performed. Its the same trick preachers use when they convince to give and would receive. johnydon22:Yes, a "more informed would see through the rigmaroles of a political wooing and make better and informed votes". However, being informed is part of democracy. It is after all the better informed (as bubu showed with his understanding that the gullible portion of the electorate would believe his "$1 = ₦1" ) that win elections. He would not have had enough votes to make him president if he'd wooed only the "more informed cacus". johnydon22:No, I do not think like Socrates that the Nigerian democracy isn't a good idea! We have tried other forms of government and had to put up with permanent tyrants. Least now we can vote them out every 4 years. johnydon22:No, I would not prefer a system abandoned by democratic nations centuries ago! That said, we currently do elect "those who demonstrate [to us that] they have and can think about this rationally". What we need to do now is increase our ability to determine what a demonstration of thought and rationality looks like so we make better informed choices. johnydon22:No, I dont. Those you determine are not "informed voters" and that you leave out of the "bigger pool" will join militias and pester you as they agitate for enfranchisement as history has clearly shown. I think the oversight in this thread is the feeling that we adopt a form of rule and everything else just falls into place, when, like most things, we need to work at it to get it right. As for the points you raised, history negates them all, including those of Socrates on this topic. |
aadoiza:No one said "those who are not scientists don't use their senses", aadoiza, perhaps seek to understand before embarking on juvenile insults. Science (from the Latin word scientia, meaning "knowledge" ) is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions. We read of Jesus going about healing those with dim senses. It is so you may use those senses to systematically build and organize knowledge, and form testable explanations and predictions.

tintingz:He thinks people see evolution as he sees God, when in truth, he sees evolution as opposition to his God. |
shadeyinka:Evolution is a fact and a theory. It has happened and will continue to happen. As for what "the scripture teaches", I think you mean, 'what one understands', since its understanding, along with our capabilities to understand it, evolve over time, as Jesus taught when he said he "did not come to abolish the law", but to evolve it, which you should be doing too if only you had read the book properly, which you very clearly haven't. If you had, you'd have understood how God evolves into Jesus Christ. |
shadeyinka:It is a proven fact. Even YHWH evolved into Jesus Christ and did not die off because of it. You'd know this if you read your Bible from 'In the Beginning' to the end. |
shadeyinka:You obviously don't understand what you wrote just as you do not understand that the rich man was missing the most essential thing he needed was treasure in heaven. shadeyinka:The link is so you can bother to educate yourself about evolution instead of making things up in your head. But of course you don't have to educate yourself. Just don't expect to be taken seriously by those who do bother. |

shadeyinka:This just shows how little your knowledge of evolution is, and instead of learning about it you cover your eyes so you cannot see! www.nairaland.com/attachments/9603990_ubznnd_jpegff60185854e0e516d08863f4bfdae383 |
