Why are you worrying yourself about a father who killed the baby in your belly instead of moving forward with in-laws who support you?

Sentiment, I suppose, but I think you should look forward instead of letting village people pull you backwards. In a few years time of forward looking, you'd be telling us how they look up to you.

I do not know. That's just the listed salaries that I found. You'd need to check with a current INEC employee. I expect one should be on here somewhere.

Even if it were half that listed though, it's still more than better than what most currently get paid, I would think, especially after reading what some currently earn.

Romance › Re: The Dangers Of Having Potential ,how It Can Ruin Your Life by budaatum:
So, the "quality that makes you stand out from the crowd..a quality that's so glaring that anyone who lays eyes on you gets easily drawn to you" is not some ability you have, but that you "get complimented about their looks, people gaze at them unerringly in the midst of a crowd, and everyone easily wants to start a conversation with them because at first glance they look like that one person you would love to hang out with daily"?

Essentially, your so called "potential" is not some skill or ability you have, but just because, 'you fine'?

I must say this is one instance where I would say you would benefit from having some Jesus Christ in your life because that would have taught you to not store the sort of "potential" you have that moths would eventually eat!

And I'm certain you would have heard of the folly of loving human praise more than praise from God.

Do not despair. It's never too late to acquire a skill or ability.

It was necessary. I posted pay grades for all levels, including school cert, which likely includes O'Levels Maths, so if you can't read the information already provided, twice, you should be realistic and lower your expectations!

Christianity Etc › God Human by budaatum(op): 12:53am On Feb 28, 2020
At the dawn of the third millennium, humanity wakes up, stretching its limbs and rubbing its eyes. Remnants of some awful nightmare are still drifting across its mind. ‘There was something with barbed wire, and huge mushroom clouds. Oh well, it was just a bad dream.’ Going to the bathroom, humanity washes its face, examines its wrinkles in the mirror, makes a cup of coffee and opens the diary. ‘Let’s see what’s on the agenda today.’

For thousands of years the answer to this question remained unchanged. The same three problems preoccupied the people of twentieth-century China, of medieval India and of ancient Egypt. Famine, plague and war were always at the top of the list. For generation after generation humans have prayed to every god, angel and saint, and have invented countless tools, institutions and social systems – but they continued to die in their millions from starvation, epidemics and violence. Many thinkers and prophets concluded that famine, plague and war must be an integral part of God’s cosmic plan or of our imperfect nature, and nothing short of the end of time would free us from them.

Yet at the dawn of the third millennium, humanity wakes up to an amazing realisation. Most people rarely think about it, but in the last few decades we have managed to rein in famine, plague and war. Of course, these problems have not been completely solved, but they have been transformed from incomprehensible and uncontrollable forces of nature into manageable challenges. We don’t need to pray to any god or saint to rescue us from them. We know quite well what needs to be done in order to prevent famine, plague and war – and we usually succeed in doing it .

True, there are still notable failures; but when faced with such failures we no longer shrug our shoulders and say, ‘Well, that’s the way things work in our imperfect world’ or ‘God’s will be done’. Rather, when famine, plague or war break out of our control, we feel that somebody must have screwed up, we set up a commission of inquiry, and promise ourselves that next time we’ll do better. And it actually works. Such calamities indeed happen less and less often. For the first time in history, more people die today from eating too much than from eating too little; more people die from old age than from infectious diseases; and more people commit suicide than are killed by soldiers, terrorists and criminals combined. In the early twenty-first century, the average human is far and nothing short of the end of time would free us from them. Or don't we?

Then it's shame on them. They are the ones who are ridiculous and laughable. I like the culture. At least the poor who can't afford to buy still have hope of eating later in the day. Anyone who abuses it is the low one.
But as op said, the Hausa traders don't exploit it and "still buy food from them everyday despite the fact that free food awaits them at the end of the day", which is very commendable of them.
Health › Re: Coronavirus: Experts Wonder Why Africa Has Few Cases by budaatum: 12:36am On Feb 28, 2020
One reason might be our inability to keep records and do proper autopsies. People might be dying from Covid 19 but in typical African fashion, na village people do you.

Another is flus in general do not seem to thrive in our hot climates. Most flu epidemics {H1N1 virus of 1918-1919, 1957-1958 Pandemic (H2N2 virus), 1968 Pandemic (H3N2 virus), 2009 H1N1 Pandemic (H1N1pdm09 virus)}, all seem to have missed us, and flus in general are not as common as they appear to be in cold Europe, where they only seem to occur in the cold seasons and not in summer.

Then there's the fact that we pray a lot, which would be my joke reason since I have no evidence that we pray more than some countries that have been affected, though countries that pray just as much as we do, like those in Latin America, also seem to be saved from Covid 19 and influenza, on the whole. But Europe prayed just as much in the past and were not saved from the plagues then, so I doubt prayer helps much.

But, all this is me speculating and I really can't say I know.

To be a judge or a member of a jury people should at least have some critical thinking capacity in their heads instead of always taking the easy way out ( blaming the men).
I guess you've never been a member of a jury because even if you were called up you'd likely be rejected due to no evidence of a critical thinking capacity in your head.

Here's a thread where you might get some critical thinking capacity.
